- The Bicycle gear hub Speedhub 500/14, has remained the main product of the Rohloff AG for since its introduction over 10 years ago. In this film we wish to give you an insight into the production process of this unique cycle component. The SPEEDHUB 500/14 was designed for use by both Professionals and leisure cyclists and offers the user 14 real speeds which creates a gear range to cope with all riding conditions.
My first Rohloff was installed on Delite Riese und Muller and and every spin and shift is a joy ,few years later I have purchased same company Birdy folding bike and couldn't ride without Rohloff. I have ordered from Anja Wrede and the folder runs awesome too. In my long life I had many types of equipment but Rohloff is the King

This is an AWESOME video. I had to take apart my Rohloff hub after my rim fell apart (brake wear, made rim wall too thin) and part of it got caught up in the gap between the sprocket and hub. So I thought OK, how hard can this be? Like I have a nice diagram of how it all fits together.... Well, it is TRICKY getting it back together....like getting the spring loaded palls in right. And you have to syn the gears on some of the races....that is not straightforward..... Anyways, did it, and the little beastie runs great again.
But I had to watch this assembly video lots to catch some of the little ways that things get put together.

It is much simpler to use Vedeneev's Variator gear set. It is CVT with fantastic properties, ideal for bikes

Wow, never thought i'd call a German accent sexy, but the voiceover lady is great.
Maybe one day it will replace the derailleur now that may higher end mountain bikes are going to a 1x system. Weight will be an issue, though.

You are comparing the cheapest car items to the most expensive bicycle items, both of which are intended for different demographics. You should compare the cost of expensive bicycles to expensive cars, such as the Veyron, Enzo, Etc.
I have a friend who thinks my expensive bicycle are silly because he "could by a motorcycle for that much", and then i point out to him that yes that is true, however i would have a world class bicycle, and he would have a shitty piece of a motorcycle.

Olá bom dia pessoa da Rohloff.
Estou tentando comprar um Rohloff aqui no Brasil, aqui tem uma grande dificuldade pois não tem vendas no país. Tem um site chamado teutobike que se diz ser um representante do rolo no Brasil, estou em contato com eles já mandei foto da minha bicicleta e estão em análise segundo eles. Por conta do meu freio a disco ou seja adaptações, aqui no Brasil ele sai muito caro mais de R$5000 reais.
Vocês não teriam uma forma em que eu mande as fotos da minha bike pra que vocês me de uma resposta final se eu devo comprar-lo ou não? Ou que esteja disponível algum tipo de adaptações por pra minha bicicleta? Aguardo contato de vocês muito obrigado parabéns.
