    They were able to identify Molly Burns, but Henry got away with killing her. Bobby and his brother spent 50 years believing their mother had abandoned them - not abandoned, but murdered by their father. omg

    I figure the mom spent a bunch of time in the bathroom because she was covering up bruises. If the kids and family didn't question her leaving, it must have been pretty rough in that house. 😢

    Interesting cases. But the weird camera angles and spinning images were so disturbing and distracting that I could barely watch. I finally just listened. But it’s too bad that an otherwise good story is ruined by artsy-fartsy special effects. Just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should.🤨

      This was the editing style of the 90s. What can you do? 🤷🏻‍♂️ The sax music was also annoying to me.
      But I actually felt very nostalgic watching this show, it reminded me of watching TV when I was a kid. 😊

    Unless that hround is flat, you can not get an accurate temperature. I ride hills on my bike in medacine Hat. The temperature in a 15-foot elevation change can be 5 to 10 degrees. It is warm on top, and cold in the small valleys. And trees make an obvious difference. Its not the pon point accurate science they are portraying here

    The narrator asks the viewers not to jump to the conclusion that the husband did it and brings up the obstacle that he never had a car, so how could he have travelled the distance of 10 blocks with the body to bury it at it's final location. The sleuth narrator then dreams up the speculative idea, that he could have transported the body with a horse, which he would have had access to. This was the nail in the coffin to convict the husband in his mind. What a joke of a speculative solution to the puzzle, which would have never stood up in court as 'evidence'. Having said that, I do believe that the husband did it.

    Why use a computer assisted program to reconstruct a face from a skull? They have had specialists doing it manually for a few decades now and is much more accurate!! This method always works out correctly... Including the nose, whereas this so-called specialist even stated her method almost always gets the nose wrong!!

      Forensic artists are more often than not freelancers so cost and availability would probably be why. Forensic sculptors are extremely specialised even today so they probably wouldn't be a dime a dozen to access.

    • @CryptidsRoost
      @CryptidsRoost 7 місяців тому +2

      @@nicolegibson6178 Quite possibly. I know at one time many police forces already had these sculptors on the payroll. Obviously their skills were not always needed, so they most likely would be doing other forensic work until the skill was required.

    I’m going to assume that Toronto is 70 - 80 years behind the U.S. shoe fashions. Once women started working they dispensed with a shoe hook as necessary to save time. Some ladies couldn’t even button their shoes, or button down the back of her dress. And 1940’s women wore more makeup than any other time, except the sixties. Now if that shoe was authentic then yes women didn’t wear makeup in the nineteenth century.

      Sweetheart, I'm an old woman. My mother, who is still alive, even older. She was both alive and a woman during the 40s and no, not EVERY woman wore "more makeup than ever." Class and income had a great deal to do with what women wore and how they presented themselves. In the 40's things such as makeup were considered luxury items. The country was still recovering from the great depression, which only ended in 1939, and took quite some time to completely recover from. In truth the national debt grew most rapidly in 1941 & 1942. But even though unemployment recovered quickly in 1942, households and incomes, a long with supply chains didn't fully recover until around 1945. The great depression is also the very cause of the end of the international gold standard. Which we have YET to recover from. Every increase in the national debt further devalues the dollar. We may, in fact, be looking at another severe depression.

      Or you could assume the more obvious answer that the props person was clueless or care less about historically accurate footwear for the.re- enactment.
      No one was stepping out in circa 1880 boots in WW2 era Toronto. Whoever was filming looked like they were tripping too.
