Sorry about that weird glitch in the middle!! So what did you think? I still wonder why that one statue in particular draws so much attention...

This certainly is an unusual place. I was surprised that there is a grounds keeper. It would be a great place for a creepy movie too. The builder must have been sentimental about the people he knew to include them too. I really like this new adventure you are on. Thanks for the ideas for this season. 👍🏻🤔

Even if its like that it can still give an insight into the societal structure and how were the lives of people in those times.
For example street art, which you can see on walls may seem pointless and even illegal. But when you look them from a larger view you realise that these arts aren't completely pointless.
These point at a society where social and economic disparities still exist. A society where every individual does not have equal opportunities. Where people are frustrated, angry, rebellious.
I am not trying to be a d*ck...but just putting my own view out there.

It's a really cool story. It might seem like a spooky place to some, especially if you're the kind of person who gets freaked out dolls, which is understandable, but I think this is incredible. This place would make a really good anime. Ok im imagining: at night while theres no people around, the souls in the statues would go and just hang out, you know? Be like ordinary people and go on in their daily (or should i say nightly) lives. And that woman is like, their caretaker(?) and goes on her daily walks to check up on them and protect them.
Edit: or maybe they become humans at night and the woman would do something like, touch the box thing that theyre sitting on or something else to alert them when people are passing by or if the sun’s gonna rise

lighting really matters in this place though, when it is a little darker and misty, it’s damn creepy, but with the sun shining all the statues look so beautiful

I really like season three a lot so far! I hope that Victor puts up more on his channel soon. In my opinion that one statue stands out because she is smiling and seems happy. We could see someone dressed like her walking around today and it wouldn't seem too out of place.

these vids, a great series...wondering if the founder of this place felt compelled to leave something tangible of himself and his life? fear of being forgotten? normally statues are erected on behalf of someone, not oneself...would be interesting to hear more from residents in the area about it...tfs

I wondered that too and figured if I can tons of money to waste, I would memorialize myself and all my friends.

So the creepiness continues for Season 3. I know you say that it's so early in the morning, but it feels like sunset. Like that haunting time during dusk when the light is fading and the statues are waking up. I continue my binge with an increasing heart rate...

It's been a while since I've been able to watch your videos almost immediately after they come out! Great video, though I find it more interesting than creepy... Mind you, at midnight in a storm, lightning cracking and seeing this as you wander, that would be creepy as hell lol
Can't wait for episode 3! You're spoiling us with how fast these have come out thus far.

But I need to get some language down first. First time I was lucky to travel with a Japanese friend, I might not be always that lucky....plus Japanese sounds just so nice to me! :) Keep them coming!

Wow the Japanese countryside villagers are making different museums to show their own stories in their own way. It just shows how the villagers love their own villages and closely integrated that they made effort to bother themselves to deco the village.

Imagine: A bolt of lightning strikes the village in the darkest of midnight, and the statues begin to crack.
Swelling discordant strings in the score, as the statue of the man in the suit begins to morph, and his arm extends. Another statue of a man has a robe that is flowing slightly, despite being made of stone. The statue of a woman in civilian clothes’ face turns sour and angry, while the statue of a Buddhist monk opens his eyes. All of the statues eyes seem to be nothing but darkest black, but all of a sudden, they glow dimly. You are walking in the middle of the village, and you shine a flashlight so no stone enemy will move. They all hiss as the flashlight’s rays hit them, but one statue is not affected. The monk. He begins to float up, crosslegged. His face turns mad. He opens his mouth as the words come out in a dry voice, rough from misuse. “Friends...Attack.” The statues begin to stand up and charge at you. They knock your flashlight to the ground and break it. What if they did the same to your spine? They seem incredibly strong. They position you so you are sitting on an empty stone block. The monk begins to bite your neck. You howl in pain until...you can’t move. As the sun goes up and the statues return to their seats, Your skin turns grey and crackling. You can’t feel anything. You’re trapped in an endless torment of stiffness. But there’s a plus side. Every night since then, you come to life, and every time there’s a civilian foolish enough to walk down the road at midnight, you join their haunting jamboree... (is it obvious that I’m a writer?)
