Goranger is actually more fun to watch than 1971 Kamen rider.
And 1985 Bioman.
I finished watching all of Goranger and it is pretty good for what will become the big 3 of Tokusatsu heroes. The show is also not afraid of taking risks like having member changes and Daigoro KIA. Although in real life, Hatakeyama Baku took his own life due to depression after Goranger ended a few years later. The Goranger Team also behave like a spy and military team rather than the later sentai teams who are made of various walks of life which are probably inspired by Kamen Rider and Cyborg 009.
Toei did not take itself seriously in the Super Sentai franchise starting from Goranger that cast members are replaced due to personal or other commitments like Kiranger's replacement, Battle Cosack's death, Vul Eagle's replacement but the one that shot Toei in the foot was Bioman since Yellow Four actress was replaced after 9 episodes without reasons and it became kinda an urban legend of what happened to her in the Tokusatsu world. I think after that, Toei decided that the actors in a series are not to be replaced on a whim unless it is really serious as this will confuse many viewers who will tune into the show every week.

One thing I love about Tokusatsu is the use of miniature sets, it's especially fun to watch giant Kaiju and Giant Heroes battle it out among a small scale city, landscape, or urban area.
1000% I especially use miniatures in shows like Gorenger.
Currently Gorenger is being referenced in Drama Highschools Heroes where the protagonist is a gorenger fan and forms a hero club at school until strange things happen and monsters appear. Akared gives the protagonist a lot of advice during the series

How many seires tired to chash in on its success.
Many tried to duplicate the success, but few were able to fully capitalize on it the way Toei did.
I liked the first half of the Gorenger Series. The second half had too many goofy looking Kaijin. It was hard to take the "Black Cross" organization seriously as the villains. They were not in the same league as "Shocker", "DARK", "Destron", or "SIGMA".

Actually I found a commercial showing that the first time Goranger returned was in an Ohranger/B-Fighter crossover stage show.

I laughed seeing these monsters
1000%! The over-the-top designs and lively personalities of some of the mask monsters were by far one of the best aspects of the second half of Gorenger.
@@JapanHero Fun fact about the Masked Monsters(Kamen Kaijin):
The designs were never ordered by the scriptwriters. Ishimori drew the designs and the scriptwriters picked what they liked from the drawings and write the script afterwards.
And also, Ishimori made the designs gimmicky to differentiate the Masked Monsters with the Kaijin from Kamen Rider Stronger, which he also worked on.
