    You guys are telling the truth and are 100% correct. I had heel pain, xrays revealed a bone spur and I went to a foot specialist. He did injections, which didn't help at all. I went to a surgeon, but he told me it may not be a cure because often the spur comes back. I could hardly walk, and by chance, I mentioned my problem to me G.P. doctor, who as it turned out was trained in sports medicine. He gave me two stretching exercises to do several times a day that do the same thing as the toe stretch you showed. Within 1.5 weeks my pain was gone, hasn't come back and I still have the spur. What you guys are saying WORKS. Thanks for sharing this info.

      mary sunshine. This is the link one of the exercise, there are few , but stretching the legs has the best results , you don't stretch the footh like most of people think, it doesn't work well. All exercise that has to do with stretching the leg i think it may help, but start with the videos from this guy, thisbis what im doing, I was about to quit my job because the pain, but at the same time i will not find another way to bring income to my family, and the pain i suffer is so hard , My kids and family don't know the pain i have to suffer to bring the income for Us.. but the exercise works. I wish you guys the best.

    Thanks for your videos. It really helped watching one of your videos on how to treat sciatic pain. For a long while I couldn't work out what was wrong with my heel. I was blaming it on a new pair of winter climbing boots, but now I know it has been Plantar Fasciitis.

    Awesome! Thank you guys. I have been suffering with a fractured heel bone, but am healing, I switched to a better doctor, ankle/foot specialist in sports injury. I had the in MRI done in June and another September 9, and the Dr. said the bone is now healed. Still have some pain 5/10, following your suggestions and now will be going to PT. I have had this problem since Nov. 2019. The first podiatrist did not want to do an x-ray. I was in a lot of pain, had injection of steroid and that did not last. I did research and found answers and a much better physician. Thanks again :)

    Untuck the sheets at the bottom of your bed. With the sheets tucked in, your foot will be forced down when you sleep on your back. Also, heavy blankets will do the same thing. I suffered from this pain for years. When I untucked the sheets, the pain went away in a few days. Stretching helped, but the sheets did the trick. Recently, we put heavier blankets on the bed due to the cold weather. I noticed the pain starting to return in the morning. Time for socks and thicker pajamas.

    I had all my major tendons and ligaments severely crushed, peroneal nerve damage, diastasis (bones separated), ankle broken in at least two places, poor circulation from blood vessel damage. A lot of pain for 40 years. I have used some of your methods over time and they work. Unfortunately right on the bottom of my heel feels like a rock or jumping jack is under it every time I take a step. It gets so painful I cannot barely stand. My ankle literally feels like someone took a knife and slashed through it. The calf of my leg gets knobs of pain from the blood clots when i stand or walk. My knee gave out because of all the stretching and pulling when I try to lift my foot to walk. All of this over 40 years because I was thrown from , dragged, and crushed by a train. I have many more injuries from head to toe. Pain management is an Art, a calling, a profession, a necessity. Thank you for your easy to see and understand presentation. P.S. Hydrotherapy during after these stretching exercises greatly aids in relaxation and removal of stiffness and soreness and promotes circulation which promotes healing.

    Well I tried therapy, wrapping, taping, custom orthotics, and even wore a cast for 2 weeks...nothing helped. I have a bone spur, but doc was sure it was classic plantar fascia. During surgery he sees a muscle he's never seen before, pushing on my nerves. He releases them and trims plantar fascia. No pain since!

    Interesting video. After years of wearing 'flats' (and being someone with an extremely high arch as well as a really wide foot -- I learned not to wear flat shoes, to only wear a shoe to accommodate my custom orthotic and after heel-spur surgery to take care to keep my foot stretched out in the morning. Hopefully this video helped many people avoid surgery.

    • @jcsgrl359

      Yeah it's interesting flat shoes was my thing also. My podiatrist said high heels can also be a culprit over time. I don't wear flats, except Crocs which give a little more support and wearing heels to church I may pay the price, but wedges are ok. Your feet will definitely tell you what to wear.

    WAIT! Now I've got BIG bone spurs on the back of my heals - to the point that all the backs of my sneakers would wear out (big holes in the foam). My doctor said I'll probably need the spurs removed, but my physical therapist says maybe not. I do tons of stretches, and that helps, but if I don't keep-up with it, my ankles and even the backs of my calves become inflamed. There have been times they felt like they were on fire! Now I found that wearing backless shoes helps TREMENDOUSLY... but it sucks for working out! And forget wearing boots in the winter!

    • @kevinbossick8374
      @kevinbossick8374 2 роки тому +2

      That is what I have. Years of wearing work boots. Always wearing out the back, which then leads to chaffing pain. I would cut up old Dr Shcolls and place in back of heal. But the thing that helped the most was to stop wearing boots at work. Luckily, regular shoes are fine for what I do now. It seems the boots actually made them worse/bigger spurs.

    • @valentinakniess2432
      @valentinakniess2432 2 роки тому +1

      @@kevinbossick8374 They do! Glad you're in a position where you don't need to wear the boots anymore. Unfortunately for me I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm going to have to have the surgery. There is no way now that I can wear shoes with any back and flare-ups are more frequent. I think lots of people can benefit from physical therapy for this - but my spurs have grown just too big.

    None of this worked for me, and I tried it all. I had severe plantar fascitis in one foot. I went to podiatrist who sent me to physical therapy, but it never got any better. I probably spent over $500 on insoles, shoes, tape, splint. etc., and none of it worked. I was in agony for one year straight. I did the exercises, massage, icing it, etc. I finally decided on my own to wear a walking boot. I bought it from amazon and wore it from the moment I woke up until I went to bed. It was such a relief because it completely took the pain away. After four weeks, I started only wearing it when I had to be on my feet for more than an hour or so. I did that for two weeks. And then I was totally healed! I cured it by letting it heal and stopped messing with it. It was *injured* and all the physical therapy and exercises were making it worse. Stretching did nothing but continuously re-injure it in my case and prolonged my agony by many months. If it had been booted immediately, I would have been out of pain right away and it would have healed permanently in 6 weeks. Eventually I would have ended up getting surgery if I had continued listening to my podiatrist.

The bottom of my left foot along the left side started to hurt after I ran/walked over 100 miles within 3 months, using new pair of sneakers - women's Sketchers Go Step. Even though I ran outside on flat, low impact surfaces, the shoes provided little support on my feet and I think that led to the injury. To help heal the pain, I stopped running and kept my foot elevated, but two weeks later the pain began when I walk for more than half a mile. I will apply the toe stretching exercise in hopes to faster healing. I miss running! Thanks agian.

    well the pain went and I could put my foot to the ground again. I felt so emotional and nearly cried.

      This may actually be coming from your back and position of your pelvis. Find a John Barnes trained myofascia release therapist. Trust me....I have spent two years in hell that started with plantar fasciitis and then knee pain. If your pelvis is forward (especially from sitting a lot and or driving)

    You guys I had this very problem in my right foot in 2018, I walked everywhere in absolute pain for two years and even on my holidays. My doctor x-rayed it and said it was arthritis. Now it's gone, but has come back again in my left foot but worse. I am going out tomorrow to get some tape. Thank you so much. It is December 2021 I am going to start 2022 with a renewed sense of well being. Thank you again.

    Thank you for the info in this video!! I found it all to be very helpful!! Especially since I've been having serious pain in my heel and surrounding area. You guys have helped me narrow down my possible problem, but also means I still need to get seen by a Dr soon. After watching your video I resorted to trying the tape method of relieving some pain and discomfort when I walk. Amazingly it helped my pain so much. I now want to try the brace you guys demonstanted or used in your video to use at night because I do have a lot of pain in the mornings. I plan to stretch my foot before I begin my mornings and any time I plan to walk after laying down or sitting. Thank you very much for your helpful advice an knowledge.

    Massage your calf muscles with any massage oil, all the way down to the Achilles tendon. Massage with medium to hard pressure, not gently. Feet muscles work in tendom with leg muscles. If there is stiffness in calves and Achilles tendon, it will put more stress on heels and plantar fascii.

    I had a massage therapist tell me plantar fasciitis is caused by leg muscles. Which is what I’m having issues with right now but was told I have plantar fasciitis about 2 years ago. I’m working on strengthening my core/glutes and starting up yoga again to get some consistent stretching. Hopefully that will even out the stretched taught and the short tight hip flexor muscles and my calves, quads and hammies will stop yanking everything out of whack.
    Do you guys think tight leg muscles could be a cause? I’m feels like a marble is right in the middle of the ball of my foot, so I roll around it and now my knee hurts. It’s a chain of injuries that feel totally related and a simple fix but I don’t know what it is. And that marble in my foot brings me to tears almost daily.

I started massaging it and working my left foot and it is started to feel better. My Np finally got me referred to a foot Dr but i can't see him for 2 months. Because im a new patient. Since I've been working on my own foot and rubbing my knees its feeling alot better...i have been wrapping it also...

    I followed the advice online on how to remove a bone spur on my foot- (Plantar Fasciitis a calcium deposit). It may remove a kidney stone as well since they are made of the same material. I mixed 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother (living) (Regular Vinegar might work too), mix in 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon citric acid (optional) and drank this twice a day. In 2 days my painful, crippling bone spur of 10 years was gone! Look at your urine (pee) and see if it is cloudy. If so, this will mean the bone spur is dissolving. Interestingly, this is also what they use to naturally remove calcium deposits from your sink!
    I also a use a gua sha stone (Jade or Rose Quartz) with oil on my foot to stretch out my bunched up tendon that still causes pain. My podiatrist said the tendon gets bunched up and cut from the the bone spur; so that will take a little while to heal (no pun intended!)
    Also, if you have a hill or mountain to climb near you; do so every week even if painful. It causes you to flex your foot at the incline it needs to get stronger in the tendon!

    I was beginning to run after taking a long break. This was way back in around 1990. I was running on dirt trails. I either stepped in a hole or on a rock and twisted my ankle, you know how your ankle turns in and the weight of your body comes down on a foot that is rotated in. It was pretty extreme, but I could still walk.
    I seemed to be OK, but after about 20 minutes walking back to my car my foot was really hurting. I waited for it to heal, but it did not. I was limping for weeks and finally went to the doctor. They told me I had a bone spur. Everywhere I went and everything I did I had foot pain.
    I went to physical therapy and they did some kind of ultrasonic thing to my foot, and then put me on a this repetitive electronic thing that tensed my muscle. This pain went on for months, until I think around maybe 6-9 months I just decide to go out and start walking and running to see what happened. Over a medium period of time it just got better with use,but I could still feel it, even though it did not really hurt. It was a very long time, maybe years before it went completely away and I could not tell which foot had the problem.
    I felt lucky that I got better, and even luckier that it was my own body and just normal use that fixed it, but it was very disappointed in the medical and physical therapy that really did nothing. I still do not really know what I had or what the problem was.

    What if the pain is at the back of the heels? Sharp pain right at the insert of AT .with the spur.just like your boot picture showing....

    • @thetayterminator1436
      @thetayterminator1436 4 роки тому

      Thats ☝🏻 exactly where im having pain! 👣
      And I feel that sharp pain Everytime I bend over like if I'm trying to pick something up off the floor.
      What about you? Does that sound familiar?
      Its in the back of my left heel, its a small spot about the size of a half dollar coin mayber and its like you said on the back of the heel like where a Boot spur would be, and if you were looking straight at the back of my left heel the pain is on the center-right side, so the side facing my other foot.
      And I cant find nothing when I search Google because if you type heel pain every single result brings up this Plantar Fasciitis.
      I did see something on Livestrong.com mentioning heel pain when bending over due to Achilles Tendinitis but it didn't specify where in the heel so im still back to square 1… at least im pretty sure what it is not! 😕 Lol

    • @janetbrowning9089
      @janetbrowning9089 4 роки тому +2

      OK...that's exactly where my pain was too and I actually had a growth, that just kept getting larger and larger on my heel bone...it protruded and was affecting the tendon on the back of my leg and heel...so what then? I did so much stretching it wasn't funny, trying to get it to stop hurting...what a joke...it was ruining my tendon!! So, are you going to just ignore that? I couldn't walk in the morning, at all...maybe "duck walk"...it took a good hour or more to walk it out and then it still hurt...the back of my heel...One more thing...I may well have had that little hook bone on the bottom of my foot, but my doctor was not concerned with that...he was concerned with the spur that the tendon was riding over every time I took a step!! So, say what you will about spurs being people's imagination and that they aren't causing our pain...but, I have been there, done that and until you have one and have to go through that every day, you have no idea what you are talking about!! I went for 5 years trying everything....
