Lol I appreciate the video and commentary bro. Never thought somebody would make a video on me or that I was even worth talking about. I guess I still don’t see myself the way other people look at me, I don’t want to feel like this big UA-cam celebrity or anything like that, I just want to make videos for fun and hope people enjoy them. By the way, I appreciate the shout out. Great commentary on the video, a lot of the things you talked about of the cartoon series are things that I’m actually not happy with as well. I don’t like inconsistencies with the character designs and how they reuse shots but it does speed up the production time. Each episode takes 3 to 4 months which is ridiculous. I didn't know about Verbalase until I discovered the Thanos beatbox meme about a month or two ago, but I have legitimately enjoyed watching and listening to Verbalase with my little brother since then and I say he has some pretty good content and is a really great guy.

Saying that tracing doesn’t improve future art is a harrowing statement in my opinion. I’ve seen countless artists, including me, who started out tracing different drawings of different characters. Then after being a “tracer” for a while, could draw the characters without tracing in their own style, and then found their own style that way.

Yeah like some of those poses look inspired on than just straight out tracing, tracing is when the drawing looks exactly like what it's being traced off exactly to the line, just copying a pose isn't tracing.

I think its safe to say that basically everyone knew that it was traced as you can clearly tell in half of them you can see key character poses and portraits. But even though you can still see his genuine passion and happiness when he makes them and I really hope he'll be able to make more.

Ignoring the elephant in the room...
I think this critique ignores that the videos are made mostly for people who are fans of the original work, so they pay homage to the originals by including some classic shots of the characters.
Also the videos are short and full of action so the inconsistency isn't really distracting at all, as much as it would be in a slower piece of animation.

I think the traces are actually a good thing, because it keeps character traits that were in a lot of the original thing. If they look the same as before, people will look at that and remember a scene from where that’s from. I know whenever mario jumps, I love it, because of how close it is to the actual jump.

I enjoy his channel and dont mind the inconsistency of the animation it , I'm no artist or animator as long as it convey what it wants to express I'll be ok with it.
He is a good person based on everything I seen from him and I know he's channel will improve on it but this was a good video that pointed out on stuff without it being "critical" but overall good work

These criticism's are all-the-more warranted when you take into consideration how much money he spent on these animations.
Say what you will about the animation and voice acting but the beatboxing is legit impressive plus me pals and I have had some great memes whenever he releases a new video.

With Ace’s newest episode, most of the animation problems have been fixed, the animation has improved drastically, and I’ve only seen 1 example of tracing, and couldn’t find any inconsistencies in the animation so it seems that they’re now using either reference sheets or originally drawn storyboards
Also Sideway Pennywise has been fixed so 10/10 we can no longer criticize him anymore
This literally doesn’t need criticism. It’s not a form of media or entertainment that requires criticism. The whole point of stuff that Ase puts out is for pure fun, it’s not trying to be a professionally made, intense, hip-hop lyrics-esque. Stuff like “Don’t draw characters differently” is such stupid critism - If something doesn’t affect the purpose of media, then it’s not right to critise it. “Thanos doesn’t have the right coloured gems,” like, so? How does that affect the point of the video? You’re nitpicking to nitpick.

This video was a really good insight and critique of verbalase's videos and how their made. I was scared that this video would just be "verbalase did a bad thing" but it was more nuanced than that.
