This is a special ceremony to install Torah scrolls into a synagogue, yeshiva, shul, any location where Torah is observed. This is an ancient ceremony that can be found in the Bible, dating back to when the Ark of The Covenant was transported. The priests and King would dance , sing and play instruments as the Ark of the Covenant made its way to its next resting place. It is an act of respect and honor to G-d and His Holy Torah.

I didn't know why I felt much attracted to ashkenazi custom specially since my teshuvah, and it's because of the many elements of the khazar peoples, I also have turkish genes so in that sense we are relatives with some of the ashkenazim who are descended from khazars, which in turn, descended from ancient Israelites!
