Depends, if the plane is parked for months, best way to warm up the engine is taxiing. You don't want the engine to blow on you after takeoff especially on a cold start and putting on max thrust. But surely it does take a lot of fuel. And fuel isn't cheap.
Basement Haunter idling uses the least amount of fuel, they’re prob taxing about 10 or 15% as supposed to the 100% and then 80% when flying. Also standing still drains maybe a couple gallons.

@Mike X Nope, you wouldn't wanna put the load on a Cold engine (Engine which was off for a long period of time) directly to the max thurst for the take off, taxing is great way to warm up the engine and check if the fuel valves and various system s are fine. To drive a cab around Chicago you have to have nerves of steel, which I do not have, but I made it for 4 years.
Alot of work went into this joke.
Aviation Nut ha that’s a good one!
i've done the flight from KORD to KHPN, we like to call it White Stains because we all can't stand flying into New York because New Yorkers are the worst. i'm based in KORD and i could hear our company's callsign over metering. they were calling from the "Fox Alley" so it's still neat to hear it.
Incredible plane. I had the opportunity to see it this year in Friedrichshafen and I was blown away!!
Where’s my X-Plane 10 mobile boys at?
😂😂 we r here mate but the problem is i hava a distinct dislike for this plane in the game because its abit more sensitive to movement compared to the rest
✋🏽
The raging bull Facts 😂😂
Yeet
It’s on XP11 as well
I love flying (as a pax) in and out of ORD on small planes. It's totally goofy lining up behind giant behemoths and using like 1/4 of the runway to take off and land.
Dude, you sound exactly like Tom Cruise on the radio.
biggest compliment ive ever received! HA thank you
he actually does! lol
yeah. he does... "talk to me goose"
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one... I figured I’d scroll before I said it.
I was literally coming to the comments to say exactly the same thing. Sounds exactly like Maverick once he hits the PTT button lol
You made it look easy. I was more impressed by your navigating the airport than anything else!
El Kabong Thank you! Happy holidays.
cirrusmax Same to you!
Got my instrument a few months ago. Working on my commercial now. You and Steveo1 makes me look forward to flying something like this one day.
Great vid. Looks fun to fly. Caught me off guard when I heard myself though! Too bad I missed seeing ya!
Brian Collins oh wow! You’re a controller? Thanks for watching! Really appreciate it
cirrusmax no just a regional guy based out of ORD. Thought I heard myself so went back and looked at the flight number and it was me. Safe flying and tailwinds!
Brian Collins so cool! Thanks for watching man. Hope to have you on more videos some time!
8:47 Yes. A lot of airports require you to use a radio with an associated antenna on top of the aircraft.
Wow, FS steam edition looks really good!!
Nice calming flight, enjoy every one that you put on the books.
1:40 best start up ever man love that plane u feel like ur in a little advanced tech plane
Nice job! I hope you will upload more vids with the Vision Jet! 😊
Maybe even a detailed interior and exterior tour.🤓
yes! more videos very soon. thanks for watching
May I suggest Rain-X on your windows.
or at least not to forgot to clean the windows before the takeoff :)
rain-x pfft its for shit after a few uses the windows before cloudy its like crack you have to keep using it more and more. Here is a much better solution P&S bead maker
If you knew what went Into these windscreens, you wouldn't be rubbing rain-x on them.
@@ttss5726 is there one specifically made for glass? Or is it more all purpose?
anybody else think it's just cool to taxi big iconic airports? i wouldn't mind...
You say that now 😭
i air taxied in my robi 44 at an int airport once... lol. that was scary. i was a student. there were times i was WAY too close to jets..
I hangar at an Intl airport and it gets busy... 737...737...737....me in an RV-7. I constantly ask for an early left or right turn on departure, because I can feel the big fellas breathing down my neck😲
It’s fun the first time after that it’s just a waste of time.
When it's your fuel you're burning, no
Wow. That's an amazing glass system.
I've worked on cirrus planes before. Come a long way since 2009!
Awesome, reminds me of flying commercially before I retired.
great vid,x plane 11 has done a nice job on this one, great to see inside the real thing! and how it handles!
I was visiting my home airport tower today and the controllers had no idea what this plane was. One called it a “pregnant bonanza:” 😂
😳😂😂
Yeah!
11:43 This beautiful blue Jet is ANA(All Nippon Airline, Japan)!!!!
What a long taxi ! Beautiful flight and very sync crew
Wow....that jet is like the family runaround car......love it.
Awesome glad you enjoyed it!
I haven't even hit the 10-second mark yet as i'm watching this video and I already know it's going to be epic! Lol of course flying with Deke must be awesome too.
hahah thank you!!
Very nice job of navigating the taxiways and departure from one of the most busiest airports in the country. You fit right in with the commercial airliners. You might have provided some entertainment for them! The Vision Jet is an extremely nice airplane with Garmin G3000 PFD.
Must be an enjoyable airplane to fly!
James Wikstrom Thanks James! Appreciate your kind words
I’m so excited to watch Cirrus Vision Jet videos now!!! I can’t wait for 2 years to fly by so I can fly one!!!
Can you make longer videos at some point?? 🙏🏾😇
thank you! glad you enjoyed it! yes the next one will be longer.
cirrusmax Sweet!
23:00 i love the voice of the All Nippon Airways’ pilot.
taker- tronto gives me anime vibes
I'm so in love with this cute jet! Large windshield give way for some nice scenery to reach the eyes! Intuitive and easy to operate glass cockpit. And luxurious interior too.
Finally, a flying car!
The Jetson's have arrived! No pun intended.
Ah no
Wonderful. Beautiful video. Loved every minute of it. Fantastic aircraft. Really strong work. Thanks for sharing.
1. Awesome and congrats.
2. Your mentor seems like a great guy.....
3. When I saw the ANA 777 pull ahead of you on the taxiway, I was stunned....
Thank you! i know i was surprised about that also!
I'm impressed with your "presence" your calls & replies were on the money and undoubtedly instilled confidence of the controllers in you and your aircraft to depart enroute! Your co-/check- was a real plus and adding "useful information," "not trying to put you in your place!" Thanks for displaying some real professionalism!
Absolutely beautiful airmanship! What a dream come true for aviators who never made the big league for whatever reason. God Bless you all.
The taxi portion of this video was good to see in order to catch all the details involved with taxiing the Visionjet especially at that airport.
I've done several jobs at airports(CLT&EQY) in my concrete truck. One time at CLT I Followed a 'follow me' truck across a taxi way with commercial jets coming down it. It's always exhilarating seeing all that jet airplane traffic up close.
Lil'Yeshua Absolutely! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I think it’s a good example of what it takes and the craziness that big airport are! Thanks for watching
Are the controllers somewhat caught off guard by the fact that you are in a jet but it can't go as fast as other jets? Reminds me of when I'm approaching in a C-152 with two souls at 90 kt and tower asks me to speed up.
"Unable."
yes they are! will take some time for ATC to get use to the vision jet for sure!
@@CitationMax It was the same deal for the Eclipse when it first came out.
I've been hearing that other CirrusJet drivers are being treated like turboprops - turboprop approaches and departures, etc.
what is your usual climb speed?
I wish I was a millionaire so I could buy one of these even though I hate single engine aircraft, but it’s cool that they fitted this aircraft with a parachute system
You could just rent one for $700 an hour lmao
@@novemberdelta1282 still expensive though
Got all stressed out listening to the instructions...and I'm lying on my couch :P
Awesome video. I hope you do more videos with the Vision Jet.
I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. Just the right amount of everything. Great camera angles. Superb!
