Teunissen won stage 1 of the 2019 TdF on this bike, too! Memorable day on the tour. I've been curious about this bike ever since. Thanks for the review, Matt.
Bianchis are the coolest of cool bikes - discuss. Ok, discussion over. The heritage and that fantastic colour, celeste. Owning one is on my bucket list and time is running out so do me a deal, Sigma. When I get one I'll book a room with it.
I had a sempre a few years back and the frame was agile but also nice on long distances. Remember though that the bike manufacture is rarely beyond a framset so essentially you like the frame as the other bits are on lots of bikes.
@@glennoc8585 It's just that bit too far to go, ride there, ride for 3 hours then ride back. And I can do a supermarket run in Spain, much cheaper. Ps, screw Brexit!

The first time I rode Countervail carbon, I thought it was just marketing b.s., but I got 500m down the road and had to stop and check that my tyres weren't soft as I couldn't feel the usual road vibration. Is really noticeable through corners too - tracks so much truer. Descending is true and fast as well. Run it with high-tech, supple tyres and it is Wow!.
What I want to know, Matt, is this: where did that Patagonia hoody come from, did you unfurl it from a jersey pocket, your team support or neutral service vehicle?
RepsacZ when your looking at bikes where the frame is 4500 dollars what could be wrong ? It’s like doing a review of the latest Ferrari and what would be your complaint , it doesn’t have a back seat ?
Most internet reviewers aren't going to be critical because they have to keep a good relationship with vendors in order to keep getting the latest models lended to them.
Are the world Tour teams choosing a certain brand because they feel they are the best for them or are they chosen for commercial reasons ?. I do not recall Bianchi at the 22 tour which is interesting - as I recall Mitchelton Scott using them in '21. The colour I remember is called celeste. I seem to remember Ullrich wearing that jersey awhile ago. Good review I thought.
@@greedfox7842 LOL that is definitely a colour combination approach - would never have thought of matching a handgun to a bike..! Then again living in Australia there's no such opportunity to have one, or to be honest, need one - matching or not!

Bianchi in celeste- classic, elegant... just a thing of beauty!
