Wonderful choice: Father Ted is a hugely popular Irish show. This is a show about how in small villages, there is absolutely no privacy and everyone is gossiping about everyone else. That's why I left Derry and moved to San Diego, where no one knows if you're alive or dead, so private are they.
This clip has a small cut in it. Originally, immediately after seeing the Chinese, Ted runs out of the house and stands in front of their car but they drive around him. Its a while later, he ventures out and they all think he's racist. You should start watching Father Ted from the beginning, its one of the funniest shows ever made, a completely crazy and often slightly surreal sitcom about three odd priests sharing a house on a small island. Its pure genius.
Great reaction. Father ted is a great series. No matter what ted did he always made things worse ( lol ) . If you can please react to another scene in this episode I won't spoil it ( there's a big square that had dirt on it..and that lol is much much worse). R.I.P Dermot Morgan. He died not long after the final series was done, only 45 too, I think.Great loss, but really funny man. Also father jack in this nothing prepares you for him, lol. Whole point of the episode is Ted isn't a racist but doing that impression even jokingly well..it wasn't a good idea as shown, lol.
There's a better clip of this episode here and I think it's actually funnier. ua-cam.com/video/oFDW2E9HU6M/v-deo.html If you've never watched this show, you definitely should. It's one of the best sitcoms ever made.

In China wearing that bear top is considered a deliberate insult to the Boss.
What you miss in this is the fact there is a small black square on the window. So as Father Ted is trying to dig himself out of this mess he ends up by accident doing a Hitler impression at the window to the Chinese family. To really get the humor you have to realize that a lot of these Jokes are actually highlighting how stupid racism is etc. So makes a mockery of the Racists.
Citizen Kahn from BBC is maybe something for you. A UK/Pakistani culture clash. Adil Ray the creator was also part of Goodness Gracious Me, Indian/UK culture humor.
Hi, just to let u know father Ted is an Irish comedy, it is only half filmed in uk and the rest is filmed in Ireland. Its an all Irish cast, writers, humour etc. So having the country of uk on thumbnails for this show is little offensive to Irish people
It aired on Channel 4 which is a UK station so it's an easy mistake if you're not familiar with the show or the UK/Ireland. They obviously aren't trying to offend anyone. I think you're being a little nitpicky. Does this really offend you? In the immortal words of Father Ted, "Lighten up, Dougal!"
@@Pre-Expatriate ya I am familar, I'm from Ireland. Just because it was half filmed in uk doesn't mean It makes it an English comedy, half the show was filmed in Ireland also. There's nothing British about the show.
@@CaseysRepository no, it’s not misleading. It’s produced by Hat Trick Productions, and if you look at the Wikipedia entry, you’ll see that the country of origin is the UK. They put up the money to get it made in the first place because the Irish television companies would not touch it.
Just a comment for everyone here to read. Father Ted is a UK production. It is not Irish. The writers are Irish, some of the crew are Irish but the money for the program was put up by a British company call hat trick productions. The Irish television companies would not touch it so it was rejected by Ireland and brought to the UK where it was accepted, funded and eventually got made.
It is Irish though, the filming was half done in UK, half was in Ireland. Everything about it is Irish expect filming half of it inside the studio. No one is denying it's a British filming. But everything about the show itself is Irish. Not one bit of English humour in it and the makers of this video can't deny it
I recommend you 2 get into the whole series. Very off the wall, absurd stuff but so hilarious you 2 would love it!
Any Father Ted clip will have you in stitches laughing - thank you for this, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ted puts a Lamp shade on his head, and tells Dougal to ''LIGHTEN UP''.

So if you could edit out the uk in thumbnail, just misleading

Combined effort and all the characters are Irish

Yea, its Irish talent and British money.
One of the greatest shows ever.
