MISINFORMATION VS. DISINFORMATION
Media and Information has existed for over the decades, this is undergone by different generation and inovation. From reading news paper, watching televisions and the usage of computers even the internet .
In conducting study, it shows 59% of links on social media aren’t being clicked. Netizens tends to read the headline and automatically share the link without actually reading the full article which can mislead more people.
So we make distinction now between misinformation and disinformation, the common between them is the information inside is incorrect, not factual , and not accurate. Sometimes there are mistakes that are made in the reportage of media.
The difference between misinformation and disinformation,
In many ways misinformation is organic, its spreads, its natural people will disbelieve some things and that happens while disinformation is orchestrated it funded , it’s planned.
In politics its run by professionals , its run by heads of, you know prominent PR people in advertising and campaign staff and organized volunteers in political campaigns.
