It makes me laugh that you say your wife would be after you because I have the opposite situation. I keep fish and shrimp and I do stuff like this in my kitchen all the time and my husband is always after me lol!
Hi finally a fishtuber that knows what there doing and gives good advice that is in the UK... Thanks for this and will it be ok to put in a Betta tank?
sir, as always great video. thank you for the information you provide. HUGE HELP & always looking forward to the next. also when you receive shrimp how long of a period do you chalk losses up to the move and shipping? Thanks in advance sir.
Hi Lucas. if you acclimate them correctly you should be ok. Saying that, if the shrimp are adult you may lose one or two as they don't like being moved so much. If you do buy shrimp get the smaller ones as they are more tolerant with water change ok.
First time I've seen these ingredients used.. very well done.. ty.. do you take out what they don't eat after an hour or two..? And so you'd keep that mixture in the freezer? Cheers.. well done mate!
And spinach.. one of the highest in calcium. Calcium very important for shrimp.. a Japanese shrimp keeper once told me you don't want to feed too much protein too often cause it makes them turn into carnivores and they get aggressive toward their mates. Calcium on the other hand is what they use to rebuild their shells.
Ok. Has your aquarium got a lot of algae in it.? If so they will be feeding on that and the biofilm so wont be that hungry . Don't feed them for a week and then put some food in.👍😀
Thanks for all you do, you're my favorite UA-cam Naturalist
Mark, thks for the video. Interesting. I used to add beefheart to my discus DIY food, do you think it can be applied to shrimps too?
Do i have to store them in a freezer? Or just store the food in cool dry area ?
Must be Welsh top man Mark keep it up.Jeff

Maybe parchment would be easier to work with. Thanks for all the precious information. Excellent!
I love those yellow shrimp! Mark were did you get that really wide bore bamboo? I can't find it on eBay. 🦐
Hi Deanne. I got mine from B&Q..
Was it just a massive bamboo cane, or sold as something else?
Just a big cane.
MARK'S AQUATICS cool!

Lacy Snow Hi Lacy. Store it in your freezer until you need it.

shrimp vs avacato? what about beet greens, or kale?
I feed my shrimp avocado leaves, and kale is fantastic for shrimp full of calcium. 😀

I have new shrimp how can I feed them so they can see the food
You can put the food in a small glass dish.

Sometimes when there aren't alot of shrimp they don't always eat right. You can also just feed small amounts of powder.
