It's wild how segregated the city is, I've never seen such a socioeconomic cliff like this in my life. RPI brags about "economic revitalization" of the city, but they're only talking about from Congress St to Peoples Ave. They shouldn't be patting themselves on the back saying mission accomplished when most of the city looks like this
Thanks for the drive down memory lane. You went by my parents' place on Glen Ave. and seeing my old school, School 1 (when we lived on Inglas Ave.) and St. Pat's was nice.
I lived in troy in the 60s when most of these werent bad neighbourhoods though around middle burgh street and that area was always the hood even back then
Yup that and south Troy. I’ve heard it’s gotten real bad even in the burgh now. LHS 76! Been back there every few years got fam and friends in the outer reaches now Clifton Park, Brunswick, Speigletown. Try this on ya, Teds Fish fry, Hot Dog Charlies, and Friehofers!
@@ceeceetracey9839 My best friend’s grandparents had an ownership connection and I believe I had every offering that they made and yes the bread smell was unmistakable
Looks like it's a hard place to get through the winter in. Dismal but has a lot of potential. Idk why all these people talking about they need to see more of the neighborhood at the end of the vid. Place looks like Disneyland compared to Troy
At first glance I could clearly see this place is a DUMP. If I lived there I wouldn’t go outside too often other than to buy weed/food & to go to work. I’d definitely stay inside & live out my life online.

I would say this is North Central not the Burgh

Your video was twenty minutes of alleyways in north central, and didnt hit the burgh until three minutes left.
Drove past one of my old buddies house, cool to see it after years later
You entered Lansingburgh at the very end. All of it was the North Central neighborhood
The BURG really starts past 112 th street going north…used to live on 2nd Ave and 120 th street
Just viewed this video and every road that you drove I recognized all I can say is WOW!!!
The first part of this video was not Lansingburgh but North Centrsl Troy. There is a diffrrence...

Hey this is my sisters neighborhood. I live in CT , can you please bring me a shamrock McFlurry?

The burgh is a piece of crap can,t wait to move out of this dump and move away someplace nice
Get out as fast as you can bro, this place makes Poughkeepsie NY look like an ideal place to live.
