Laco is a great company. They really did an awesome job with their new and FIRST GMT watch ever! It's the perfect blend of their classic Laco DNA with a modern overall appearance. This piece feels very solid and serious! I bought one when they released it. Really loving it! As Marc said the watch wears very comfortable even on smaller wrists. It's a 43mm watch but it really wears more like a 41mm imho. I also love the details like that the "L" logo on the two crowns locks perfectly facing from up to down (and the other one vice versa). You're also able to set the time zone in half hour increments thanks to the inner rotating bezel. I have only one downside: The enclosed strap changing tool is just a nice show off add on but not a true tool. I broke mine after using it only once. Of course Laco sent me a new one to complete my full set again which was not a big deal. But just to let you know if you buy one... Thanks for showing, Marc! All the Best from Germany, Daniel
Man, that inner bezel looked like it was blue and grey in your video, which is exactly what I was looking for, but the Laco site shows it as black and gray. Still a super cool watch, the grey one might be my next purchase.
Laco are quickly becoming my favourite brand that I don't currently own! Such nice watches coming out of them at the moment! Amazing heritage and don't start me on their fleigers
Loving the Laco! Every time I think I'm positive about what my next watch is going to be you come out with a new video. Dammit, Marc, I can't afford to keep watching!
That is a very appealing watch to me. I would love to own a fleiger, and I also would love to own a GMT! This one is a beauty! Great video as always Mark!!!

Yes, $2000 is too much for me. I realize this watch is worth every penny of what they are asking. If I was still working, I would jump on it. Being on Social Security has changed what is affordable. Cool watch and thorough review!😍
I live about hour from Laco and with the restrictions being lifted here in Germany ... guess where I'm headed this weekend !? Awesome watch, thanks for the great review!
Hello, i know that this is kind of an older video ,but I needed to ask a question about this watch : I have this model, the Frankfurt GMT , with the Sellita 330-2 movement (Elabore) . It is my daily wearer , it comes off my hand for only 2 hours, a day .I have it since 2022. Lately, it began lagging for about 40 minutes or a whole hour until when it stopped during the night while being at my hand (it happened twice in two different days). I know that it has about 40h of autonomy and that it rewinds with the movement of my hand...so, what could be the cause of the stoppage? (It does bother me as i expect no stoppages on it, and now I can't rely on it - not a fan of the watch from my phone)
I bought this watch from you shortly after I saw this video. It hasn't been off my wrist very much since it arrived...it's just one of those watches that connected with me, both in the video and in real life. I can't not look at it.
@@ronvalentine3578 Oh, I'm aware of the price drop! :( Otherwise, yep, I still wear it often. The matte gray case finish is getting a little shiny in high-wear areas, but I don't mind that.
This to me is what a gmt should be like. It's super simple, yet very functional. I don't care for the clunky big dive watches that are gmts. This is more like a pilot watch, what all pilot watches should be like. The only thing I would change is on the 24 section of the bezel, make it the orange that corresponds with the gmt hand. This way at night what you see is in alignment w the 24 hour time zone vs your local time zone. That would be the perfect watch.
I don't recall your mentioning whether or not the watch has a hack function. Also, does the 24 hour hand have what I would term a jump function, for moving the triangle pointer to each of the 24 hour designations, or does it just transition slowly from one hour designation on the rotatable inner bezelto the next ? Thanks very much, Bruce Miller
Its a neat watch but I don't know If I would pick this over one of their classic time only fliegers. I love how minimalistic they are and this watch has a lot going on, some people might be into that thought. Def looks attractive and well made, if I already owned a Laco watch this might be something id consider picking up.
Good looking watch! Just a suggestion, I would include a full pic of the caseback on your website. The one you have is at an artsy angle, but the customer can't really see it. Of course, this is for those that aren't watching your videos.
MInor question the GMT bezel have an indexing at the top so two triangle aline perfectly or up to user to get it right? I'm personally not a GMT person but this one pretty handsome set up.
Wish I could nail down what makes me buy a specific watch, but I was on LongIslandWatch.com buying this thing before the video was over. Exactly the same thing happened with the Squalematic 600 meter Professional.
Pretty nice watch. Donts: a price. I think that for that price you can buy something Swiss and much reputable. It is a TW Steel class watch or Shinola. It is worth between 200$ and 500$. Anyway presentation was great 👍 as usual
I've been looking for a GMT for a while and I would love this piece, however it is not a true GMT, which is a dealbreaker for me. I need the quickset hour/minute hands not the GMT hand which is not what the ETA 2893-2 does. There are so few True GMT reasonably priced Auto watches out there. However this is a great Office GMT for those that don't travel regularly. Give a true GMT a go Mark.
@@GritHero I think the newer Mido Multifort Dual time is the only affordable True GMT Auto that I know of. Mido is a mid range brand of the Swatch empire and they obviously have a lot of resources to call on. I don't particularly like it's looks, the best looking GMT's I've seen have the ETA 2893-2 movement, which is not a true GMT movement unfortunately. Most quartz watches are true GMT's of course, just so hard in the Auto world to get one that won't break the bank.(Rolex/Omega)
The idea is great. But it's way too busy in my opinion. Pointer at 12 and bezel, 2-tone bezel, pointer at 12, date at 6 and arabic numerals at 3 and 9. Just ditch the date and use 6 instead and 1-tone bezel for better symmetry.

Love LACO but personally I don’t like the two crowns side by side. The aesthetics are not visually pleasing , reminds me of two horns. The rest is good , specs are great and price is not bad for what you get. Shame about the overall. design , but that’s just me, others may like it. In my opinion a more practical and classical approach is a turning GMT bezel in two colours , there is no need for an internal bezel and a second crown . Plus the glass and outer ring of the watch are more exposed, less protected and more prone to “dings “ and scratches. Their designers need to do better.
I was considering this but changed it to the Ocean model. I have a “short list of watches to get” and there’s no fewer than three Lacos on it...and I already own two; the Aachen and Dortmund. The three are the Bremerhaven, Ocean (Grey, 100ATM, Top grade), and the Westerland. Laco, Hanhart, and Stowa are my top three favourite watch makers. Love them all. I have a Hanhart Pioneer MK I and two Stowa Marine models (classic Roman and the same again with small seconds and silver dial) on that same list. ;) I have another list, a long term list with only a few watches on it...I don’t care much whether I get them or not.
I get that fliegers use a triangle at '12'. And I appreciate the symmetry that a date at '6' offers. But only having the resultant '3' and a '9' looks somewhat odd to me. I'd have preferred all batons or a no-date version with a '6' on the dial. Oh well... Laco makes a killer watch. Aesthetics aside, there's no doubt it's extraordinarily well-crafted.
That’s good to hear. Do you think watches will ever go back to the majority being 36-40mm? Great to see you listened to your audience who were asking for a 38mm Islander!
