    well, looks exactly like the HX Outdoors Mercenary Axe i bought several years ago. and it's made of 440C, not soft 50Cr like yours. for a better price. so i don't see the point, sorry.

      @@UFOSPACEMAN yes, more or less. it means that the Carbon content is 0.5%.
      8Cr has 0.8%
      440C, 10Cr, AUS10, VG10 have 1.0%
      and so on. the Carbides are responsible for the wear resistance. so low Carbon content usually means low hardness. if you heat-treat it to high hardness it becomes brittle and chips easily.
