Its been twelve years now since the release of TWISTED METAL 2012, THE LAST TWISTED METAL GAME EVER RELEASED, and its still very challenging even in 2024!
I was speaking about all Twisted Metal games. The first game came out in 1995 so yeah it has been a generation since the franchise came out. I'm not just talking about PS3.
The first PS game I ever played was TM1. I paid 50 cents at the video game store by my house to play it for 30 minutes. I was just 10 years old and completely blown away. I asked for a PS1 with TM1 that Christmas.
I remember this game. It looked so cool and I wanted to like it so bad. They messed with the control layout which made things confusing. The difficulty was insane as well.
Difficulty can be good, and I bet they made the game for people who were already fans of the series hence the difficulty cause we weren't all kids anymore,,, Difficult games have been proven to be more and more popular , God of war hardest mode, Any fromsoft game, new star wars , even indie games have been really popular like those jump up games and games that really punish you for making a mistake ,, Even last of us js hard for a lot of people, idk I could write 10 pages about difficulty in games becoming more and more popular , tbjd game was ahead of its time in that regard

It's been rumored for a while now another twisted metal game is in development. The show is probably their way too build interest in twisted metal before the game launches. PS3 twisted metal didn't sell very well.
@@ooooswain I guess The Twisted Metal PS3 has a lot of things that aren't that Good, but I love the Gameplay overall, the vehicle's Specials are satisfying to use, Weapons are also satisfying to use, especially the Sniper Rifle, Swamer Missle, and the Shotgun. I can agree on you, Twisted Metal didn't sell well, but the only thing I find Great in this game is the Gameplay.

It would be cool if they made a new version of this. Maybe not a $70 game, I don't know if they can or need to make it big enough to be a full AAA price game. I feel like it would make more sense to make it like a $40 simple fun modern version of the originals. If they wanted to make it an AAA PS5 game it would need to be massive, and have so many new features and game modes.

I watch one video where it shows me how to set it but I ended up with a black screen on my tv and in obs studio. I did change it up where I got the screen to come on the tv but it was blank on obs studio.
Goes to show how shit the marketing was for this game and this is a franchise that should be up there with the likes of cod and fortnite. Thing is it still can. Ip holders need to understand the gold they have. I'm a Xbox main but tm would heavily make me consider buying a PS5. It's that great of a franchise.

@@alexm2889 I play twisted metal black a lot and I gotta tell ya the bots in this game are complete maniacs, and I’m talking about not even the hardest difficulty. They’re giving you hell even on the easiest one. The are even a few cars such as Outlaw or Roadkill for instance that would specifically target and chase you. Though I’m not complaining, love this game a lot and planning to get my hands on twisted metal 2012. Wonder how difficult this game is

The game that could have been great but wasn’t 😢 I remember pre ordering this only to be dissappointed. Nice graphics and gameplay was cool but it felt nothing like Twisted Metal. Also the roster was lacking, vehicles felt dull, story could have been better… it had so much potential.
I've had to get a replacement PS3 console and the game seems to reject copied save data from my other. I've also tried downloading game data from sites, and the game still shows 0%. Fuck this game, I'm getting rid of it-I don't like the racing arenas, and don't want to beat the IM again.

My favorite ever twisted metal is TM3 its just my personal favorite however i have yet to play this one on ps3 im sure it will be lovely!
