FLORIDA VLOG: Building Disney Ears at Springs, Hard Rock Hotel, GIDEONS & Orlando NIGHT Kayaking! 🤩

- Join me and Laura on Day Five of our June 2024 Orlando Florida Holiday! We start off heading straight to Celebration Town for the Sunday Market, looking around various Market Stalls and shops whilst sipping on a Local Coffee and a Starbucks by the lake. There was also a wonderful singer on creating a lovely atmosphere by the lake as people looked around the shops and stalls.
We then head to Hard Rock Hotel Orlando for the acoustic Brunch, something that was highly recommended to us, however we had a mixed experience! We managed to activate plan B and head into Universal Studios for a Today Cafe lunch instead which was delicious! We then caught the resort boat back to the Hotel which is something we have never done before and really enjoyed along with a look at the Hotel pool area.
We then jump in the Rental Car and head to Disney Springs at Disney World to build some Disney ears at the Ever After store and to also get a famous Gideons cookie for the first time, where i waited 40 minutes in the rain-was it worth it for the Chocolate chip cookie?! The review and my thoughts on the cookie are included in a taste test section back at the villa.
To round off the day, Laura booked an amazing surprise for us both, a transparent Kayak tour excursion in Orlando around some fresh water lakes. It was something very unique and different, where i even got out the Kayak and had a swim in the fresh water lakes! We highly recommend this tour!

I think you were supposed to just go help yourself at the hard rock hotel buffet, they probably thought you were staying there and knew what to do… but to be fair it was no way worth what you nearly paid especially as you know you would of bought more food and drink at some point during the day 😂.. the more I see of the parks, shops , restaurants in the vlogs I realise it’s a place I would never step foot in 😂 give me blue seas, sunshine and a beach bar any day .. the price of Everything is ridiculous.. your so lucky to go 3 times a year but you could have shares in the parks by now 😂❤
I’ve stayed at the hard rock worth every penny. The palm is ok just good quality food as you’d expect. The plus to staying there fast pass plus for your whole stay. You never Que for a ride.

We are staying at Royal pacific and it’s so much cheaper than buying the fast passes. We even have a club level room which has a lounge for breakfast and snacks throughout the day. Another great vlog hope you both had a great time

I tell people all the time. Dump the car in the parking garage, avoid security and go get a bus to Aventura or Portofino and do the garden walkway in to the park, really sets you up for the day plus you get to see some universal resort hotels

Laura is her own person, she agreed that the service sucked..also gluten free wise was only omelette so she wasnt exactly gutted to miss those…you’ve also commented this on a vlog were laura decided and booked kayaks herself for us 😂

Loved the cookie reviews. Bitterly honest over a bitter naff cookie. lol. Laura looked lovely when you left the villa. Felt for her bless her eating that ice cream in the rain. Looked like she still enjoyed it even with a puddle in the bowl. Great stuff.

If you want the express then hotel works out way cheaper then paying on gates, you can get 3/4 people in rooms for family as it’s 2 double Beds that would be $200 per person per day in the park. That’s two days as well.

I completely agree with you Andrew, Gideon's is not worth it. We were out there in May and waited 45 minutes and had 6 different cookies. They were all bad, never again.
We were walking past Gideon’s last week and noticed that there were only three or four people in the queue so we decided to finally try it.
We got a July exclusive - lemon and poppy seed - and a Coffee Cake one.
Both were really nice. The lemon and poppy seed one had white chocolate chips so it just tasted like white chocolate (which is a little artificial in itself) and overall the cookie was decent.
The coffee cake one had no coffee flavour whatsoever but instead tasted of cinnamon, in a good way - it tasted like a cinnamon pastry and the crumbles were lovely, buttery and not dry. We really enjoyed both but the coffee cake one was definitely the better one.
I wouldn’t say they were life changing and not worth a 45 minute queue wait but I am glad we tried them and I recommend the flavours we have tried!

We finally decided to find out for ourselves what all the hype for Gideons was back in June . Fortunately it was dry for us and only a 15 minute wait.
We got two cookies, the banana bread and pistachio ones , and they were just ok, and more like a cake than a cookie in my opinion. A one and done for us .

Stayed at Loews Royal Pacific last summer to get use of the express passes. Totally worth it🤩looking forward to next May when we will be staying in the hard rock hotel to do the same again🤩👍

Stayed at HR first time I went to Florida in 2018. Couldn’t fault it. The express passes great and we could walk to parks in 5mins. X

Stayed at Hard Rock and Cabana. Hard Rock is perfect for Universal/Citywalk, a lovely walk as you saw. So conveniant and you get the express pass. Cabana is great for Volcano Bay but you need transport to the other parks and you dont get the express as its a value resort.
Loved tonight’s vlog, bloody brilliant 😊 I’m sooooooo happy you swam Andrew, I’d have had to go in to swim, what a fabulous adventure, well chosen Laura. ❤ x 🎉😊 we were treated like dirt at the Hard Rock Cafe in Tenerife and I left really upset, anyway I emailed head office to tell them, they sent us an email saying we’d get a free meal if ever we go back and they sent me a beautiful rucksack from the merch store, and were very apologetic.
Breakfast at Royal Pacific was amazing you should try there I'm also gluten free, Love your vlogs 😊 rookie mistake though not bringing ponchos 😂
Was annoyed at myself about forgetting to get to Gideons last trip... Now not so much 🤣🤣🤣
Stayed there last year, got the two days passes. Spent a few hours on the beach but the pool with a bucket of beers from the pool bar before going to Margaritaville for dinner. Well worth it, a great experience.

I stayed and am booked again for November to stay at Cabana Bay. I love that universal hotel n the walk from there is about 20mins thru lovely gardens or a 10mins boat ride via sapphire falls. 😊

We've stayed at the HRH it was brilliant, with a one night stay you get 2 days worth of Unlimited Expresses passes for the day you check in and the day you check out, also early entry to the parks, we had a good few hours in the park on the day we checked in then back to the hotel and had some pool time, we ordered cocktails and a server brings them to you, so we didn't even need to leave the pool lol

Great vlog.people need to wise up soon and stop paying stupid prices .no need of it apart from greed.not value for money any especially in the parks.Magic is all gone😢🥲.Been to Disney in Hong Kong Paris and california.so much better value for money.The vibe is buzzing.staff so friendly.All in my opinion😊
we paid $600 in June for a family of 5 for one night, made total sense as we saved a ton if we bought the passes separately. They got their money back when we ate in the Palm which cost over $600 , the food was word class though.

We agree Andrew, Gideons aren’t for us either. Oily, salty and foul chocolate! We have them a 2nd go a year apart and no better 😢
I've done a one night stay and a full two week stay at the Hard Rock and it is well worth it. The access to the parks, express passes and the whole onsite feel is brilliant. As soon as you walked into the lobby, I could smell it's unique scent!

@TheKnightStrider it's also great for HHN. To be able to walk back or take the water taxi is the best. If remember right, onsite hotel guests got a dedicated entrance to HHN

The cookies are waaaaay better once cold so they are more crunchy. I agree with you that they are over hyped but they are ‘good’ once they go cold (crunchy).

Hi, I love your vlogs. Me and my wife is going to Florida in the middle of november for a 2 and half week holiday, the first week we going to spend on a cruse with Oasis of the seas and the 2nd week we going to spend in Orlando. we have been in Orlando several time, but never in Nov/dec. Do you know how the weather normally been in nov/dec?

Stayed at Hard Rock at Christmas one night for the family of 4 for the unlimited passes for both days. Was quite a bit cheaper than buying all those at the Christmas prices. Was glad to go back to Disney the next evening again. Deluxe hotels at Disney are way nicer and we got much better service. In my opinion.
