HI, I just did the connection between a newly installed retractable awning with a somfy motor and the universal RTS receiver. I followed your lead for which wire was up and which was down, and indeed it was reversed. (This is really only a serious problem if you have a sensor linked because it will open instead of closing or close instead of opening). At first I was puzzled that this wasn't just standardized for which color is up and which is down, but then I realized that in some installations the motor will be on the left of the tube and others it will be on the right, so up and down will be reversed. It would be helpful if this was clarified from the beginning. I was slightly confused by the fact that for roller blinds you can reverse the motor direction by programming via the remote, but for awnings you need to reverse the wiring. In any case, thanks for your videos.
Hi Gerrit, I am glad the video was helpful. Videos in general take a lot of time to make (filming, editing, clearing schedules for a full day), which is probably why not too many are made. Somfy covers some of the main topics, but this is probably a bit too exotic.
