Ooh La La (Faces Cover) - Dustbowl Revival

- We had a little fun in the Florida Keys covering one of our new favorite Faces classics. Written by Ronnie Lane & Ronnie Wood in 1973. Rare Faces song that Rod Stewart did NOT sing lead - but Ronnie Lane did. We didn't fall in. Listened to grandad's advice. Kind of. Sweated a lot. Mission accomplished. Share if ya dig.

Just found this at 3am, and I'm grinning ear to ear. 10/10 cover.
3:47am for me, same result.
5:42 am for me!
I admit I was skeptical when I saw the trombone... but oh man. Great stuff!
I thought the slide trombone was gonna make this Faces cover cheesy but it actually worked well for this song. Nicely done, guys!
Jason Heavner the slide version is just a Trombone. If it’s valved it’s called a Valve Trombone... or else we’d be calling them stringed guitars and sticked drums...
The trombone really sells it. I've always loved that instrument, it lends itself surprisingly well to this tune. You guys sound great, you've got a new fan!
sensacional parabens
That was really good 👍
Outstanding!
The sound and vibe are insane!👊
Not gonna lie, the sight of the trombone scared me but wow, what a pleasant surprise. Thanks for covering one of my all time favorite tunes and in a great setting . Had to subscribe after this.
Beautiful and authentic rendition
This just came up on my feed... This was at my best friends wedding. You guys were great!
This is my favorite rendition of this song I have heard.
Made me feel alive, loved it.
That voice is so perfect.. this was incredible.. tearing up
The fact that this doesn't even have 2,000 views yet is such a shame. The whole world should see this.
This is really really really good. Gives me goosebumps. You guys nailed it. And what a setting!
Thank you for this! Just recently fell in love with this song and you guys do it justice. On a 'wild coincidence' note: I am here exactly 2 years after you posted this, on my birthday. Kinda wild. Might have to make this a birthday tradition. Thanks again for your lovely music!
comin' up on a year

This was great. First time hearing you all but you have a new subscriber
Absolutely nothing cooler than a trombone, or whatever that thing is
Nice! Sang right along...
Wow this is amazing! Thanks for sharing
Great cover !
Amazing guys
Why does this not have a million views
RONNIE LANE COVER... he took his song onto Slim Chance before he died of MS... Slim Chance still play it.
You guys did it again, I love the view!!!!! You guys always make me smile even when I think I can't. Thank you.
Not sure why the trombone works so perfectly here. This sounds like something that would be just as at home on the streets of New Orleans as on the streets of Nashville
really nice, guys! Nice video!
Magical...love this! The (Small) Faces are legendary, great cover.
AWESOME AS ALWAYS !!!
Come to Boston soon!!!!
Awesome cover!! Totally digging it
this is so sick
I'm a little late but this was very well done. Well done.
Very nice! !
He sounds a bit like Ronnie Lane. Loved this.
Great, love the girl
Major vibes
great cover, my dudes. congrats.
Amazing would it be possible to get the chords for the guitar on this cover. Best cover of the song I heard
There's literally only 2 chords. I'm sure you can easily learn it by ear lmfao.
@@Brandon-dy8us do you know what they are?
@@mattyanginski2313 I’m not Brandon, but I’m pretty sure the chords are D major and E minor seventh.
@@shmangus9305 I’m actually glad you aren’t Brandon and I’m very happy you replied to me
How tf has this been around for 2 years and only garnered 600 something likes 🤷🏻♂️
Wow
I thought the vocals nailed the deep emotion behind the lyrics. Awesome cover!
I was your 1,000 like....you're welcome
Doctor: “You only have 4min to live”
Me: “well doctor, leave me alone bc I need to watch this cover on UA-cam”
Pretty good cover. Ronnie Lane sang lead, not Ron Wood on album.
Ronnie Wood sang lead on the Ooh La La album his only lead vocal with the Faces, Ronnie Lane always played it live with Slim Chance and the band still do today, I helped Ian McLagan a bit when he put the 5 guys Faces collection together and the one thing we searched high and low for was Ronnie Jane's guide vocal/demo of the song, the holy grail of Faces tracks but sadly it is lost, I made a documentary about Ronnie called the Passing Show that the BBC aired on 2006,we used a beautiful version that Ronnie did in Austin at one of if not the last time played out, he's backed by 2 guitars (Rich Brotherton and Jodie Denberg) and some lovely fiddle by Susan Voelz
@@MrRupw You are correct and I was wrong.
without a paddle got me here
Great cover!
