Grim Dawn is one of the best ARPG's of all time. You're missing out if you're calling this game "old" or "dated." I've played since EA when there was 1 act! It's come so far, and deserves so much respect. Crate is amazing for continuing to support this game. Can't wait for the new expansion!
I did play G.D bak in the day but I'd nvr go back
D2 was a masterpiece and super amazing in it's time.
To date I still cannot bring myself to play it.

@@dyattz To each their own. Graphics don't drive me to play a game. All about the gameplay. I play "old" games all the time 😅
I dont mind the graphics as much. But compared to any of the main 3: PoE, LE or D4 I think it just falls short. It just doesnt have that same hit with me. I mean I did have fun with the game when I was playing it, but I just dont see myself going back to it over all the other 3.
I played the community league for the first time this season (s6), and I have to be honest.... This was the most enjoyable and rewarding arpg experience I've ever had.
GD is probably my favorite arpg of all time.
Grim Dawn in my opinion is the best ARPG on the market.
Im sick of seeing people say "its old" about Grim Dawn...PoE released in 2013, Diablo 2 released in 2000, GrimDawn released in 2016. So its actually newer than the alleged best ARPG games off all time, We need to drop the stigma surrounding GrimDawn about it being old as its the only negative thing people can come up with when they rate this game.
GrimDawn is still currently better than Last Epoch and I can say that as an avid fan of both games, LE just can't compete with the expansions GD has to offer.
Last Epoch has a ton of great ideas, but the moment-to-moment gameplay isn't nearly as engaging as Grim Dawn for me.
@@FrasierFanMSUlast epoch looks like it was made in 2000 too. Zero character customization, ugly character models and textures, and the animations are bad.
Like Arnold once said, I'm old but not obsolete lol, but seriously, who cares if a game is old, as long as the game is fun to play, the age of it doesn't matter, especially when the game is still well-supported like Grim Dawn is.
Grim Dawn spoiled me with all the buttons so i camt pay anything else anymore. LE was a big letdown with 4 skills...
Just started playing less than a week ago and really enjoying it. Only level 80, but grinding away while waiting for other updates.

Still hoping Median XL is ported here instead of D2. D2 is already limited and not getting to D2R anytime soon while grim dawn offers modding better than i've seen from most arpgs.

I don't even know if I can handle another game on my roster, last epoch path of exile Torchlight infinite and Diablo 4, I play all these. I tried grim Dawn a couple years ago but I might give it a visit again.

Sadly, there is no way I'm going to play grim dawn with a new mastery in the horizon. I know that when the new dlc comes I'm going to replay the whole game with a new character and do everything new, make new builds and dedicate days to the game... so why do this now with the old masteries when I'm waiting for the new one? I'm going to just play other games instead and wait for the fangs dlc and the shapeshifter character to come.
When they announced the new dlc and mastery it pretty much took the wind out of the sails for any update, anything other than the dlc is just not enough now.

I complete forgot about last epoch. I don’t know if I’ll check it out or not. Diablo 4 is now really good and I can’t stop playing it until the ER expansion is released.
it is an old game..... but that dont make it not a great game lol i certainly will getting the expansion, i will prob wait till that comes out before i play again but then im going full force into it

@@mauricionavarro8224 yes diablo 1 and 2 is alot older but a nearly 9 year old game is also old. especially considering 2 big releases this year and another one coming in the next 12months.
but like i said its age dont hurt it, its still one of the best
They need to just make Grim Dawn 2 already it's cool they're still updating this but too much bloat for a ARPG is not a good thing out with the old in with the new
GD 2 in 10 years so have a nice wait :).

Hmm. I got 1,3k hours in grim Dawn on my steam account. Played it a few weeks ago cause of the addon aaaand…. It got old man… it really got old :(
As for the quality of textures, it's true. Animations also already leave much to be desired, but the playability itself is at a very high level all the time. Check out the graphics mod "GrimTex" if the graphics bother you.
@@luq8912 it’s not the graphics - it’s just the overall feeling of the game. It does just not feel like it felt 5 years ago. Maybe it’s a me problem. But somehow it feels outdated for me by now… sadly… it was one of my favorite games ever

@@leederlee That might just be the 1300 hours. Sometimes, no matter what they update or add, you're just cooked on a game for good and the magic is gone. Happened to me with Nioh 2 (a personal all-time favorite) the last time I tried to fire it up.

i like seasonal game just like poe. thats why i dont like the grim dawn and D3. grim dawn need season or league. D3 season is too long and no new game content
