He is seen burying his victims while she does house chores, she listens to him play piano, but when she sees him so nonchalantly just dismiss the police and concerned citizens looking for the missing people, she decides to leave. If he can lie to them so easily, how can she trust him? She can't do it. Can't leave. She loves him. Comes back. Sees him indulging in his favorite pass time(drinking the blood of his victims) as he thinks he's lost her. She now fully sees him for what he is. A monster. She can't take it. When he runs off to curse at the heavens for not waiting for her to come back, but just goes on a bit of a binge and inadvertently shows her his worst side, she goes in a bathtub and slits her wrists with the blade she used so often to cut the thread when fixing his clothes. Basically, he serves as a decoy and sacrifices himself so that they don't look elsewhere and find her by chance. And now, rewind to the beginning of the video. She, now in the white dress she wore to the bathtub, walks around a now empty house, reminiscing on what took place(shown very skillfully by him only showing up in certain scenes once she passes through a specific point on the screen that triggers a memory in her). She recollects how he kept away from hurting her by feeding on others, even though she's right there. The easiest prey. How he was always hiding his monstrous nature when with her. How he only did what was best for her in his twisted vampiric way showing her as much love as a vampire can show to a human. She knows they dragged him away and that he was burnt to dust by the morning sun and consciously decides to follow him wherever vampires go after their second death. Leaving this world the same way he did. Its a typical Romeo and Juliet type of tragic story of doomed lovers, done brilliantly, doubling the amount of story in the same amount of screen time through a few tricks like the aforementioned flashback trigger moments in specific scenes or the time skips allowing us, the viewers, to only see the important moments. @@BradAndLex Yeah, he died of a drug overdose. His wife passed from cancer and he ended up overdosing and dying. He was their guitarist, from 2010 to 2020. He meant everything to the band, so it hit everyone hard.
What I take as meaning from him letting the mob take him has two possibilities. In one hand, Ronnie is singing about addiction, which causes you to downward spiral and takes everyone close to you down with you (him turning her into a vampire). Him letting the mob take him is him trying to save her from himself/the repercussions he's created for himself with his addiction. Similarly, since the song is stylized from a vampire viewpoint, he let's the mob take him to keep them from finding her. The original song was about drug addiction, they remade it and it completely changed they whole tone of the song. They did the same thing with The Drug In Me Is You and then The Drug In Me Is Reimagined. The lady in the revamped version is his girlfriend, Paige from the WWE. Derek was a band member that passed away. I highly recommend checking out the trilogy in order (Losing My Mind, Losing My Mind, Drugs), as well as both versions of The Drug In Me Is You. You will be surprised by the trilogy, for sure!
The scream makes me cry because the person who introduced me to the song is an addict! And I see that person suffer in the addiction mindset, so when he starts screaming, you can hear the pain in his voice. There needs to be more education on addicts and how even though they choose to experiment with drugs, as most people do (alcohol and weed in high school/college) they do not know that they will become addicted. And after that, it is no longer a choice, its a coping mechanism with most times an undiagnosed mental health issues being the source of addiction. It is self-medication. Trauma is usually the root cause of addiction. I love your channel and how y'all go right into the reactions and being open minded to different genres of music and ideas! You guys are awesome!
Something you said, "idk how they come up with that in their head" i really think that music, particularly solo's is just an extension of the flow. If your not familliar with what im saying, its like when your listning to your favorite song and you just cant help but move your body, and your body just does what the music tells it. Except when you know an instrument intimently you can transition that into the flow of music. So as they play the riff's and theyre just jamming along with what they know, the solo just is a natural extension. Im not good as a musician, but i have spent many hours playing with guitar, and piano, and when you get in a vibe it just flows, and you might not realize it but all of a sudden its 2 o'clock in the morning and you have a whole new song. Its all about flow.
Listen to the lyrics to answer your questions at the end. That climax where he is cry screaming his pain, and earlier on the cliff edge when he is singing about goign to hell and taking her with him. At teh end he has doomed her to his fate to become the monster. Also, far as I can tell she is never a ghost, the video plays with time. When she wakes up on the bed at start of video, that is when she is first turned to vampire. Rest of it is her memory of her life with him, and seeing what she missed. In the end she relieves his fate on the cliff and burns as well just as he did.
Going from my own mental health struggles.... he let them take him because he was just done. "If home is where my heart is then my heart has lost all hope" If you have no hope left, when your heart has nothing in it but pain and self destruction you have nothing, you simply exist and existing gets exhausting
He sacrificed himself up to let her fully transform into vampire. The video was her living in memories and she killed herself later they didn't die together.
Another (admitedly less known) band that has a strong theatrical vibe is The Dear Hunter. Much of their discography is concept albums telling the story of a man from the world war one era. If you want a song that covers their general vibe, check out "A Night On the Town" which is kind of a medley of their overall sound. It's more progressive rock than metal. The four from "The Flame (is gone," "The Fire (remains)," "The March," and "Blood" also tell an incredible part near the end of the story.
Just hop in the rabbit hole. Trust me... just do it... YOU KNOW YALL ARE CURIOUS AF NOW!!Welcome to the RADKE EFFECT!!! Such a down to earth person and a phenominal artist. Just subbed by the way!! Yall are a vibe!!!
I have so many good things to say about this. I’m about to watch it for the 2nd time. I love when people find out that they’re metal fans too, it’s awesome. I listen to that more than hip hop
To me, this is about addiction, lyrics like “it’s coursing through my veins “ “chemical daze” “when did I become so cold” etc. What I get from this song, between the original and the revamped, is that the original is the unapologetic, party animal rockstar, having fun. But in denial.. “I’m not an addict”/“I’m not a vampire “. In it he’s not thinking about what impact it has on his life and on others. The revamped to me is a more mature look back at his addiction and how he didn’t think he was a monster but in reality he truly was and Paige (his irl girlfriend “Saraya”), I believe is a representation of how much he hurt those around him with his actions. In the video, when she walks in on him, he runs away ashamed. She kills herself in sadness over who he really is. When the Lynch mob comes, I think that’s his resignation, his giving up because he acknowledges how much he’s hurt those around him that he loved the most. BUT... I think it’s also a love story and I think it’s to pay homage to Derek Jones and his fiancé. Derek Jones was his best friend and the guitarist. He died last year after his fiancé passed away from cancer. Anyway, that’s just my take on it.
I absolutely love your reactions!!! Brad, you bring an awesome point of view and mature way of thinking about some of the topics you two discuss. Lex, you also bring a unique perspective and I LOVE when something really shocks you, and you get that huge smile. You both are awesome. I also have to pay a compliment to Lex, you probably hear this all of the time from Brad and other followers of your channel, you have to be one of the most beautiful people on the internet. Keep up the good work guys!!
If you can't tell already, there is a DEEP rabbit hole to fall into with Ronnie and FIR. 😂 I truly wish I could experience it for the first time again.
Can't wait until you do The Drug in Me is You and The Drug in Me is Reimagined. You're going to love it!! One thing to know about Ronnie is he doesn't do anything simple. He likes to be the trailblazer. His music videos are like small movies that suck you in. If you want to a little insight of Ronnie's background, you should check out the trilogy- Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, and Drugs, in that order. His older music is great as well, Born to Lead and Broken are a couple of less requested songs, but are a couple of my favorites from FIR :)
Yessssssss!!!! Y’all did the right way! Fun fact, the woman in the video is his girlfriend WWE star Paige. Dwayne “the Rock”Johnson made a true story movie about her called “Fighting with my Family”
Another 🔥 reaction! Subbed. I think you will really enjoy Ez Mil. Please give this Filipino independent artist a shot on your channel. One reaction turns into more because he is so talented. He raps, sings, dances, makes his own beats, plays piano, guitar, and drums, and directs and edits his own videos. He’s crosses many genres, a true independent artist, and he’s only 22. Please react to Ez Mil’s, Panalo Live on the Wish Bus, that now has 56 Million views. Thank you. God Bless.
heheh Lex, I still stay up late but, with a family, I now get up around 6 (granted, I have 3 years and they will all be out of the house). I just seem to need less sleep as I get older but I'm much older than you . That first one would be more of a mosh pit type dance (IMHO). Stand in a large group and hop up and down making sure to bump into those around you Black Sabbath is also a rock band. Revamped is a lighter sound but much darker feel. Next Falling in Reverse I think you'd like is "The drug in me is you" and "The drug in me reimagined". Derek Jones was a band member. His wife died of cancer and he died of undisclosed reasons shortly after.
i cant wait until you do "the drug in me is you", and then "the drug in me is reimagined" which is like this, were Ronnie takes one of his old songs and re does it without changing any words.....its fire
Derick Jones was the guy shredding on the guitar in the first music video. he was the one that picked Ronnie up from prison and started FiR with him. He only died recently
About dancing to it: Just do what feels right, at these concerts you'll find people headbanging, you'll find mosh pits and you'll find people just losing their shit and moving their bodies how they want. I've been to raves; metal, rock, reaggae, hiphop, dancehall, electro and goa concerts and I haven't found a community as chill and welcoming as metalheads. The wacken festival is on the surface a weekend full of heavy biker type people but at it's core it's just people enjoying the music and no-one feeling like they need to start shit or one-up someone (could be because if there are a lot of grim looking biker dudes you'll think twice before acting like an ass but oh well).
I said it on Popular Monster and I will say it again, I love that you are doing FIR!! The ReVamped version is dedicated to Derek Jones, their guitarist. Derek passed in April of last year just 6 months after his fiance passed from cancer. I believe this video depicts that, as she dies shortly after him. P.S. The girl in the ReVamped version is Saraya aka Paige from WWE. She is Ronnie's (lead singer) real-life girlfriend.
Derek was his guitar player....and he calls his music ronnie cause its all him..its not just metal its everything. We gotta lift him up cause their sleeping on our boy ronnie💙❤💙❤

I so hope you react to these!! I would love to watch your reaction! The lead singer can sing and scream really awesome!
Guys Black Sabath is the rock group from many years ago with Ozzy Osbourne there a great group and look at you taking it all the way back 2012 Ronnie Radke the singer wrote this and the rest of the album in prison. He was first with Escape the Fate now he's Falling in Reverse and Brad find the beat just move your head and feel it you'll find the rythym Lex is doing good follow her
Black Sabbath is a rock band. Ozzy Osborne & Ronnie James Dio were part of it. Not the Christian Sabbath. Also, 'Reimagined'/'Revamped' means it a re-recorded version of an original song by them. I would also recommend you check out 'The Drug In Me Is You' & 'The Drug In Me Is Reimagined.' The girl in the second vid (INAVR) is his gf Saraya (Paige). She used to wrestle for WWE. Ronnie is actually classically trained in opera. Also another fun fact is that INAVR was shot in Ronnie's house. Derek Jones was their guitar player. He passed last year. I sub'd
My take on the revamped video is that ronnie's wife wakes up as a vampire and wonders the mansion alone(wich is actually Ronnie's and paige's house) kinda reliving the moments that lead to her suicide and then being turned. I think ronnie didnt fight back in the video so they would take him and leave her alone to fully turn and come back. And then at the end through loneliness and grief she commits suicide again the same way the villagers killed ronnie by the sun so she could be with him forever again. So its basically like 2 timelines happening st the same time wich is why you see her in white watching her past self. Edit: I forgot to say paige the woman in the video is his actual girlfriend a wwe wrestler called paige😁
Watching her realize she’s a metal head is glorious.
If you liked that one, then you'd like their other song remake, "The Drug in Me is You" and "The Drug in me is Reimagined".

In this song, Black Sabbath refers to a 70's rock band.
"If home is where my heart is then my heart has lost all hope"
If you have no hope left, when your heart has nothing in it but pain and self destruction you have nothing, you simply exist and existing gets exhausting
I'm SO glad you did these back to back!
You guys have to do the trilogy in order it’s great.
Losing my mind
Losing my life
Drugs
He sacrificed himself up to let her fully transform into vampire. The video was her living in memories and she killed herself later they didn't die together.
Another (admitedly less known) band that has a strong theatrical vibe is The Dear Hunter. Much of their discography is concept albums telling the story of a man from the world war one era. If you want a song that covers their general vibe, check out "A Night On the Town" which is kind of a medley of their overall sound. It's more progressive rock than metal. The four from "The Flame (is gone," "The Fire (remains)," "The March," and "Blood" also tell an incredible part near the end of the story.
i love watching her reaction the fact she likes this and knows so much vamp lore friken awesome
Derek Jones was a member of Falling in Reverse who passed away not long before that music video was shot
Two completely different vibes on these tracks. Pretty cool
I have so many good things to say about this. I’m about to watch it for the 2nd time. I love when people find out that they’re metal fans too, it’s awesome. I listen to that more than hip hop
I LOVED HER REACTION! I'm a huge vampire diaries and a falling in reverse fan, so when I saw this I was screaming in my heart!
Ronnie is doing a virtual concert tonight and another completely different one in two weeks. Y'all should check it out!
Yes...Yessssss.... you guys are hooked on metal... This is just the beginning
20:23 Lex just straight vibin while Brad is like 0_0
If you can't tell already, there is a DEEP rabbit hole to fall into with Ronnie and FIR. 😂 I truly wish I could experience it for the first time again.
Omg I’m so happy you did this I love the revamped so much
Can't wait until you do The Drug in Me is You and The Drug in Me is Reimagined.
Stand in a large group and hop up and down making sure to bump into those around you
Black Sabbath is also a rock band.
Revamped is a lighter sound but much darker feel.
Next Falling in Reverse I think you'd like is "The drug in me is you" and "The drug in me reimagined".
Derek Jones was a band member. His wife died of cancer and he died of undisclosed reasons shortly after.
I had goosebumps the whole time you two were reacting to Revamped!
I will now follow you because of the reaction from Lex, LOVE that you love the talent and feeling, the drug in me is you, both og and revamped ♥️
Halestorm: I Miss the Misery
Halestorm: Love Bites (So Do I)
Halestorm: Mz Hyde
Halestorm: Freak Like Me
Yes yes yes! Pretty pretty please.
😍😍😍
Lex really gets it, you can't fake that excitement :)
i cant wait until you do "the drug in me is you", and then "the drug in me is reimagined" which is like this, were Ronnie takes one of his old songs and re does it without changing any words.....its fire
You don't have to think about how to dance to it Brad, just move a little to the rhythm and you're golden! *and have fun with it*
I love how much Lex loved that video.
You should check out the guy who wrote and played the orchestral music for the revamped version. His name is Sean Rooney. Amazing dude. 😊❤
Maturity in Ronnie's voice and band has risen to the top....
lets goooo TRILOGY TIME
Absolutely the Trilogy is amazing Losing My Mind then Losing My Life then Drugs
Derek was the guitarist for the squad. That sick solo from the orig is him.
So happy y'all reacted to these ❤️
Derick Jones was the guy shredding on the guitar in the first music video. he was the one that picked Ronnie up from prison and started FiR with him.
That's so cool that you just stumbled across these in the correct order and actually did them both.
😆😆 right that was awesome
Black Sabbath is also a band. A CLASSIC metal band.
I loved your reactions!! This was the first song I heard by this band back in my freshman year high school days 🤘🏽🤘🏽
It’s about addiction. Once you understand that, the words make sense.
FALLING IN REVERSE - THE DRUG IN ME IS YOU and THE DRUG I. ME IS REIMAGINED.... Both drug in me is you and im not a vampire are from their 1st album in 2011 and reim9and revamped versions were done now for tge fans
Hahaha, girl almost lost her shit over that guitar solo! And the GH comment... challenge accepted.
I have to watch a movie with Lex after that reaction. A two hour virtual mix up would be awesome.
I don't think there is anything with being a night owl Lex. Perfectly fine to embrace it.
derek jones was falling in reverse guitarist who passed away in 2020 he was with the group since the beginning
The second song is absolutely masterpice and the video two 🔥🔥🔥
You liked this 2 video comparison. He has another song that has a "10 years later" remake. Very similar to the contrast in vampire songs. So the original is called ""drug in me is you"" and the (amazing) remake is called ""drug in me is reimagined""...
Loved your reaction and I agree with you Brad I like the revamped version better. You make me laugh when you say screamo Lex so funny. I would love to see you do Jinjer - Pisces that song Lex wait until you hear her angelic voice WOW you must check that out.
Ooooh, and The Bird and the Worm by The Used! My husband and I enjoy watching y'all's videos together!
They did the same thing with "The Drug In Me Is You"!
I just discovered a great new band along with you. Thank you
He’s doing a live stream concert this Friday!
a remarkable vocalist
If you guys haven't seen it, Dracula on Netflix rules as far as a good vampire miniseries goes. This reminded me of it and kinda wanna watch it again
So awesome that you watched both. :) The Drug In Me Is Reimagined is fire too.
Good call on interview with a vampire vibes. Also Black Sabbath is ozzy Osborne’s band from the 70s
If you want to hear some really excellent screamo then react to a band called "Close Your Eyes", and watch the videos "Valleys", "Song for the broken", "Keep the lights on", "the body"!
I so hope you react to these!! I would love to watch your reaction! The lead singer can sing and scream really awesome!
Derek was one of the guitarists of falling in reverse he passed away recently
I sub'd
For sure gotta do the trilogy next. losing my mind, losing my life, drugs
