Is the problem due to being a gased gun or the barrel and setup, Have you tried reloading some rounds and testing it. I asked about the AR uppers because I do not want to be stuck with a rifle that I can only buy the parts from Lochhart. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the vides
@@gustavohonzofo Try some and you should be amazed. I built a rifle in 6mmxc and my groups are tiny. Under 1 Moa for the most part is more than enough to do what the average person is going to need out of this thing. I am considering one of these rifles and just wish I would have many more options for uppers and such. Thank you for getting back to me. Bradley
Great Video! Not sure if this was asked already but how long did it take them before they ship it to you? Currently the estimate time on their website is still 4-6 weeks but I hope it's shorter than that.
I just found RDSC is selling a new version of the lockhart tactical raven 556 come with 18.60 "MWMATCH-MOD2 barrel. Is this a good barrel and solve existing problems?
So I’m guessing you’ve got a non adjustable gas block? It makes sense with the 223 ammo. It under less pressure than the 556. Once you find an adjustable one you’ll be golden. Is the new barrel .650. Check out optics planet. They are one of the few American places that are able to ship to canada
Good tip, it is 0.650. Yeah it's non adjustable. I was thinking about maybe opening up the port a bit. After firing its perfectly centered on the gas port and not leaking. I left all other components the same. So maybe my gas port is a little undersized.
Before grabbing the drill try to give MRA a call or email. Tell them what’s up and see what they suggest. If 556 is running great…. hate to end up over gassed. Just a suggestion.
Waiting on mine as well. Ordered 2 Dec. Really loving the last two videos (both negative about the barrel) in the last 48hrs. When did you order yours?
I got mine just after the gen 2 bolt carrier fiasco. I have been pretty consistent on my stance. I think it's an okay rifle, but it's definitely not perfect. I don't really like being lied to, and others don't either. I know I'm a pretty negative character, but for the price of a very high-end ar15, I would have the expectation that it would be almost perfect. I don't really know if that was a sarcastic remark or being genuine. Maybe instead of the negative, I can focus on the positive for a change on the next video.
Was asking about the order date to@@gustavohonzofo . As for the other portion of the comment, I was being sarcastic about loving the negative videos, but I do appreaciate them! Just takes a bit of wind outta my sails, but I am still excited to get it. I appreaciate honest reviews, I don't want high fives and chocolate cake, that wouldn't be as helpful as your video is, so genuinely, thank you for the content.
Well I appreciate it, I got mine off of the secondary market unfired. So I didn't have to order it. I knew there is a significant wait time and wanted it now. I'm not saying it's bad in comparison to others on the market. It just has some flaws and is definitely not perfect for the price point.

I changed it to a 20" with a rifle length system and works flawlessly now
@@gustavohonzofo have you tried some reloads? Those groups should shrink when you do. Does the gun jump a lot due to the gas system?
No, I shot 6 different factory loads and they all shot bad. The groups got better when I swapped the barrel

I appreciate the advice, other people had barrel issues with these so I'm not super hopeful
Wow! Almost a whole pound weight difference?? Yeah that was a really smart swap dude!
Yeah it's a significant amount, especially at the end of a gun.
Nice results! Where did you end up finding a compatible barrel?
Off the secondary market

Got it off the used market so no wait time
My question is we’re you able to sell the original barrel to recoup some cost?
Some, I sold it at a loss because I was honest.

Unfortunately I have no idea. Sorry
I think OneSorryCanadian (not 100% sure) had his serviced by RDSC, it barely worked until he sent it to them. RDSC knows what they’re doing too.

I will do that thanks
Got to try some more accuracy test, they are great keep up the great content.
Optics planet can ship to Canada???
Looks like I know what my first modification to my Raven will be after it arrives. lol
Maybe just see how it shoots first. Pencil barrels are hard to come by.

Do ar15 upper fit these rifles!
No but the rest of the parts will, bolt, barrel handguard ect.
I have not seen any evidence of someone getting 0.5" groups with a stock Raven. But the claim is there haha
Yeah when I contacted lockhart they told me that lie. And I will be happy with that barrel haha
