In fact, monster among men, meet you there and Babylon are part of the deluxe album, and that’s why is hard to move on from ghost of you, cause it mean to be a closing track hahaha
I‘m a simple girl i see 5sos, i click. Yeah they actually have their 10 year anniversary at the end of this year! Please do more (see what I did there) of these!
luke sings most of the songs and the others do harmonies, but here are the songs where the others got solos: calum on talk fast, valentine, moving along, empty wallets, ghost of you and most of babylon michael on valentine, empty wallets ash on moving along, if walls could talk (i’m sorry if i forgot any, it’s 1am lmao)
Fun fact because I saw you notice it, in Moving Along, during the drums right after the bridge, Ashton drops his stick. It clacks and he says Uh Oh. It's hilarious that they left it in the album and shows how hard Ashton was going at it. Lol
@@noshamezzy281 ofc hahah it’s more of a joke in the fandom as they called themselves punk rock back then but they definitely weren’t all time low is amazing too btw
YOU NEED LISTEN THEIR LIVE ALBUNS AND SOUNDS GOOD FEELS GOOD U NEED, sgfg is one of the fans' favorite albums for all the emotional load, but it is also a more rock album, and has amazing songs like jet black heart and outer space / carry on, which are amazing songs live
yesss, ive been waiting for this but the cocktail chats is a great way to get to know them, they also did a apple music documentary for this album which is great too. :)
You should wait with the documentary until you have listen to the other 2 albums. Because the documentary came out in late 2015 I think and at that time they had only done the 2 first albums. Though you should do it after you have listen to those albums. But if you want to see their personalities you should see cocktail chats were they talk about the album Youngblood and have fun.....you can say🍻🥂 it gets crazier every episode😂
One of my all time favorite albums! It’s so beautiful, amazing, it’s to level! The music, the sounds that are weaved through out, just one of the best!
hold off on the documentary until you've listened to all the albums bc it was filmed while they were making sgfg. they did a shorter one with apple music called on the record which was about the making of the youngblood album!
watching cocktail chats is the best way to dive into this album and their personality. they have fun and they talk about how they wrote this songs and something about lyrical content. I really recommend those videos!!! Also, love the fact that you’re appreciating their music, they’re so underrated as a band...
most of the album is about a push and pull toxic relationship (youngblood, want you back, lie to me, moving along, why won't you love me, and ghost of you). luckily that relationship is in the past but it had a large part in this amazing album.
This actually made me so happy. I'm really glad that you are loving 5sos and their music. They definitely deserve the recognition. And the way you interpret the songs is really interesting and makes me appreciate their hard work even more. Great video 🥰☺️☺️
Yes, yes, yes, Youngblood is my favourite 5sos album! Thank you for this reaction! A little help: actually, Luke sings most of the songs, Calum, Michael and Ashton are usually the backround vocalists. But there are exeptions. Valentine: first verse is Calum, second verse is Michael Talk Fast: second verse, post chorus and outro is Calum Moving Along: first verse is Calum, in the bridge, the lower tone is Ashton, the outro is Michael (also, those drums and bass?? like.. excuse me??) If Walls Could Talk: the high vocals in the chorus is Ashton, second verse is Calum More: second verse and pre-chorus is Calum (that guitar... that guitar... THAT GUITAR!!!) Why Won't You Love Me: first part of the second verse is Calum, second part is Michael, the third part are both Empty Wallets: second verse is Calum, bridge is Michael Ghost Of You: second verse and bridge is Calum (the song that always makes me cry, btw...) Deluxe Tracks: Monster Among Men: first verse is Michael (yes, there's a tempo change... and a sick guitar solo...) Meet You There: bridge is Michael Babylon: all Calum Youngblood is an unpredictable album, with unpredictable songs and sounds. It's heavy, and it's soft, it has incredible lyrics, harmonies, melodies, vocals... it's pure perfection. Also, I don't know whose idea was to put Ghost Of You to the end of the normal album, but it's both genious and evil. Like you said: how are we supposed to move on after that song? So proud of the guys, for making Youngblood and Calm!
OKAY. I saw your face during the bridge of Moving Along - that's Ashton singing and he's basically secretly a BEAST and the 5SOSFAM absolutely LIVES for those precious moments when he sings a solo because it's pretty rare but he's a really gifted vocalist as well as a killer drummer and songwriter. So. If you love his voice, you gotta take an aside from 5SOS and listen to his made-in-quarantine solo album Superbloom. It is *exquisite*.
i love this reaction !!!! i would recommend you watch their documentary after you’ve listened to the their first two albums first because the doc does show some concert footage of songs you haven’t heard yet so. in case you don’t want to hear some songs you haven’t listened to yet in that way lol
see THIS is why you're one of my absolute favorite reactors. you really FEEL the music and express exactly what you like (and dislike) about the songs on the album, and you actually focus on the lyrics unlike a lot of reactors. thank you for being so genuine and transparent with your reactions, i love you ❤️
Highly recommended the Meet You There live album. Mix of old and new and the live components is fantastic! The Youngblood album is where I came in as a fan but I've been obsessed ever since.
beveraggi you NEED to react meet you there tour live (this album's tour) i swear to god it's their BEST. so much fan upload the full version of tour on youtube if you interrest.
Youngblood is actually the first ever album from any artist on which I liked all the songs after the first listen! Sometimes songs have to grow on me but it wasn’t the case with youngblood
Thanks to 5SOSUpdates for hyping this video! I just watched all your 5SOS reactions, you're so great and I love how you break down the music in your own way. A little sidebar, since you loved Luke's voice so much on CALM, especially the falsettos, I think you should check out The Vamps 'Cherry Blossom' album if you haven't heard their stuff (reaction up to you). It's great and the lead vocalist is similarly talented to Luke. Just feel like you'd enjoy their music and it gives you another rabbit hole to fall down with the rest of us 😊
Dude... you make me want to go to a concert with you and then discuss everything about it afterward with the way you absorb everything about the music. Love your videos, your look, your attitude - awesome content!!! 💕
Also, as promised: I'd LOVE to hear you cover Want You Back, Lie to Me, Babylon, and/or Ghost of You!!! They're heartbreaking but gorgeous and major fan favorites out of their whole discography. Also, the acoustic version of Lie to Me is next level and has an official video, so I'd highly recommend you react to that! They wrote that song with Julia Michaels and recorded a duet version of it with her that's really gorgeous so you could look at that too. It's one of their best songs EVER and is the track that really got me hooked on them.
This was amazing, LOVED your reaction. This is my alltime favorite album, I adore it, there’s not a skip and not a day I don’t listen to it. Thank you for this reaction
for like two years i couldn’t even bring myself to even bear the opening cords of ghost of you shit would cause a visceral reaction i can’t express how good that song is
Haven't seen your channel before this but I loved this reaction. New subscriber right here. I'm off to watch your CALM video too. I love both these albums and love hearing peoples thoughts on them!
I discovered 5sos the same order from you, was so amazed from calm then going back to their past albums guilty for missing them out for some reason lol. Youngblood and SGFG were may fav album of all time and I was not there during its release
Loved your reaction!!! i recomend to wait for the documentary cause it's more about the firsts albums so listen to those before watching it. You can check out the cocktail chats, those are about to the writing of this album and you can see their personalities. And omg their live performances are insane so i can't wait for you to react to more of them, please check out castaway live at rock in rio or the z sessions cause there you can see them all singing
genius lyrics website is a great way to learn to tell their voices apart, since it puts who is singing each verse/line... also! when you listen to their album "sounds good, feels good", i recommend paying attention to invisible and jet black heart to learn more about their voices!! invisible is mainly calum singing and jet black heart is mainly michael... ashton also put out a solo album (superbloom) that i highly recommend checking out to learn more about his voice (and also just bc he's insanely talented)... he doesnt get many solos in 5sos songs bc he never thought he was a good singer and didnt feel confident enough so a solo album is such huge growth for him :)
the “cocktail chats” on their channel breakdown all of the songs on this album! well kinda because they’re all drunk while doing the breakdowns but it adds to it lmfaoooooo
Omg, you that you are so attentive to the lyrics and metaphors in them, you should really listen to *Sounds Good Feels Good! But have the lyrics up* for that one. It is a much “heavier” sound, in general, more pop-punk, so many times the lyrics are ignored, but they are GREAT. You seem to have such a similar mindset to mine in terms of this stuff, and that one is my favorite album, so if you feel like it, give it a go!
I subscribed on UA-cam and Patreon because of your Taylor Swift reactions but now you are helping me discover other artists. I’m a little embarrassed that as an Australian I had not taken the time to listen to these guys. Really good. You compared them to Maroon 5 - it’s probably a little late to do a reaction to Songs about Jane but that would be so good. Are you familiar with Savage Garden? I’d love to see what you think of their first album.
idk if you've seen it but olivia rodrigo did another live performance of drivers licence w the grammy museum or smthn idrk but it was really good. love your videos btw!
if you're a fan of harmonies i highly recommend watching their covers (like "the middle" "no roots" "killer queen" etc) some time, they have some amazing harmonies sung by all 4 of them together. the cocktail chats are a great introduction to their personalities, they explain the youngblood album while getting drunk, so i definitely recommend checking these out. (for a more pop punk type of sound go for the sounds good feels good album, guitarist michael sings in a lot of the songs on that one)
Youngblood, YES!! I love this album so DAMN much like OH MY GOD!! The documentary "How did we end up Here" has a live concert and is between the 1st and 2nd album so please listen to those albums first. The apple docu "On The Record" is probably a good shot because it's a behind the scenes of this album. When you don't know who is doing the backing vocals, 99% of the time it's Calum (he's the one who sung all of Wildflower). I don't know why but the bass in Want You Back makes me want to cry! Your reaction to Lie to Me, OMG! Please watch the acoustic version on their channel! Same for Want You Back, acoustic version on their channel! Valentine is meant to be the ultimate valentine's day song! It's funny because it is a bit creepy! Talk Fast is very 80s Pop and I love it! The guitar is so damn beautiful, Michael is a BEAST! Same goes for Moving Along, like damn that bass (and those drums, everyone had the same reaction, don't worry haha)! "We'd fall from grace" in If Walls could Talk is Ashton by the way! You'll find out they did more "traditional" love songs on their earlier albums! The grungy guitar in More, OH GOD! I start crying during the first chorus, then Calum comes in in the second verse and I'm dead: Ghost of You is one of if not my favorite love songs by them, so damn beautiful, heartbreaking and emotional! And live, HOLY SHIT! I cry every single time. If you listen to the live album, it's called Meet You There Live", you're gonna die for sure! Meet You There is all over the place with so much organic sounds, I love it! Babylon, one of my favorite songs EVER and the best closer to an album EVER! Calum, my KING! Sometimes I just listen to this song on replay all day long because I never want this song to end. You honestly NEED to listen to the deluxe album otherwise you never recover from Ghost Of You (the Luke and Calum duet just kills you). "I need to see them live" MOOD Also, LUKE'S VOCALS, am I right?!
I think it's important to note that all four of them write songs for the album and so not all the lyrics refer to the same relationship. Admitedly fans think most of the lyrics depicting a toxic relationship refer to Luke's pervious relationship from what we know of it and what the boys have talked about, but some of the other songs and lyrics refer to the others' relationships.
lie to me is actually about a really toxic relationship luke was in (he’s happy w our queen sierra now) so it’s pretty emotional
In fact, monster among men, meet you there and Babylon are part of the deluxe album, and that’s why is hard to move on from ghost of you, cause it mean to be a closing track hahaha
the album actually ends after ghost of you, they knew we couldn’t move on hahah. the others are deluxe tracks
you should react to their cocktail chats series where they talk about the writing process of the album and you get to see more of their personalities!
He should
Yessss
If you want to get to know the boys more you should really do their documentary, carpool karabloke and cocktail chats🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Yesssss. I totally agree

one of my favorites ever, i am with you!
I will put it on repeat and let it go for as long as I need it to. I live for it live.
he is talking about how good will be empty wallets live.. and here 5sos doesn't add empty wallets on setlist thank you very much..
yess they can do everything, wait till you listen to the first two albums, they’re full on punk rock
No 5sos is not punk rock, even All Time Low is not punk rock, they are pop punk and pop rock 👍🏼

they also did a couple bbc 1 covers which would be great t get to know their voices :)
Youngblood live was the last concert I saw before lock down and shit this is bringing me back
I got ticket for the new tour and now I'm so sad

I can't wait for when he knows who is who and can decipher who is singing so he can fangirl with all of us

Yes, yes, yes, Youngblood is my favourite 5sos album! Thank you for this reaction!
A little help: actually, Luke sings most of the songs, Calum, Michael and Ashton are usually the backround vocalists. But there are exeptions.
Valentine: first verse is Calum, second verse is Michael
Talk Fast: second verse, post chorus and outro is Calum
Moving Along: first verse is Calum, in the bridge, the lower tone is Ashton, the outro is Michael (also, those drums and bass?? like.. excuse me??)
If Walls Could Talk: the high vocals in the chorus is Ashton, second verse is Calum
More: second verse and pre-chorus is Calum (that guitar... that guitar... THAT GUITAR!!!)
Why Won't You Love Me: first part of the second verse is Calum, second part is Michael, the third part are both

your reaction to ghost of you. so relatable.
OKAY.
"I need to see them live" MOOD
Also, LUKE'S VOCALS, am I right?!
calum wrote and sing Babylon and a lot of fans are thinking it should have been a single instead of want you back
I think it's important to note that all four of them write songs for the album and so not all the lyrics refer to the same relationship. Admitedly fans think most of the lyrics depicting a toxic relationship refer to Luke's pervious relationship from what we know of it and what the boys have talked about, but some of the other songs and lyrics refer to the others' relationships.
