I could cry at how beautiful this whole episode was! Every pattern is a home run, and the way you spoke about each book made me think so fondly of some of my own all time favorite books. What a wonderful gift to give us on YOUR birthday!
What a fun video!! As a former "library kid", seeing the absolute joy on your face as you describe the books that got you into reading was so touching and made me think of my early favorites 🥲 Can't wait to see more knitting and bookish things!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHITNEY! This was such a marvelous idea for a video!! Thank you!! Love hearing about these books and the patterns that you have paired with them. Excellent! ❤
I absolutely love The Phantom Tollbooth. I highly recommend the audiobook, too, narrated by David Hyde Pierce (Niles from Fraser). I can’t tell you how many times we listened to it on road trips when my kids were young. (Julie B. Jones is also hilarious on audio) Love the knits you picked. Now, I want to knit them all, especially the hoodie in red for Harriet the Spy!
the positive ease on the howl sweater works so good because of the giant suit that sophie makes! you have epic taste in books fellow library worker bestie
Hello Whitney! I really enjoy your videos. I recently knit my first sweater, the Lento, based on your recommendation. Thank you for that. My sweater turned out as well as you described. I'm very pleased.
Happy belayed Birthday! And thank you so much for this episode. I am soooo impressed about your summaries, the patterns you chose and the effort you put in it. ❤ and maybe I have to get me some books to (re)read. 😊
Happy birthday! Am absolutely squealing with delight to hear that your first favourite book was The Phantom Tollbooth. I remember that being an early favourite of mine as well. I’m also still a huge fan of anything to do with language and words to this day.
Many Happy Returns on your very special day Whitney.❤️❤️🎉 Thank you so much for sharing your books. I am currently listening to The Shadow of the Wind and I was so happy to hear your take on the book. I found this audiobook quite by accident ? it wasn’t on my radar but I’m hooked. The patterns you picked for this book are beautiful and I added them and a quite a few others to my list on Ravelry. I do hope in the future you will do another similar video. Thank you so much. 💕 Christine
Thank you so much!!! I had so much fun doing this video and I really enjoyed the creativity of it so I can see myself doing more videos like this in the future ☺️
Happy Birthday Whitney, I enjoy your videos so much, and this was no exception. I am not a fan of fantasy but I am going to give The Starless Sea a go. My grand daughter loves it too. Greetings from Ontario
Great video Whitney! I added the Sugarplum crop to my list of potential tops to knit for wearing over dresses. I finally started reading ACOTAR and I’m wondering why I didn’t pick it up sooner. Hope you are having a very happy birthday! 🥳
Hi Whitney, I finally had the chance to sit down for a while and watch your video😍I really liked it! We could definitely tell how passionate and enthusiastic you were, about your books and I think your sweater pairings were spot on! Of course I knew ACOMAF was coming, but what can we say it's just a wonderful book isn't it😂 Also I know it has been quite some time, but happy birthday, hope you had a good day and my wish for you is to read many many more books that you'll love so much, you wanna make sweaters for all of them!😘😘 okay see you next time!
Hi Whitney, I so enjoyed your premise for this video. Just so much fun! I loved The Phantom Tollbooth too but read it as an adult. I read it to my grandson. So much fun. I wonder if you read any classics? Also I love your bedroom. So pretty and calm. Are your walls periwinkle ? I love that! I have that in my bathroom. 😊❤😊 Thank you !
Thank you! It's such a good book ❤️ I read a lot of classics in university so I don't read them much anymore, but I like the odd classic now and then. Our bedroom is a greyish purple 💜
Hi, I also work in a library but in Sweden . I got curious about your title, librarian technician. What kind of work do you do that differ from a librarian? My title is library educator according to Google translate. My focus is on storytelling for small children and to inspire school kids to read. I also have reading circles for adults.
The difference between a librarian and a library technician is really about what school program you take and if you want to be a manager. In my library, the librarians do research and managerial work, us library technicians do cataloguing, digitizing, and working with financial accounts.
