12 Spitfire's MASS FORMATION at Duxford Air Show 2017

I was lucky enough to do my work experience at Duxford and one of these aircraft actually has my name in the belly skin alongside the pilot who flew her in the Battle of Britain, which is a real honour for me. The highlight of last September's Battle of Britain Air Show was seeing 12, Supermarine Spitfire's in formation at Duxford. Followed by an impressive 2 part tail chase. Enjoy the iconic sound of these 10 Rolls-Royce Merlin's and 2 Rolls-Royce Griffon V12 engines. Often know as the "Sound of Victory". Duxford is the home of the Spitfire, over 10 examples are based with that number growing as restoration projects on average return 2 Spitfires per year to air worthy status - much like the one I aided with on my work experience back in 2015.
