The people that's complaining about the City Connect jersey are probably not from the City of Baltimore. I think the jersey is cool. I absolutely love the video. I'm going to purchase it. My grandfather, God rest his soul, would have loved it. All the way from East Baltimore 21205 with love.
The purple one they gave away at the game was actually the best one.
I like 'em, hearkens back to an older age in baseball in its simplicity, but it still has details. Really like the cap. Would also like an orange B.
Whether you like the jerseys or not, the city connect project has garnered more fan engagement and driven more interest overall than the MLB expected. It’s a huge hit in every major baseball city with a connect jersey.
Should of done Charm city in orioles script in those colors and they would of been pretty dope

That’s the point. Read the presser photo. To outsiders Baltimore is black and white. But on the inside it’s bright, vibrant and colorful.
@@BmoreIrishtoo bad you cant see any of that nice color on the jersey. It’s great that the rainbow mosaic color is on the inside, but you cant see the inside during a game, they put that rainbow mosaic pattern in all the places you can’t see

Why not do that pattern that’s on the inside of the jersey, on the plain white Baltimore, and on the B on the hat??? I hat the whole “we can see it when we take it off but they can’t” design, it takes the point of it away!! Hopefully there’s still time to change it!!

I like how they hid the only interesting feature of the jersey and the one thing that felt like an actual connection to the city! Great work! Also the hat looks like a Bally Sports cap.

Very Mid … hat’s cool but the jersey looks like something one could get at a gas station.. not much effort seems to have went into the project.
Uniforms are a massive L. Whatever intern thought this would a an interesting and quirky design, and whatever executive signed off on it, should be immediately fired. Baltimore fans are getting screwed out of an exciting and interesting city connect.
I cannot for the life of me understand why putting an interesting design on the inside where you cannot see it would ever be a good idea. It’s CLOTHING. The whole point is that the interesting part should be seen.
Biggest layup in uniforms charm city across the chest written in oriole font. How did they mess this up.
You could have the same collar and the neighborhood colors that’s fine, but how do you just have Baltimore across the chest?

all the stuff we couldve done with this jersey… this was really an opportunity to let baltimore shine and express our qualities and traditions as a city. how at all does this represent the cultural aspects of baltimore? christ we have the coolest state flag in the country and we didn’t incorporate it at all, not to mention we have 1,000 unique things about us as a city with a rich history that could’ve gone into the idea behind this jersey and all we get is a black jersey with white brick font and a cursive B… to think that people actually got paid a living to design these, manufacture these and approve these and this is what they wound up with is honestly embarrassing.
Look I love the idea and the story behind the jersey, but it's not shown in the jersey. The rainbow mosaic pattern is great, but you CAN'T SEE IT. In a game the players neck will cover up the inside of the collar, most players probably won't roll up their sleeves, and the bottom of the sock will be covered by cleats. This leaves you with a boring black and white jersey. Again, I love the rainbow pattern, but they put it in all the places you can't see it. Look at the picture of rutchsmann in the new jersey, you can't see any of the cool pattern. They could've easily done the Baltimore text across the front and the B on the hat in that rainbow mosaic pattern and it would have automatically been a way better jersey. I was looking forward to this new jersey a lot, but this is really disappointing.
That’s the main reason I like it , if you want you can roll the sleeves up & show all the colors, but not everyone is flashy Flash Gordon ! Seriously a rainbow across the chest , we can let the Padres have the women’s softball uniforms , Outlaws wear all black ! And it’s not a fashion show! Them white belts gotta go tho!
@@Marylandterpenes831oes depressing all black really represent Baltimore, so when people watch the orioles in their city connect they think that Baltimore is a sad, depressing place. The city connect is supposed to be fun and somewhat represent the city and I agree it doesn’t have to look like a disco ball but add some color in visible spots. I’ve watched the orioles play in the city connect and the only color I see is some of the players’ arm sleeves. I could make the city connect in five minutes, I’d just have to choose a plain black template jersey and slap on boring white text. Also, they could’ve easily done charm city or b’more or something other than Baltimore on the front, again not much but might’ve made it slightly better

If you have to spend a lot of time explaining the symbolism, it is bad symbolism.
I’m guessing someone from Baltimore didn’t design these and even if that person wasn’t that person should have studied the history of Baltimore. The person on the video Has a Baltimore accent and used Baltimore slang yet these uniforms don’t have any slang words or the sleeve and they could have at least put Charm City on the front of the Jersey. The Person who did White Sox And Cubs understood what would make sense on the front of their Jerseys.
These are so boring, ugly plain and FRUITY ...all at once. Worst Orioles uniform, could have reallly made something traditional.and cutting edge. Like Camden Yards and the city itself...., instead its like a Bud Light Can with an umbrella and flourescent paint markers doodles all over it. Players are not gojng to play well when they look like clowns. Embarassing, and the proomotinal.tape is aupposed to appeal to whom?
