    What a lovely video. I live just down the road from the camp site and walk past most days with my little dog. Yes I know I am very lucky!

      Thanks Marty for the positive feedback. I hope you have a great ride. - For one reason or another, I've just not been able to create any content for a while, BUT I'm really hoping that I can become active again in the very near future, so please stay tuned!

    Enjoyed both installments of this film. Lovely scenery and a very relaxed vibe. That low fog hanging over Canal Camping was mysterious and quite beautiful. Thanks for these vids.

      Yes, the mist was eerie and wonderful. First rain in Norfolk for weeks!! ATB

    Such a lovely video, my grandparents live in Ormesby Saint Margaret so near the broads, your videos have really inspired me to get a canoe of my own and do some of your adventures, as every one of your videos are so great and relaxing and really make me feel happy, so thank you very much and have a great day 😁

    Hi I worked at canal camp site I remember you staying, flying your drone what a lovely 2 part video it's so lovely to see. The 1st part to the lock can be challenging but also a adventure ( best to get out on the right and relaunch on the right heading out at the lock ) Happy paddling All the best for future adventures, Mitch

    It’s my local river which I’ve canoed for many years. The irony of places like Canal Camping and the Dilham Pods is that this lovely peaceful and once secretive river is now busy and noisy over the summer and much of the wildlife has been disturbed. Also Honing is pronounced to rhyme with roaming.

      Thanks Andrew (or is it Steve?) for your comment. It's a real shame that human population growth simply continues... always at the expense of nature. More and more people are everywhere.

    Love your videos. We had a classic cruiser just off wayford bridge for a while and i kayaked up the Dillam Canal. There used to be a spooky old boathouse on left, as you start the canal. Beautiful Canoe. Thank you for sharing .

      That's interesting about the boathouse! I didn't spot that! Thanks for watching

    This is my favourite local, nice and wildlife full, my grump is having to pay to pass through dilham canal though.

    Lovely. It's a bit of a portgage, but if you take the boat to the bottom of the field, a short path will allow you to cut out Honing lock. I never know which is preferable. though.......
    Honing lock is a lovely spot for grass snakes in the sun 🙂

      Thanks for the info Laurie. I did think about that, but it's a long way to carry the canoe!

    Whacky races on SUPs he's gotta be joking or someone's taking their job a tad seriously. Great to be able to paddle up to a canp site, looks like a lovely adventure 👌👌

    • @divum
      @divum  2 роки тому +1

      The Ranger meant that powered vessels were going too fast around the paddlers not the SUPs. (He was also a British Canoe Union member). He was describing the behaviour of the boats around the SUPs, not the paddlers....but I was a bit confused too at first....

    Hi Divum me and my dad completed the pedlars way today over course of 2 days - we loved it! Thanks for the inspiration, also asking if you recommend any books that have the best Norfolk or Suffolk or both bike trails? Thanks a lot Ben

      Awesome comment. I am delighted you enjoyed the cycle ride. I’m afraid I don’t have any book recommendations for cycling. I can personally recommend the Marriott Way, The Weavers way and the Bure Valley railway path from Wroxham to Aylsham. Better still, look at my videos that cover these routes. Thanks. Andrew
