DISCLAIMER: This is a reupload to a more watchable version than our previous upload. We saw this DAY ONE when it came out on streaming. Literally saw this exactly MIDNIGHT on streaming release day. So at the time there was absolutely no clips and the very rare spoilers from theater goers. I apologize for the confusion.
Yes he was holding back in the apartment fight, one thing with Spider-Man is that he knows he’s stronger than his villains. He knows he’s strong enough to kill them if he didn’t pull his punches and because of that he’s always holding back cause he doesn’t want to kill anyone.
Remember from SP1 (Toby), that Norman's formula was basically a super soldier serum that had a side effect of driving test subjects crazy. So Peter had to basically fight an insane Cap or Bucky
Fun fact: Almost every iteration of Spider-Man holds back, pulling all their punches, because he is so strong he could break nearly all your bones with a single punch. One version, Superior Spider-Man, was Otto Octavius taking over after a mind switch and took up the mantle to be a better Spider-Man, a "Superior" one. Early in his new hero career, he nearly kills three villains with little effort, realizing that Spider-Man had been holding back on fighting him for so long. Taking off the Scorpion's jaw with one punch.
And Scorpion had superhuman durability as well when that happened. I like how to explain how strong Spider-Man/Peter Parker is, the majority use the Scorpion jaw thing as an example, lol.
@@TheInsaneRazor123 I forget though, I thought it was because of the suit Scorpion had superhuman durability, or does he have some powers without the suit/another super-soldier experiment injection thing?
@@NameIsZHe's like Spiderman except with Scorpion. So he has superhuman strength, speed, durability, stamina, and wall crawling. The sting with the venom was his own creation along with the suit.
I once heard that there were two sides to being Spider-Man: 1. He always tries to help people no matter what. 2. He also happens to have the absolute worst luck in the universe.
The reason why Dr. Strange couldn't trap Thanos in the mirror dimension is because he had both the Space and Reality stone that time. He could manipulate space and reality, which means trapping him in the mirror dimension would've been ineffective.
The small redemption Andrew Garfield got from catching MJ and actually saving them is genuinely emotional. You can almost feel that Peter had been planning out and constantly thinking of what he could have done differently to save her life and now he can actually do it.
I cry waterfalls every time because of the satisfaction he gets but also knowing that if he jumped down to save Gwen instead relying on the webbing she would've still been her omg this movie is so good
The experience of seeing all this in the cinema was so surreal. One of the best cinema experiences of my entire life and it brought to life all the things I wanted to see for a long time and it was easily my favourite movie of 2021 and one of my top 3 MCU movies ever.
@@red16wolfit is abundantly clear that neither of them saw this movie before the reaction. Based on the questions alone. And the fact they didn't know which Goblin it was.
A lot of people really don't know that spiderman is always holding back and he's way stronger than he shows because even Green goblin is a super human and he was getting the best of him
back in the days when everyone were waiting months for the movie to release and everyone was so hype when they saw doctor octopus's "hello peter" and the pumpkin bomb, the experience in the cinemas is unforgettable
The Spidermen always hold back their hits because they're just too strong they could break all their opponent's bones in one blow ; so yeah, Peter was holding back back at Happy's place. That's why the final fight hits different ; he's so pissed he doesn't hold back against Norman out of pure wrath
I have to say it here because I've yet to see somebody recognize it, but listen closely to the music that plays during the whole scene when Dr Strange has to cast the spell to make everybody forget Peter at the end of the movie. It's a sad-toned version of one of the main themes of the film, but it uses small snips of the tracks that played when Tony Stark died and at his funeral. I thought that was incredible use of music and very symbolic of Peter maturing into himself and, in terms that Cap and Tony would recognize, "making the sacrifice play" that those who read comics would expect our selfless Spiderman to do. EXCELLENT use of music. I recognized the theme when I first saw the movie in theaters, and it REALLY added to the emotion of the scene for me!
26:33 "Where was this (mirror dimension) when he fought Thanos" Dr Strange attempted to use this during the fight on Titan. Thanos used one or more of the stones to somehow nullify or counter it. I'd have to rewatch IW, but you can see him cast the cracked glass/mirror looking effect at Thanos, which would have put him in the mirror dimension had it connected.
Tom’s spidey may have more experience, but he usually has help.. Tobey and Andrew (apart from Harry in spiderman 3) usually do things on their own.. Andrew gets some help from Gwen too

Ned is actually going to be a villain eventually. In the comics, the actor playing "Ned" is Ned Leeds who becomes the Hobgoblin. The difference between him and the Green Goblin in the comics if I'm not mistaken uses magic and this movie sets that up!!
MJ saying "It doesn't hurt anymore" about the scratch on her head near the end breaks my heart every time cuz to Peter it means that she doesn't hurt anymore now that she's out of Spiderman's life.
Hey just wanted say that dr strange did try to send thanos to the dimension if you notice during the fight strange throws a glass like substance at thanos which thanos proceeds to shatter with a punch, he just couldnt get thanos inside

I'm not sure about space but everyone on Earth memory has been erased including technology like E.D.I.T.H which uses biometric identification which is why he needed to make its own suit also he didn't need a advance suit. Also it's only people and things that can match Peter Face to his name but things that has only his name he still has like his birth certificate.
1:07:00 What people don't realize, if spiderman went all out he'd kill everyone he fought. So in the apartment, he was holding back. But in this scene, he wasn't. And we know how that went.
Fun Fact : Spider-Man is constantly holding back and gages the force he needs to exert. This is best shown in The Superior Spider-Man comics, where he punchs the Scorpion's jaw clean off.
15:18 That's becasue he technically is. Despite Disney attempting to say other wise, Spider-Man has been seen as FACE of Marvel Comics for YEARS. Stan Lee has even gone on record to say that Spider-Man is to himself as Mickey is to Walt Disney.

The original spell was only supposed to make everyone forget Peter was Spider-Man. In order to fix the rift in the multiverse, Strange has to make everyone forget Peter even EXISTS. That explains his reluctance to cast the latter spell. It has significantly more consequences for Peter.
Yep, it's much more worse than the original spell. At least with that one, he could have continued living on but everyone would have forgotten who Spider-Man's secret identity is. The new version wipes him so much out of existence, even his Stark suit doesn't recognize him, hence, why it prompted him to make his own suit.
Every time a character says With great power comes great responsibility they die It’s the story of Spider-Man Also Ned will become HobGoblin, a major major spidey villain
The one thing that scared me and I'm glad it didn't happen was when Tom was beating goblin that as soon as he was gonna kill him with the glider that they would have tobey jump in the way and get stabbed just like how Harry Osborne sacrifices himself in spiderman 3
I wouldn't necessarily write off Ned's villain comment. While quite different the Ned Leeds in the comics went on to be one of several characters to take on the Hobgoblin persona.
Yes, that might still happen since now he's forgotten his promise to Peter. He won't even remember he's broken that promise if he never remembers he made it in the first place. Life could just deal him a shitty hand, and that leads him down the path of villainy. A lot like the other villains who never really wanted to be evil, they just had unfortunate circumstances that led them to become one. Maybe how he becomes a version of hobgoblin is that this Ned has access to magic, which if so, could potentially be dangerous.
Yeah, fun fact, every other version of Peter Parker uses web shooters since spider-mans creation. He always used web shooters and raimi fans just assumed based on this one version.
I love this movie to death, but this bit with the pumpkin bomb at 37:22 will always frustrate the heck out of me. For two reasons in particular, going back to the OG Spider-Man 3. You mention how Peter should have gotten messed up by the bomb. Well, back in Spider-Man 3, there's a scene where Peter fights Harry. Harry throws one of those bombs at Peter while Peter's back is turned. Naturally, Peter effortlessly dodges it, catches it with his web, and slingshots it right back at Harry. Harry of course gets some pretty terrible scars on his face from it, and goes blind in one eye. Meanwhile we've got Tom's Peter here completely fumbling with the grenade, which is weird when we saw some pretty crazy use of his Spider-Sense during the Doctor Strange fight. Not to mention he's completely unscathed from the bomb blowing up right in his face. Obviously this is way nit-picky but still haha. Funnily enough this is what Tobey is talking about when he says "Oh yeah, I'm good. I've been stabbed before." Since Harry gets him pretty good with a dagger.

Obviously this is way nit-picky but still haha. Funnily enough this is what Tobey is talking about when he says "Oh yeah, I'm good. I've been stabbed before." Since Harry gets him pretty good with a dagger.
Much. Much. MUCH better reaction than your DeadPool!
