I just started messing around with Jinpachi for the last few days(I know I'm late to the party). Haven't watched the whole video yet, but looking forward to it. I think Aris is right, Jinpachi is a very unique character, with a few highly unorthodox combos and setups. I don't know if Jinpachi is still considered top tier, but he's at least high tier for sure. I want to share some of the things I've discovered so far. Combos: (I should have just said, the following moves have a guaranteed f,f+4 follow up. Anything that causes untechable KD, or if the opponent doesn't tech, will give you guaranteed f,f+4 OTG. f,f+3 works too. It's a little faster but does a little less damage.) From f,f+4, to f,f+4 (58 damage). Another untechable KD, guaranteed f,f+4 follow up. From f,f+3 (see next section for tech chasing options), to d/b+4 or d+4 From u+4 (see next section for tech chasing options), to d/b+4 or d+4. I haven't figured out how to optimize this combo yet. You can get at least one more hit while the opponent is grounded and then begin a tech chase. From d+1+3. It's possible to do about 50 damage from Jinpachi's throw vs crouching enemy, where he throws the opponent high in the air. From b+1+2, to f,f+4 or f,f+3. OTG combo again. From d/b+1+2. Same OTG combo. From f+3, to u/f+3+4,4 (41 damage). The 4 (low kick from fly stance) is absolutely guaranteed if you hit with f+3 (f+3 recovers very quickly), whether the opponent stays on the ground or not. If they try to get up, there's a very cool trick you can do (see tech chase section). From b+1,2. Also works with the same OTG combo, however, it's possible to do slightly more damage (75 vs 70) if you do b+1,2, to f+3+4,2. The 2 from AP stance will hit the opponent OTG and this combo works on all characters I believe (it works on big bodies and normal bodies). Tech chasing: You've probably noticed that Jinpachi can make OTG combos from a lot of his moves. Jinpachi is very good at tech chasing (this is what makes him different) with his AP and FLY stances, and his long range moves that hit enemies OTG. I've discovered several setups that are practical against a real opponent. From u/f+4. If the opponent doesn't tech you get a free hit OTG. Depending on how they tech you can chase them on reaction. The key is learning to cancel Jinpachi's AP stance (the reverse version is not cancellable), which you can do by tap a direction to cancel the ending animation, after which you can do whatever you want. From d/b+1+2. OTG combo possible. This move is techable. From 1,2 to tech chase with AP stance. From f+1+2 to tech chase with AP stance. From u+4, to d/b+2,1 to tech chase. This only works if the opponent tries to get up immediately after the u+4. If they do the d/b+2,1 will float them a little bit but not enough for a combo. You may proceed to tech chase with AP or just walk up tech chase (not sure which is better). From f+3 to u/f+3+4,2. This will only work if the opponent tries to get up (it doesn't matter how; if they do anything except stay OTG they will get hit by 2 from FLY stance) immediately after the f+3. This will out the opponent in a bound state, after which I do d/f+1,1 to b+1,2 for a total of 67 damage and decent wall carry (more damage if they hit the wall, obviously). Remember, this ONLY works if the try to get up. If they don't get up you have to do 4 instead of 2 from FLY stance. In general you can start a tech chase with Jinpachi's AP and FLY stance from any hard KD. That's it so far.
I'm gonna go start practicing with Jinpachi immediately and pick him as my partner with Lars. Oh man, this old dude looks like he'd be a nightmare to fight online...
Pachi takes around 10 mins or less to learn. I picked him up but dropped him for some reason I cannot remember. I might pair him with Devil Jin. I need an easy character to balance out the demands of a Mishima.
I prefer Skillpachi with Kazuya. Diabolical punishment, easy combos, team synergy, and overall ease doing what you want. Maybe A.Ogre might have better movement. Definitely a better throw game, because of his Waning Moon. Also, if you're using Kazuya and you want to tag buffer ws2, you can't do your own custom combo, as it transitions to the team's Great! combo automatically, so that's a minus for Jinpachi. However, rage activates faster with Jinpachi because Kazuya likes him.
knee into headbutt will also not work if you are to the left (ssl), the headbutt misses. iWS3 into d/f+3,1 is very consistent (and actually not hard at all, but missable) but can whiff at slight ssl axis+max d/f+2 range. personally i just use (d/f+1), d/f+1,1, d/f+3,1 for most of my teams off d/f+2 for consistency.
Kaz has low pokes but makes up for it in punishment and execution. Execution is needed for all the mishamas that's why kaz is considered s teir. But I agree dj is the best in the game.
No, you misunderstand me. The netcode is great. Probably the best netcode of any fighting game out right now. What I meant was actually playing vs people. That's what causes the rage. Just check out how Aris will rage when he plays online. I'm just like that but probably worse.
You all think that jinpachi's damage output is good with little execution? You all forgot about asuka. She is a monster in term of juggling. I always get at least 90 damage whenever i play her with Leo
Jincapchi's right axe kick (f+4) is a little bit slower than other Mishimas, according to the frame data (22 frames vs 19 for other Mishimas). I actually like f+1+2 (gasshouken) a lot. It's kind of like demon's breath (Heihachi 1+2) but a little slower (15 vs 12 frames) and has better range. I like to use 1+2 a lot when playing Heihachi. f,f+4 is also really good. Recovering crouched means it takes 1 additional frame to do a standing move (it takes 1 frame to crouch/stand from crouch). f+1+4 does a lot of damage (43) so it's good as a wall combo ender. Didn't Kazuya get Jinpachi's d/f+1+2 in Tekken 7?
Thank you so much dude now I can perform different combos. But I have a question I teamed jinpachi wit unknown and I've made up some good combos but I wanna ask u am I doing it right?
I picked up Skillpachi as an alternate with the Pedobears to mix it up and WOW is he retarded CHEAP!!! But also a lot of fun, it's kinda satisfying landing his hits, which raging with PURE POWER!!! Couple things Aris missed, 1,2 is launch punishable on block and be wary of the short range, as it will miss. Also, d/f+2 into knee and headbutt will not connect if you launch them at max range.
You cannot HC a move where the second input has to be pressed before the first one even lands. You are not confirming the 1 hitting, when the 1 hits, even on the first frame, you cannot input 2 anymore.
Yep, I totally agree and have also resorted to relying on the d/f+1,1 extension for extreme consistency, especially since I play online. But I love the combos Aris uses off the d/f+2 and keep practicing them in between matches, lol.
How would u be able to tell if someone is trying to rise up in order to get the d1 bound after u4? It's hard to read if a player is goin to rise up off the floor as oppossed to someone who does a getup kick or rolls sideways
didnt say he needs anything else. IF he came out with 112, he'd better. i know what you mean since my main is mishimas and also love to play jinpachi. the only thing i was little disappointed at 1st is that he cant do 1,1 or 1,2 like others. just saying :p
It is not even CLOSE to being as good. Mishima 112 is hit-confirmable for like a year to make it failproof. Jinpachis 1,2 is not, you have to do both punches instantly, the second one being -17 on block...
I have to disagree with you on that second part. I live in America and when i play TTT2 i have pretty damn good connection online with randoms around 4-5 bars most of the time...some times i don't even get what people are going through cuz the netcode for this game is amazing and not mention you can practice in a lag situation just in case you run into bad connections. They must have bad connections with certain people or a bad internet connection in general cuz i don't have any problems
i hear ya just yesterday in TTT2 i almost lost to a king and Aking team i only just got around his throwing game and just like that i caut up and won. and he said lag win bet he wouldn't say that if he won and the match was smoooooooth i had no problems. then tha guy after him said "I lost to a scrub" XD apparently to them rank is everything.

fell asleep with this on my playlist, and I wake up to this soothing voice of truth. Thanks Aris.
if you don't want to go through all the trouble of learning how to EWGF and wavedash but still want that mishima godliness, pick jinpachi.

RisingJericho I thinking of pairing Jinpachi with Lars also. Two op characters in a team.
Dunno if it was mentioned but pizza throw can be used in juggles, it just transitions into standard air grab.
I main Jinpachi/Kazuya as a Mishima Tag team on Tekken Tag 2 plus he's extremely easy character to use
I would only recommend 1 2 10-frame punish only and ONLY you're 100% SURE it'll hit. Get it blocked and expect a foot to your face... Or an uppercut.
"You're well on your way to pissing people off" gotta love him hahaha

We should make the Emmy awards of Tekken tutorials so that Aris can win them.
1,2 is meant for punishing. But yeah to an extent of vision and hearing there is a window of somewhat hit confirming it.
THE CLAW LMAO
" This movement is fucking good" I love how this guy talks😂

Amazing tutorial, as always! I like how you called a df4 a "panic mid" )))

Didn't Kazuya get Jinpachi's d/f+1+2 in Tekken 7?
How the hell Kazuya is S tier?
His high level of button execution should bring him down to at A tier
if the character has mishima in their name they're s tier
+Omar Deane Only reason Kazuya should NOT be S Tier is his lack of fucking pokes.
Fighting Viking His Execution Makes Up For It, He’s More Of a Defensive Character
Thank you so much dude now I can perform different combos. But I have a question I teamed jinpachi wit unknown and I've made up some good combos but I wanna ask u am I doing it right?
Aris doing a tutorial and it being under 2 hours.... :O
Gonna have to give him a try now, Pachi/Nina Sounds Deadly.
If only you did this before I picked up Feng for my second character xD I still love you though Aris.
Lol, I just started using Jinpachi about a week ago and this comes up :)

the only thing i disapprove in, in terms of Jinpachi is his large hitbox
I really like this character since Tag 2 is the worst game to play online. The sheer rage is damaging so Jinpachi's EZ mode BS makes me feel GOOD.
Jinpachi's u+4 can can be parried by Wang but I don't kno anybody else
"wall" "splat"
implying that theres a wall and a splat-like action involved?
Do a nina tutorial
if jinpachi has 1,1,2 like other mishimas, he'd be so better.
Why not show us that flying stance catching move while the opponent is in the air
its FLY 1+2:2 if I'm not mistaken
I'm glad you picked him up, but I am sad you never play him with Wang :/

Why u never add the music in your description?
Who can I team with jinpachi
Do ancient ogre next
isnt wall splat self explanatory?
Anyone think he has got more potential than ancient ogre and don't bother replying unless you've tried them both I don't know who to use with kazuya
He only does guides of characters he knows really well, I doubt he would do Jin.
It is not even CLOSE to being as good. Mishima 112 is hit-confirmable for like a year to make it failproof. Jinpachis 1,2 is not, you have to do both punches instantly, the second one being -17 on block...

jin can perry everything except low moves
raven can parry everything even low moves
ali fiaz Tho, jin's parry is known as the best parry in the game
ali fiaz Jin parry gives you a free launcher and activates with 1 frame and recover really fast
damn my comment one year ago sucks ! the best parry is Asuka’s parry 😍
Good job
is df2 hopkick punishable?
HECK NO... Unless they crouch can still be launch punishable. But if on block, you're good if you don't mind small punishes.
You can barely punish it with anything. Some players even poke with it. So aggressively
It's -12.
So no, not lauch punishable by anyone. Not even the mighty Kazuya's extremly dificcult on ponit 13f PEWGF can launch it.
But it's a high.
Why don't you play Armor King anymore?
i hear ya just yesterday in TTT2 i almost lost to a king and Aking team i only just got around his throwing game and just like that i caut up and won. and he said lag win bet he wouldn't say that if he won and the match was smoooooooth i had no problems. then tha guy after him said "I lost to a scrub" XD apparently to them rank is everything.
you dont have to be so literal
Every mishima is s tier i guess jin zu and rest a or lower
I don't think kazuya is just cuz his lows suck
Bilal Khan Hellsweep? db4? db3?
How's that relevant?
how the fuck does a human "splat" against a wall?!

how does one splat a human against anything?

You must be pretty scrubby at this game if you think Jinpachi needs anything else. If anything, he needs some toning down, there is no other character that can do such great damage output with so little execution skill required.
