I quite enjoyed this review because it went through the capital ships in such a way to highlight not just each ship's strengths, but also their shortfalls. I find when people are trying to hype up a faction they always describe things in only positive terms, which can end up confusing when you're trying to figure out which ship is more suited for a situation between the one described as 'devastating' and the one described as 'overwhelming'. It would be great if after you've covered the TEC and Vasari (pls?) you did a short overall guide of all 6 factions and how each one compares in terms of strengths and weaknesses over the others!
I have gone TEC my first play through because their ships remind me of the expanse. They smashed in 1vs 1 fighting the other TEC faction. Then I did a map with 2 opponents tryna make a 3 way death match. But they allied with each other making it super hard until I crushed the weaker of the 2. But b4 that I got both my fleets trapped by a jump inhibitor and they all died! It took awhile to recover but I learned from it. 2 for 2 vics but it is on easy but still, it was a bit of a challenge.
Nah but the Skype Titan is returning to get its revenge. (It seems each faction has one fewer capital ship than they did at the end of the previous game's life. I wouldn't be surprised if more get added down the line though.)
@@Th0ughtf0rce Apparently they didn't think they were very well done, and so they want to do it better this time round. Some of the abilities those ships used to have have been redistributed among other things in Sins 2 though.
SINS2 commits the same crime against its setting, albeit not as severe, as Stellaris: Ships keep clipping through each other. Meanwhile in 1999, Homeworld 1 somehow managed to have battles with 500 ships on screen on a 200mhz processor with 64 Megabyte of RAM, so don't tell me it's a performance issue. Modern system have orders of magnitude of memory & processing speed. Sins battles are NOT 100x bigger than HW1 in a 4+ way skirmish. Very dissapointing.
Awesome. Finally getting some youtubers on the sins 2 wagon.
Any rumors on their release?
@@CaptainJY01 August
as an Advent main, ive been waiting to see them in action!
This can't come out soon enough!! Can't wait!

Advent have the best ship designs, I love them
Can you do a guide for every faction ?
I absolutely love the Advent. I play them 99% of the time.
I'm not here to learn to play Advent... I'm here to learn how to defeat them. Know thy enemy! Sun tzu said that.
Hell yeah! Keep these rolling I love it
The Destra Crusaders shoot so freaking slow... They usually get to shoot once, at the beginning of the battle, and once at the end. So painful...

the map looks like titans of cimtar, nice seeing it return
This is not a guide, this is an overview of the faction
Just bought it
Now that the game is out, will you be updating this guide or does it still hold current info for Advent?
What are the planet items called "forges"? The psi forge and the lamamanate forge?
is "very very soon" august? I hope so
great video!
It's already announced for an August 15 release date.
how do you get the old icons? I dont like the new ones
is TEC even worth playing? lol or is there a way to counter Advent and Vasari
I can’t wait for the mods.
No Discord capital ship?

Hopefully an expansion follows soon. It's my favourite of the Advent capital ships.
@@Th0ughtf0rce They won't be re-adding the Discord, but do intend to add new ships and hope to do them better this time round.
@@fluets5658 oh. Why?

der8auer is that you? If not, you have a damn similar voice. But if its you, I didn't know you like SOASE game :)
I'm sorry, but I wasn't listening to you. I was gobsmacked by the amazing battle graphics!
advents have always been trickier to play, but in the Sins 2 i find them a bit underpowered
"Progenator"? It's "Progenitor".
Wish i hadnt bougy on epic. At the time i assumed it wasnt coning yo steam
Stardock is currently giving out steam key to early supporters who bought the game on epic. You should claim it before they stop
I read somewhere you can transfer it to steam for a short time. You may want to look into that.
I reduced the playback speed to 0.75x and you sound normal. Brother slow down your words
I sped up the video while reading two books, fear me. /s

I've completed battles where just my fleet was at or over 10k... as for clipping - that is a dev fail, not a hardware restriction.
No eco tips... pretty bad review for a faction review. Navy maybe.
Bro... please speak more solwly. Your accent makes it hard for people to understand you when you talk that fast.
you can slow vid down slightly and it slows him down
