What i really love, here, is that even in this kind of technical playing, the aim is the EMOTION, not the technic. That's why it's Art. We can feel how he is living the show. ❤ Super smart and nice !
My thoughts exactly! Purely artistic. He performs like non other I've ever witnessed! I find his abilities breathtaking! I literally came to tears with pure amazement at what I was witnessing! I was a fan in the 90's but hadn't seen him since. I'm SO GLAD that I've reintroduced myself!! Thank you for the kind words. I agree with you.
@@keithwigley1256 well Keith, your vibration must not be tuned to the needed frequency. That's about all I can tell ya. Try later at night with headphones on maybe?
Back in 1985, I was at a buddy's house with a three other non musician friends, and I was noddling on my buddy's well worn 1960ish Telecaster, when my buddy changed the TV to the Carson Tonight Show, and Stanley Jordan was the musical guest. We all sat in silence watching/listening to this unique style of playing the guitar, and when Jordan finished, everyone of us applauded a televised performance. Then one of my non musician friends asked if I could play like that. I answered by turning the amp off, and placing the guitar on it's stand.
Stanley Jordan and Michael Angelo are two guitar players to wear I don't think anybody else in the world could do they do. You can't even compare anybody to then .😮
ha ha that chic trying top dance to something that has no time signature. Amazing what you can do with effects to cover your butt. Make up any shit and people dibble all over you.
Well, unfortunately, I started recording a bit late. But you can hear him get back into the song at 2:30, then I can hear the song clearly at 3:00, then he just jams! Give it another listen!
Good to see Stanley playin out, One of the very finest masters of the fingerboard
..............Stanley Jordan is the GOAT of this style of guitar playing.... it's great to see him still out there performing

I used to play his stuff as a dj on college radio. That was early/mid eighties. Good to see he's had a long career.
I got to do sound for him back in the 1990s outside in Madison, WI. It was excellent. Just him, all by himself, just like this video. ❤
Wow! Thank you, shared.
Utterly beautiful.
Mind blown. This is amazing thank you!

Dig that girl front of the stage.
Wow, he look’s so old !
Yet he is never in the top 100 guitar lists unless they are specifically targeting jazz guitarists. Absurd.

@@RootsMusic-ek5nche’s aware of his skills, but playing it so it can be recognized doesn’t appear to be one of them
