For the majority of my life, my family vacationed in Daytona Beach. It's been almost 9 years since I was there, so, it's nice to see some of the changes. Your whole trip takes me back. The last time we were there we traveled to Saint Augustine, and they were giving the beautiful Bridge of Lions a face-lift. Thanks for your vlogs...living vicariously through your travels😊
We stay at the "Holiday Shores" every year. It's another old style Hotel . But we've been going since the 70's and friends and family all get together there. Great place and friendly people. Thanks for the Vlog.
I have stayed here a few times. This is, hands down, the BEST hotel on all of Daytona Beach. Can’t stand the high rises. Tropical Manor is another great place.
Stayed at the Flamingo Inn in the early 2000s, we to arrived late, except it was Christmas 🎅🏻 night. Back then, it was quite costly but, it was discount price that night, we to were on the very top floor.But,back then, they had elevators and, lady who checked us in was very rude. Never had a problem nowhere else but,there. Yes, they added the kitchenettes. It was my first trip to Florida. We also ate at that same restaurant, back then, it was more of a bar. They had lunch specials. It was okay but, nothing to write home about. My Uncle and Aunt don’t live very far from Daytona.
Daytona Beach was my favorite place for spring break. We used to hang out about 100 yards south of the pier, and go dance at the Sahara hotel by the pool each night.
If you want to go in the water, head south to New Smyrna Beach - it's got great facilities to change in (always clean), showers, it's low-crime (safe), and the water there is AMAZING! The beach there is pristine...27th Avenue Beachfront Park Catch a sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean from 27th Avenue Beachfront Park. Amenities at the 3.4-acre park include a boardwalk, basketball and racquetball courts, picnic area with sail shade coverings, outdoor showers, and restrooms. This park also features a brand new fully ADA accessible playground with grass turf which officially opened on June 28, 2019. This oceanfront park provides fishing and swimming on the beach at the intersection of 27th Avenue and A1A/Atlantic Avenue on New Smyrna Beach’s south beach area, 3701 S Atlantic Avenue.

Nice room. compact but comfortable with a decent partial view🤩 Sorry it was not a little warmer for you guys🤨The BBQ looked good...Coleslaw is always a hit and miss due to everyone has their own idea of how it should be made🙄Overall, I would say that you hit upon a good deal and should have had a decent time🐾🦊🐺🐾
We visited Daytona about 9 years ago and stayed at the Hawaiian Inn, it was nice. I love it there, beautiful beach. We went to the chocolate factory and did a walk-thru where they tell the story about coco and different stuff with chocolate, interesting. I like the lamps in the room there they look kind of 70 ish! Best place to be out on the balcony when the sun rises and sets, wrapped up in a blanket with a nice cup of coffee! RELAXATION 101! Have y'all done any swimming yet?
Love your videos guys! You need to go to Crabby Joes and eat. Not Joes Crab shack! Crabby Joes is about 5 mines south on Sun Glow pier with seating on a deck over the water. Its great.
It’s funny because every January we come to Pigeon Forge for my wife’s birthday. We watch your videos all year long and we hoped today we would see a yellow Jeep running around with you guys reviewing stuff and you’re in Florida today.
The view of the ocean from your room was awesome!!! When you and Dawn were at Hog Heaven BBQ my husband and I were saying,"why do they give such small servings of coleslaw," and right after that you mentioned it and we started to laugh. Great minds think alike. ;)

Watching your vlog was so relaxing. Your room looked really nice. I am surprised that they don't have ramps going up to the higher floors to make it ADA accessible. Really enjoyed your walk on the beach to the main part of Daytona Beach. The sea gulls were adorable. Your food looked good but nothing spectacular.
A lot of these older hotels get grandfathered in due to the fact ADA was not required when they were built. Not sure the year it was a requirement but you will a lot them not accessible as the newer ones. We stay at a lot of historic hotels And Bed and Breakfasts and none of them are handicapped accessible at all.
Hope you guys are enjoying my part of the country and i don't understand why these restaurants are going so small on the sides like the coleslaw and I will be coming up to y'alls neck of the woods in a month to enjoy those beautiful smokies which i prefer over florida any day 53 yrs of FL is enough😂 👍👍

Very old school. I can’t believe you stayed there. That is the exact same place we stayed at back 93 for Spring Break. It wasn’t the best place or the worse place even back then. We had an usual stay to say the least, started with a 2 room connected suite, we came back from running around only to find the owner moved our stuff to a single smaller room. We got into argument with him, he called the cops, but buddy video recorded the interaction. Cops watched video plus we showed him our reservation. We got our room back and owner sent us a case of beer the next day to make up. Turns out he overbooked and the other folks offered him extra money to get the room When they checked in. Thanks for the memory. Lol we called it the Pepto Bismol Inn instead of flamingo Inn due to it being all pink. Lol
Morning is a good time to get sea shells. Jus watch out for hermit crabs in the shells. My nephew brought one home with a crab 🦀 in it and scared his mom with it . We were laughing at her.😎👍👍👍👍👍👍

Remember when drive on beach for free , seems now $20 day , not sure if multi entry all day , Was great fun buy picnic food set up chair enjoy the breeze , $20 spoils that a bit 😩😩😢😢
I remember back in the 80s when the pier was even longer, before they took much of it down for being a danger during hurricanes. It had ads all over it for like Dominos pizza and stuff lol. Used to hang out at the arcade that would have been on the boardwalk about 100 yards or less up the beach over Will's leftshoulder.
