This version of Sweet Sixteen is my favourite live Iggy video and remember watching it on The Tube all those years ago. Where have those 40 years gone! Great band backing him as well. Thanks
This is the way that the Zombie Birdhouse album's tracks were meant to be played...this is almost the precursor of the super heavy guitar driven electronic/industrial hybrid that would eventually be everywhere in ten years. And, Larry Mysliwiec is a very talented and powerful drummer...I actually prefer his playing with this band and their arrangements/sound. Iggy is also REALLY vibing off of his playing!
Hey Doug, I really appreciate that comment. Lol. I am Larry M!! And yes, I studied martial arts and lifted weights to increase my power and stamina, which enabled me to keep up with his super high energy.
;-) ... 👏👏👏Excellent, A true testament of his legend in this performance. His energy n brilliance still shines brighter than ever n will last 4 ever. I caught him performing on David Letterman back in `82 on the "Late Night Show". He rocked the crowd n sat down afterward n chatted with :David after singing "Eat or Eaten" :)) I had a few calls the following :Day from friends, whom had also watched n witness the show n they were stunned, awed n amazed ⭐🌟🌈 His musical impact made life better for all for whom followed him. A Rock pioneer n genius n a Real c:ool guy. Thanx Jim for sharing your talent❤💯,000,000,000 %🤟🖖
Absolutely brilliant 🤘🤘🤘what a performer😎😎. What an event. He tore the place apart. Especially impressive considering what life was like for him at the time. Show us your willy Jimmy👏👏👏👏👏. Raw power never ages💕
Awww Come On Kids----this should have 100 million likes as well as the San Francisco concert from 81, the Manchester show from 77, Cleveland 77, and, and, "The Greatest Of All Time"---get with it.
Thanks for uploading..possibly the best performance on the Tube..I think this was very much a quick visit to the UK ...playing just a couple of gigs at the Venue ,London .... & going into what seemed a retirement the following year... but returned with with a rather duff lp ('Blah..') & some 'professional performances( i.e. Not that exciting at Brixton & a return to the Tube) ... i think 'Zombie Birdhouse' lp released with the help of Blondie isn't bad actually .
@Art Kinsman Music that's Blondie guitarist Frankie Infante, Mike Page on bass from Chubby Checker, NY Dolls and others, Rob Duprey from the Mumps, and me on drums.
Oh, HELL yeah! LOVE Zombie Birdhouse!
He looks exactly the same now as he did then. I honestly don't know how he's still alive. He's a living legend.
Now THAT’S rock n roll! Always at peak never a bore ! ❤️ U Iggy!
Iggy Pop, showing punks how it's done.

Thank you. We had a great time performing that night.
Thank you! This is a great era for the band, pity there is not more video in circulation from this time
@TravisBickle1963 there is an entire show from Toronto in 82 and a few others. The quality is not very good on them. Shot by someone in the crowd.
Yes I'm sure Iggy was inspired by the thunderous row you and the rest of the guys produced. Great stuff
@@manasbose8817 thank you.

Frank infante there
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
He really influenced the singer of the Cramps, I think
..sorry about Vietnam, Travis.
It was tough for a lot of folk.
@@TravisBickle1963 I guess, like the Vietnamese.
How much speed did that drummer take backstage?
Does anybody know if Michael Page is still alive ?
Why the fuck was no one dancing !@
Imagine if Jimmy was seven feet taLL . . .
is that james williamson?
Frank Infante from Blondie and Ron Duprey I believe. Skafish drummer Larry Mysilewicz destroying on the kit.

@@larrymysliwiec6301 Is this the lineup that toured australia 1983?
@nikons yes. We started and ended with this same lineup from the Fall of 82 and through 83, finishing in Australia.
@@larrymysliwiec6301 I was at several Sydney shows. Great memories!
