Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!

Great video. Your baby girl has you under control!
Great job Nathan, ferrule children 🤣😂🤣keep em comin🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
That new 40 acres is working out great!
She has good, clean dirt,on her face!
Have you ever considered a central tire inflation system for your planter ? Other farms seem to like them.
Probably has been atleast 30 years or more since that Field was worked just like the Field over by me at the Church
Curious to see how that starter vs no starter trial actually comes out, around here a lot of guys are not putting starter on, saying it doesnt pay and that the early yellowing of the corn is all cosmetic
Yikes!!! two things I never did, moldboard plow or chisel plow in the spring.... but, I get what you're dealing with... still not ideal...
What about the one that was pushing out water
We know your boots got covered in chicken poo, but those white shoes should only be worn on your JD riding mower… shout out to all the suburban dads getting it done on the weekends :)
I haven't been able to bring myself to put the boots back on yet.
Looks like your daughter ate something she really enjoyed!! lol. Good for her
Right?? :D Too cute.
How’s the temp on 8430 doing since the incident with it?
Good luck with that not working. That will never level out.
We just had a 5 inch rain here the other day. The tilled fields have washouts everywhere. Them farmers should be embarrassed at how that land looks. Water is brown in the rivers, dirt going down the river. If people cant see the difference between them fields, you must be a idiot. The no till fields with cover crops, no washing. The government should mandate no tilling for everyone. You will eventually get a big rain and your land will look the same way.
Good Morning
