2020 has been really life changing for a lot of people, but as well as the media literacy rate of Filipinos. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority 94 out of 100 Filipinos are Basic Literate. This is the ability to read, write, speak, and convey message. According to United Nations we have the highest literacy rate among other South East Asian Country. Media Literacy pertains to the competence of a person to understand the message from the media. Medias such as news from television, rants on facebook, or even a tweet! If you are watching this and understand it, Yes! you are media literate and it also means that you should beware of false news and internet trolls who are growing population each especially now at time of infodemic.
