Some Latinos showed up smoking cigarettes and weed up at a playground last Saturday. My kids complained about the smell. Someone complained to them. The latino dude got angry. I’m an immigrant, came here in 2005 and I’ve been paying my taxes on time since I started working at 16 (I’m now 31) and I’m only on DACA, which I have to renew every 24months at a fee of almost $500. Not knowing best if it’ll get approved or not, going thru debates to whether remove DACA or not.
And now these people are easily let in the country, taking over our city that we’ve been trying to take care of and maintain, they’re demanding work permit and permit to stay in the country… but yet the ones who’ve been here paying taxes for years, we don’t get anything??? Get the front door out of here.
Like I said, I’m an immigrant and so are my parents, we abide by the rules and want a peaceful life, I’m also a First Responder trying to make a change but FREEDOM AIN’T FREE!!!!!

Even if the Republicans controlled both the presidency and Congress, your chances of deportation are slim - even if you didn't renew DACA. You're low priority because you're not bothering anyone. From the perspective of ICE, it's not worth the tax money it would cost to deport you.
Why spend limited money deporting a first responder when you can spend that money deporting an unemployed shoplifting living in a motel?
From a risk/reward perspective, it's in the US government's best interest to let you stay and deport someone who offers no societal benefit.
