Had a 2012 Leaf for seven years. Zero problems and no maintenance required. We moved away from the big city so my wife decided we needed something with more range so replaced it with a used 2017 Volt. We also got a new Tesla MS60 in 2013 which we still have. Our Leaf had the solar panel which only charged the 12 volt battery. It lost the first bar on the battery by the time we sold it so had about 100km range in perfect conditions at 50000km. I would have kept it but the wife was afraid of the Tesla so wouldn't drive it for the longer trips. I've since convinced her to take the Tesla when the range is required to save gas on the Volt so we could still be using the Leaf 😂

I'm in NZ with 2012 JDM Leaf now has 42k kms. I don't use Chademo fast charging only AC as I only do 25km / day. My guess o meter is accurate because I'm usually travelling at 50km/hr. I have 8 bars on mine as well but I have seen 8 bars on cars that have done 250k kms for sale in the used market. Mine was imported from Japan and I bought from used car dealer for NZD 8, 000

The red lines are the battery cells currently undergoing cell balancing.

Red means "not balanced" I believe.
