Learn a new technique to me…maybe it’s new to you too!❤️ Polymer Clay Faux Crackle Ceramic “Clayboutique” “Ana Belchi” Cleaning the Pasta Machine in less than 5 minutes
Love this video. Will have to try this technique. Also, thank you for the tip regarding cleaning the pasta maker. I'm completely new to this craft and bought a used maker and want sure what to do. I watched the original video you suggested and now not only is it clean, I also removed the useless frames. Many many thanks!
❤️Hi Sandy! You are welcome and thanks so much for your kind words of encouragement!! I am in the middle of making a clay video right now! Look for it later today! Don’t you just love playing with clay?! So fun!!
I love your work! You have such a great eye.. even your tester ornament is cute. I think the method could be used to make cabochons… I imagine some different colors of resin in the spaces beads in some spaces.. have a look at the resin technique that clay boutique uses on her backs. You might be Abe to put your ownnspin on it! Thank you for being such an inspiration!!❤️❤️❤️❤️🌷🌷🌷🌷
Thank you so much. Yes! I follow Clayboutique! Love the glitter in the resin and have been wanting to try it! She does beautiful work!! Thanks for your words of encouragement! Hugs❤️
It’s a very pretty result :) if I may make a suggestion about your choice of clay? If you’re making things just for yourself, Sculpey 3 is fine but if you’re looking to give pieces away or sell them, then Premo or Kato would be the best clay to use. Sculpey 3 will become brittle once baked… it is not recommended for anything that requires a lot of handling or movement. Even if it doesn’t break within a few months, it will break within time. Hope that helps :)
I'm not a huge fan of sculpey 3 but I inherited a huge batch of the white. My main problem with it is that it's not a bright white, it is somewhat grayish. But it does not become brittle once baked at the right temperature for the right amount of time. I invite everybody who reads this to try it themselves.
I love your work. Can I use air dry clay? If I can can I use crackle paint the glass stain translucent, and resin? And use the UV light on air dry clay without baking?
❤Hi and thank you for watching! Several years ago, I ordered some copper cookie cutters (Star of David included) from a couple who worked out of their home. Since that time, they closed their business, as the husband, who did the bending of the copper, could no longer do it. They were elderly. So, I can’t give you their info, but I would imagine that you could find someone on Etsy etc that could make one for you. I’m sorry….I know how it is when you see something you’d like to have and can’t get it. I hope you can find others to help you out. Also the rubber flower stamps that I used on the clay in this video were purchased several years ago at Michael’s craft store. I hope that is helpful in some way. God bless you and enjoy playing with your clay!!
A.R. Thank you! I believe I bought the stamp at Michaels and I just took it off the wooden block. I also cut it and took the part that I really liked and used that piece. So, sorry…..probably doesn’t help you much.
I just realized you may have meant the larger flower stamp. I bought that at Michaels too. I took that one off the wooden block as well but nothing was cut off….that is the way it came. Very, very pretty stamp!
Thank you!❤️ I don’t have a link, as I bought them at Michaels and they came on wood. I peeled them off their wooden blocks! Look for rubber stamps that have nice depth to them. It helps when you imprint on clay.
I know this is an old tutorial, but a tip for the crackle paint is, the thicker the crackle paint, the bigger the cracks will be. The thinner the crackle paint, the smaller the cracks. 😊
Thanks for sharing this video, a great idea, but i see that this crackle stuff is quite expensive, the price went up recently, so is there a way to make this at home, does anyone know of anyone here on (youtube) hat shows how to make the crackle?
A little of the crackle goes a very long way. It’s worth the money, if you want to make several pieces that have crackle. I have not heard of a homemade version of it.
Hey there….thank you for showing me/us how to do the crackle technique! So fun! I put the name of your channel in my description, as you may have noticed! God bless you!❤️
There seems to be a few glitches, as this video plays. Not sure why but please just forward a little and it will be okay. Need to figure out why that happened….hmmmmm.
Thank you for sharing...more grist for my mill ...I am excited to get experimenting and widen my repertoire of techniques.
So pretty.
❤I really love this design its natural if that makes any sense. Thank you. Im giving it a go.
I think this technique is great, so pretty!!!!
Did I hear you say you're in Kansas? Me, too. I love this technique. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, we live in Olathe, KS. We are originally from South Dakota where we spent most of our lives. Thank you for watching my video!❤️

Thank you for watching. I appreciate your kind words. I mostly use and prefer Premo clay. I don’t sell anything but rather give it away.

Can you mix the Sculpey 3 with Primo make it more durable?
Yes.
You can also back it with something else.
That is beautiful Joannie! I love it when I can use paint and other stuff..I love dirty hands 😂🤪
Ha! Well, you’ll love this then, Marleen!!❤️

Hi its lovely. Where can I get that stamp to purchase?
Thank you. ❤️. I’m sorry but bought the stamps many years ago so am not sure. However, I buy most of my stamps at Michael’s - so, perhaps try there.

Sculpy 3 breaks easy, I never use it
Depends on the thickness of your piece. Have a blessed day❤️
I don't see the crackles. I think my eyes are really terrible. I need reading glasses. I see it, I see it. Lol.
When Sculpey 3 gets too gooey I put it in the fridge for a few minutes.
Good idea!❤️ Thanks!
@@grannyjclay-joannieholdhus925 not too long. Just long enough to get non-gooey. If it's too long the clay will get brittle. Ask me how I know.
Did I miss the baking instructions?
I bake all my clay pieces at 275 degrees for an hour. The clay has a bake time on the package but I bake longer. Enjoy!❤️
You really aren't supposed to keep going over it. You should paint it on and leave it.
