mentioning this on a number of reviews...i love this watch! gorgeous classic look...however i use my dive watches in the dark so i knew i'd have do something about that lack of a pip. removing the bezel or the insert alone on these is not like an invicta, the bezel AND the insert are in and on the watch and a real effort to get off without destroying your new kano, leaving putting a dot of wet lume paint in the middle of the triangle and letting it dry. i've done this on unlumed vostok bezels and have done that on my new kano. noctilumina is the best, not made too pasty but rather liquidy so you can drop a perfect bubble shaped droplet right in the middle of that triangle. if you make a mistake you can wipe the still wet noctilumina off and try again. took me 4 tries before i got a nice bubble right in the middle of the triangle that looks indistinguishable from a pip. the nocti is rugged and waterproof, tho if you dive with it you might want to seal it with some extra binder, i think the 1A is the best for water tight seals (got all this info from noctilumina...they are not only helpful but their stuff is incredible). anyway, i love this watch, it was the perfect watch for me except for no lume pip/dot, and now that's fixed. note: the dot will look manufactured on there and balance beautifully with the brightness of the markers. you can get colors that glow in any direction, but the bright white just happens to match the color of the manufactured hands/markers when in the light, and matches the greenish cast when glowing. superb. nice review by the way.
@@martinharrison4245 You crazy bro? Oriënt's movements are very accurate. The finish is at least as good. The bezel and allignment is better. Great complications.
@@evh4611 , well the mako I had didn't last very long before things went wrong. It went In the bin after a couple of years. I do remember the box being nice. The seiko in this vid is far superior to that orient. I own this watch and I've owned a vast amount over my lifetime, and this seiko is as good as anything out there for it's price.the most similar style is the oris 65, but that is nearly double the price , and the quality of this piece, is as good as any low entry Swiss models, better than most. Considering you might be able to pick one up for €500/£600 , in good condition, it's a steal at that price.
@Sam Robert, well considering I it was cheap at the time , and it was broken and crown came out etc, it was not worth repairing. We wasn't paying the silly price they are now to buy, they were cheap then. Would have cost me more to fix. So yes it was disposable. Even now if a watch is faulty , I will just sell it on eBay as such unless I really want to keep it. Watches are not cheap to fix generally in England.
I’m a big fan of this series from Seiko. I basically like everything about it. Not the best value but I think it’s worth it if you like it. The Orient is nice too, and offfers something similar for a lot less. I have a Mako USA II, very nice as well.
Hey I know it's a old video but the one wirh the red anyone know what size the strap is I always have to put it on the last or second to last hole what's the max wrist size the strap supports?
The Orient Kano reminds me of the Tudor BB 58 with the burgundy bezel 😅
I've 15 orients in my collection, I think they are better quality then my seiko watches.
for the same price point perhaps.
Wow, 15 pieces? Why?
@@TraktorIvanovich Why not :-)
@@TraktorIvanovich Because. They are the best for the money.

Oriënt is So underrated
No it's an average watch, seiko beats it easily. In my opinion.

surfitli I must agree
I have that Seiko, I also like everything about it. expect for the ALIGNMENT!!!!!!
The Oriënt is 44 mm?? It does not look that way at all, compared to the Seiko
Really like the kano, I'm just not sure if it wouldn't be too big for my 7.2 inch wrist? Thx for the video
I have a 7.5 but yeah you need to try one on first
Isn't the Kano 50mm lug-to-lug?
Same Familly but greater diameter and rubber bracelet change destination . (Orient looks 100 percent sport ) Seiko is a po,yvalentt watche
Nice comparison video!! Love them both!!🤣👍👊😎
awesome orient

I think the Kano is also 50mm lug to lug
Seiko Epson Orient is the same Company.
So is Audi, Skoda, Volkswagen, Seat and Porsche. But totally different companies as are Seiko and Orient.
Orient indeed makes a better quality watch than Seiko..
No way, had a mako, fell to bits after a year, seiko are way better .
Only orient worth buying is the orient osd 300.Seiko's diver quality is higher than orient and citizen.
