When I first heard Color White, I had little to no understanding of what the lyrics meant.(Urdu/Hindi isn't my native language). But, there was this force that drew me to listen to it over and over again, because somewhere in me I heard a voice saying - "This song is about you, this one is for you, free yourself my child". I had tears in my eyes when I heard this song for the first time, and since then - my day doesn't begin without me saying "Alexa, play Color White" and brewing my Tea looking through the morning sun rise from my window contemplating on life, mathematics and nature. Only recently, I checked out the translation and turns out, it was indeed about me - fighting against my own ego. This is one of the most unique experiences I have ever had with a band, after Pink Floyd. Thank you, Parvaaz. Thank you so much.
I understand what you want to convey. I recently heard this song.. don't know how it came to me.. but after listening I read lyrics.. and then.. I heard it countless no of time... 😇
I m a vocalist myself of a band called fiddlecraft and even after writing 200 songs i feel myself lucky to take birth in this era, i could here you parwaaz. This Song rings in my head every morning. I hope someday we will cross paths. Till then khuda hafiz!!!
the lyrics is so touching and the last visual so haunting when the two tracks dont meet each other...the tracks that will eventually be buried by more snow ...a whitewash of the struggles... the desolation and the feeling of being lonely in pain echoes in sound and in sight...its poetry
'At times the heart is a powerful Shaman And yet so helpless?' Every great artist is essentially a great poet. You guys have earned some serious respect.
Best kashmiri vocalist among the contemporaries who has a wide range and array of Sufi, kashmiri and Urdu understanding and dialect to pitch it beyond perfection
yeah man ... true , after katiya karun from rockstar, I was thinking why doesnt somebody make something like that using the snow. These guys have shot the snow beautifully.
This song really captures the strange essence you feel when you are 'bechain'.The feeling of missing something you never had in first place. Its music composition vibes are like that. And ofcourse the voice of the singer is scintillating
After 1 minutes 55 seconds this song lends its magic carpet to the listener and anybody who's ever been to a hill will know what it feels like to be ushered into a world of nature and its undisguised beauty. And then.. आज तो मुरीद फिर नाराज़ है होश बेख़बर पर बेबाक है सोहबत जहां फनकार यूँ मुझको यूँ मलाल तो फिर हुआ क्यूँ?
The best Indian band I've every heard live, hands down. Rock in English in India makes zero sense, the language and music vibe together, music alone cannot do justice to the beauty of a song as a whole. Indians can understand and speak English better than a lot of other nations, but our culture and our day-to-day can never be conveyed with the complete sense in corresponding English words. So the level of depth required to make good songs, good poetry, is just not there. Hence Indian rock songs, however amazing the musicianship may be, seem pretentious and cliched. I hope we get more rock out from local languages in India, think how bhojpuri rock will sound? Probably bhojpuri music is looked down upon right now is because the music is poor, the language is as beautiful as any.If they come together , it'll a very different story. . . . . . . . . . . . . my thoughts while listening to Parvaaz, every damn time.
Bro ditto. Whenever I listen to quality Hindi or Urdu rock (Parvaaz , Agnee , Call, Noori, Anand Bhaskar, Moongphali ) I get goosebumps. 10 years ago, this same thought was like an epiphany to me when I was studying medicine. It inspired me to take up learning music and singing, along with my profession, and now after all this while , have a decent skill level at both and finally gonna release my Hindi album of 9 self written and composed tracks in April 2020. Still gives me chills when I listen to how much depth there is when the right linguistic nuances combine with the right music to create a larger than life thing. To create like a meta emotion.
This album and Khalid are divine. Have been listening to Parvaaz for more than a year now ;every song and every album has the same exuberance. You guys are the best and way to go!
when I closed my eyes during a song, I found myself standing just front of the stage in the auditorium at indian statistical institute!! Thank you parvaaz for the amazing music. ❤️
My Holy God.... I never knew we have gems like uh in our own valley... This is epic man... Incredible... Has been on loop for a week now... Rise n shine mate....
I'd like to weigh in here. Firstly, India is a bleeding country. I have little idea about the how foreign coverage of India is. Secondly, religion is truly wrecking our country. Thirdly, it's hardly the utopian "Unity in Diversity" state some of us believe it to be. However, it's still just as capable of producing talents such as this.
You guys are just beginning. Time is not so far when your concert tickets will be very hard to purchased. I wish you guys a best of luck and keep making such beautiful masterpieces
This gave me goosebumps, what an outstanding and so deep composition, totally loved it. Thanks Parvaaz for such a wonderful song to relate to.. Keep up the good work.. we love you all
Hi Khalid Ahmed, heard you yesterday 8/3/20 at Ahmedabad Showcase. Even though the sound system was crappy for the people far behind, your voice touched the soul. Had to find you here; voice of Archangel :)
so so so gorgeous. parvaaz is always an overwhelming, almost religious, experience. can't wait for this album (hope it comes on CD too!)! also if there are any behind the scenes/inside scoop videos coming later, why the change in chords for the beginning of the second verse (from the transitions version)? i loved this too, though. also, the best music video i have seen in such a long time, and possibly my favourite ever by an indian band. p.s. kashif is MADE for the camera.

Sorry but this is pretty distasteful track...
@@thebadger77 ever heard about acquired taste?

What a wonderful production.
Kudos to Parvaaz and their team!
Yes!
Parvaaz is real great. An example for "it is not all about number of views". They have amazing music. It is all very legendry.
Khalid and Kashif, the true rockstars of Kashmir

The way untouched snow has been shot, it's beautiful!! Almost feels surreal and I would say the track does justice to the shot serenity of Kashmir

Someone is someone, sad is broken and I am stunned
Absolutely understated...... International stuff
Most bands would let the song go after 4 minutes but Parvaaz keep coming back with 3-4 outrageously good melodies in their songs.
Seriously in love with colour white ..
As an artist you people are breaking the barriers for upcoming musicians
kashvikas mirsharma they're not upcoming musicians anymore

Aaj to murid phir naraaz hai
Today the devotee is discontent,
Hosh bekhabar par be-baak hai
Lost in thought, yet bold in ascent.

No longer noise, only quiet strength,

What has become of me, unnoticed length?
Shamjaan
Evening soul,
Shamjaaan
The heart sometimes muses, with silent force,
Shamjaan
Why does it drift on a weary course?
Shamjaan hohoho o
Why has it fallen ill again, oh Evening soul?
Sochna dil kabhi shaman zor hai
Think why the heart sometimes feels overwhelmed,
Sochna dil bezaar kyun
Think why the heart is weary,
Ho gaya phir bemaar kyun Shamjaan Hooo hoooo
Why has it fallen ill again, oh Evening soul?
Oh Ho! Oh Ho!
