I couldn’t be prouder to introduce you to “When Facing the Things We Turn Away From”; a project that grew out of a year of enforced stillness. I’m so grateful for the journey this album has taken me on and I’m so thankful to have had this creative outlet during my time at home. Lyrically and sonically, this album has allowed me to decipher the last 10 years of my life and help me make sense of the person I am today and how I got here.
It will be released everywhere August 13. Today, you can hear a first taste of the album; “Starting Line”.

The urgency in his voice when he sings “I think I missed the gun at the starting line” is so good I can’t even describe it. This song is amazing and I can’t wait for the album
i must admit i didn’t like the idea of the 5sos boys doing their own music but it’s definitely given everyone a look of their preferences and ideas. it’s freaking crazyyyyy!! like wow. you never really think about what they’d do on their own but now we know haha! but i just hope 5sos stays together for a good many years to come.

Me too!! And as much as I love the solo music we've been getting so far, a tiny part of me thinks that 5sos are gonna break up because they might like doing solo stuff more. At the same time though, I also want Calum and Michael to release albums too haha.

@@kaylamclaughlin3312 One direction were genuinely friends though, and 5sos have been together for almost a decade. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't be surprised if the solo albums were a way of gently ending the band.
@@mijannepoleon-henry8794 the difference is that one direction were put together and kinda forced to be friends while 5sos met in school and willingly started a band (no hate to one direction) and they are currently working on an album and a tour so idk why they would break up before that also nothing changed when ash released superbloom

there is something so beautiful about him dissapearing over the hill and not being able to see him, it makes you feel like you want to catch up with him and the frustration of not being able to, I think it works well with the song of him trying to remember all the memories and making sense of the "blur" that these past ten years have been. Ese niño que hacía covers y los subía a su canal de UA-cam está por lanzar su primer álbum como solista, después de haber lanzado ya cuatro en su banda. Ese niño lo logró y aún tiene mucho para darle al mundo.
