L.A.'s Giant Horse Manure Collections!!

- Kirk, Tony and I went to Mandeville Canyon today (just west of Brentwood) to film horse manure collection. All the footage I have here is from just a few houses on a long and windy road, some of which have 12+ 60 gallon brown horse manure cans. If you're wondering why all the lids are pre-flipped, it's because the driver wanted to know which cans contained horse manure and not yard waste. (Sometimes residents like to put yard trimmings in the brown bins). Here they use one truck for manure and one truck for yard waste. I hope you guys enjoy this awesome collection!

As always, thanks to the driver and Happy Veterans' Day!
I'm just sayin'... if you can get a hopper video of horse manure...that would be the coolest
I seen on LA's website about this collection never thought anyone would ever film it.so rare no dought a like and fav!!!!!!
Thanks! This is one of 2 videos of it on youtube
Awesome to see that there is another manure route in LA. There is a manure route down here in the valley as well in Sun Valley where trash is collected on Monday
A great video how come the horse owners don't get rid of the horses manure themselves and does it get composted with the green waste, here in England where I work we sometimes get horse maunre in the bins and I love it as the residents hate the smell lol
Awesome video! Dang those streets are so small and narrow. Great shot of that horse lol. Ahww those dogs are so cute lol. I love the clip that starts at 4:07 where you are filming from a high angle. Love the massive line of carts!
Thanks for the comment! Those dogs were awesome. Ya, at 4:07 I was up on a hill/driveway and was trying to get shots in the hopper.
Awesome that you finally got to film horse manure. I thought one truck did all horse manure and greens? Awesome video!
Thanks it was really fun. Yep, if they had one truck go up there and do both horse manure and greens, the truck would most likely be packed out after finishing one side of a street. He had Tony and Kirk flip all the lids on the brown/green cans that only contained horse manure
he does a load of manure first and then comes back for green waste later. For whatever reason the last time we were there he got it all in one though.
Very nice! Love these long lines of carts. Any idea why LA doesn't just give them a Dumpster to use? I would think it's easier to collect, only downside I think would be weight of the Dumpster? Looks like a real tight area too. Great video!
Thanks for the comment! I was thinking that too... why don't these people invest in a dumpster service? It would be kind of hard the FLs or whatever they use to get back there and plus, if you have 10+ 60 gallon cans, that's bound to be more space than a dumpster. It is a real tight area! If you're stuck behind this truck, there's no way of getting around it!

I love this video! I re-watch it every now and then. This is more fun to watch then the horse manure by me. Do you know what truck runs the route now? It would be fun to watch an N3 collect horse manure
Im glad you like it that much! I think a diesel amrep still does this route but it could be a new truck very soon. This video seems to be very popular so I will try to go back and get more video soon!
SoCalGarbageTrucks id love to see a part 2!
Hi
Ahh it is a man
do they do the same thing with this as they do with the yard waste? also who 'pre-flipped' the lids for him? very cool seeing a rarity like this collection, even neater when the vid lets us see into the carts like yea, there really is straight up manure in there lol
+Trashman242 Kirk, Tony, and I pre flipped the lids to make it easier for the driver, he usually doesnt get that kind of treatment lol. Certainly a unique video only one would find in LA
Why do they leave the lids open?
trashmonster26 you should ask kirk, that was his idea if I remember correctly
Idk with the the rherig lid manure could get caught in the lid crevices and with the force of the truck flipping the lid I could make it spew everywhere
Awesome video man lots of lines agian man 👨
Very nice rare video and the dogs love u :D in 3:23
Haha thanks!
prepping for a colonioski. u should see the manure i produce
Why were the bins with the lids closed not picked up if there is yardwasre sticking out of it?
there not on yard waste
What are those brown ones the trash cans in my area I only see blue. Black and green trash cans
That's. So. Cute. And. Funny😅😍
Nice one!
how could I get one of those carts to add to my collection?
where do they dump it
Bruh
They dump it at the composting place
how bad does it smell?
+Jordan Freeman not bad at all. I am personally used to it since I deal with horses a lot over the summer
SoCalGarbageTrucks I am also a horseback rider and quite used to the smell. I am not easily grossed out either. I tend to like to see if I can help operate the truck or ride in the cab. You should see if you can get footage like that. I actually find bad smells kinda cool, if that makes any amount of sense What do you do with horses?
What on Earth is Horse manure?
That stuff looks like sawdust
Horse shit
Sad part is that driver just went against policy for backing out of that narrow street ....if he gets into an accident,he gets a 78....
thos dogs were cute
Haha dogs
Haha a horse
Someone try to lift one of them horseshit cans up.
That alot of s*** 😂😂😂😂
ew.
A very shitty collection route.
Fr it’s full of shit
Whole lotta horseshit
