Where was this? I saw Vickers that year in Miami in this part, but I don’t remember Stratas or Stewart being part of the cast. Meanwhile, I think Stratas is overlooked in any discussion of great singing actresses. Would love to hear her Ave Maria in this piece.

Visually she was probably a Desdemona of one's dreams but she sounds pretty inaudible here. For my taste the role seems 2 sizes too big for her
