@jimmlunn The canoe is an Ally 611. It's 450cm long and 94cm wide. There's no problem in getting two people and three weeks worth of gear into it, or four people with fishing equipment. In my experience it's an insanely durable boat. We've been pulling this around on land with stuff packed into it without anything worse than markings. All you have to look out for is very sharp pointy objects that is facing the wrong way. Other than that, rocks and whatnot is not a real problem.
Thank you! The canoe is actually ideal for me as I drive a VW Golf without a tow ball I really enjoy just putting it in the back and be off. And since I live in the middle of a city there is no good place for me to store a regular canoe. It handles waves very well as it kinda climbs or rolls over them. It's surprisingly sturdy and easy to fix. The only one I've ever heard anyone break is the one I broke (see the video). I would definitely recommend it to anyone. A bit sensetive to winds though.
Tack! Vad jag förstått har antalet björn runtomkring Rogen. Jag har själv hittat spillning, men det har inte oroat mig något nämnvärt så jag bär inga vapen. Känns det jobbigt kan man tälta på en ö (även om björn förstås kan simma), det brukar kännas bättre. Annars är det att vara uppmärksam, tänk på matförvaringen och var inte för tyst när du rör dig i området. God resa!
@mvmnt74 Yeah, I did. I actually came back yesterday from another visit there, but dropped in from Kärringsjövallen - the parking space before Kärringsjön. I've been going there annually the last few years because of it's sheer awesomeness.
@drtisbeter It takes about twenty minutes to set up once it has been assembled for a day or so. After a couple of days you don't even need the hammer Bergans supply with the canoe. There's an instruction video called "Ally Falboot Montageanleitung". I think it's the same that is supplied on DVD with the boat. A take down takes just a few minutes if you're in a hurry.

Haha! Ja, jag missade ett ord: Vad jag föstått har antalet björn i området _ökat_. Men det är också allt jag vet. Ingen koll alls på antal. Jag har absolut inte sett björnspillning varje gång jag varit där, vilket är lite mer än en gång per år de senaste fyra åren. Den längsta tiden jag spenderat där vid ett tillfälle var tre veckor. Jag är alltid där i början av september, då björnen börjar bli som mest aktiv inför övervintringen. (september till oktober). Räkna inte med att få fisk.
Du skriver at så vidt du har forstået har antallet af bjørn ??? Du mangler vidst et ord. ?? Kender du til antallet i området? Og ja at telte på en ø kunne være en god ide hvis man skulle blive lidt paranoid... Har du set spillning på alle dine ture i området eller hur?? Hvad er den længste periode du har opholdt dig i Rogen/Femundsmarka?
