Psalm 45 is a challenging Psalm. The book of Hebrews does not use the entire Psalm to describe Jesus, as the Son of God; however, Psalm 45 verses 6-7 certainly give more evidence into how Jesus is the Son of God within Yahweh Elohim, which is the second name of God in the Hebrew that is used in Genesis chapters 2 and 3 in relation to the creation of the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve. Deuteronomy chapter 17 talks about a human king of Israel that the people can want to lead them, as the Bible says, "He must be from among your fellow Israelites. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not an Israelite." -- (Deuteronomy 17:15). Jesus, as a descendant of King David and by Davidic Covenant, while also being "El Gabbor" which means mighty God in Hebrew as described about the Messianic King of Israel from the direct lineage of David by the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 9:6). One possibility that Psalm 45 might be referring about is the completion of the Bible in relation to the order of Israel that God wrote in the Bible. God the Father as King of Israel in heaven above; then Jesus, as the Son of God, who was victorious in obeying God the Father's will in perfect obedience rather than His own will, as the Bible says, "Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek." -- (Hebrews 5:8-10). Melchizedek also means "King of Righteousness" in Hebrew (Hebrews 7:2). Jesus never is able to sin; at the same time, He can do His own will, and He received the baptism from John the Baptist in order that "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." -- (John 3:15). In fulfilling all righteousness, that means doing everything the right way, which all leads to the conclusion in which Paul writes, "Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all." -- (1 Corinthians 15:24-28). Jesus, is both God and God the Father's representative, as Jesus said, "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father....Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work." -- (John 14:9-10). Besides Psalm 45 verses 6-7, the rest of Psalm 45 could be about the perfect fulfillment of the human king of Israel, who is the "most excellent of men" (Psalm 45:2), and for whom Jesus says, "To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne." -- (Revelation 3:21). As the Bible also says, "Do you not know that In a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run is such a way as to get the prize." -- (1 Corinthians 9:24). Finally, as Jesus said, "You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father." -- (Matthew 20:23).
