Sometimes it seems to me that Gorod is, to put it mildly, underrated. The guys have been doing something really new and interesting for years with incredible production quality, clearly putting their soul into the music, otherwise I don’t know how to explain such original, anti-commercial music, which at the same time sounds really melodic and never gets boring. They will be as known as Gojira, also from France, though the style is a bit more extreme compared to Gojira, saw them back in 2010 in Wacken Festival. I had to leave Iron Maiden the last hour to see Gojira, but I was blown away. These 2 french metal super bands are epic, but no arrogance in their apperance... Music speaks at higher level
I absolutely love progression in songs. This isn't just a band that can string the most technical pieces together and hang off of that merit but instead they are technical and manage to create an incredible atmosphere with super catchy riffs. Plus I feel like the lyrics could be inspired by the book The Kybalion or something similiar. Which brings me back to my point about progression. The lyrics have a subtle progression which culminates in more detail on who this group of "Mages" are. Combined with that awesome outro riff, this is one of my favorite songs. This is art to me.
That opening guitar solo is magical. Cannot explain it, it is simply a pure joy of playing music for the sake of playing music. If Sabbath ruled early 70s and Priest late 70s, Gorod rules the 2000s. Leading Visions and Maze of Recycled Creeds are insane!!!

Truly one of the most underrated metal bands in the modern scene. No worries though, cause those of us that love them do so with a fucking passion.

1st French DM band I saw live back in '91 or '92 was Massacra.
But after Gojira, they raised to another level. Gorod is from another Galaxy !!
