Yes you can omit the ovalette totally. Without its still fine, only not as spongy

hi, can I use boxed coconut cream, is it the same as coconut milk?

Boxed coconut cream is thicker than coconut milk. So you need to dilute it with water. By exactly how much, I'm not sure. You just need to estimate by adding water a little at a time.
