Bought a ball to try because it was on sale at Joann. Made a hat using a J hook. It turned out fine but I had a problem because of low twist. The yarn kept splitting so I had to backtrack and slow down.
I love Hue + Me. The earthy colors are definitely my jam. II think I usually use an 8 mm hook, but I can be a tight crocheter. It washes nicely and gets softer and squishier, in my experience. I just stocked up to make 2 more blankets and a sweater.
I hate to admit I hoard this yarn lol and Color Theory too. I just adore Alexandra and the color palettes used! Hue and Me softens up some once washed. But I stick to Color Theory for garments. I haven’t gotten to use the color you have but man it’s deep and beautiful! 🧡
This yarn is on sale right now at Joann’s and I’m so glad I saw this review before I bought any. It’s beautiful but just wouldn’t work well for me. I didn’t even notice it was a wool blend. Thanks for the info!
I know they now have a massive distribution center in Georgia. There were some fairly long shipping delays earlier this year as they made the change. There is a UA-cam video tour of the new warehouse.
When It first came out, I had to handle it out of curiosity. I like the palette, but it doesn't feel nice enough for me to want to work with it. There are other yarns that have more wool, but they still feel better. Unless there is a really big sale, I probably won't end up buying this yarn. I have seen many people who love it, though.
I got that yarn when it was on sale last yarn not a fan. Ended up making a blanket. The lion brand outlet was only 20 minutes from where I live in new Jersey that was the best store. I used a size 10 hook
Thanks for another great yarn review.

That recommended hook/needle size is crazy! I’m knitting a blanket using Size 15 needles.
What’s on the yarn package is way too small. 😮

Thanks. I know they closed NJ. Such a loss.
I do love the color palette, but those are my colors. Thanks Kim! Have a great day!!!❤🤍💖
Great reviews Kim. I know I can count on you to give us an honest review. Thank you for that.
Nice review. You have a lot of yarn. TFS-Erica
I made a bulky cozy sweater, some bags, and a blanket. It’s very warm and easy to work with. It’s isn’t soft.

Thank you for crocheting up a swatch!

Any info on the beautiful sweater you’re wearing?
Thank you for the review! It's always good to see these before trying! 😊

Where is the link you said you posted for the “wraps per inch” tool you got on Etsy? It’s not in the description and there’s no pinned comment.
