My favorite solo Bach has always been Perlman that is until I heard you play it. It is my personal opinion that this kind of sound started with Kreisler - then Menuhin and Oistrakh got it from Kreisler, then Perlman got it from Oistrakh. If you remember Perlman did say in the art of violin he never fell out of love with Oistrakh. Perlman and Ehnes has always been for me the perfect solo Bach, I can't help but wonder if your sound was influenced by the above. I also think your Pahanini is Rabin-like, absolute perfection.
Fantastic is a massive understatement.
Bach would not only be impressed but envious of how superb this interpretation was
Really reminds me of Grumiaux’s interpretation, but still quite unique. Nicely lyrical with a wide vibrato…
Mesmerizing. 😌
Lovely, lovely, lovely
Wow, truly beautiful! You are a virtuoso!
Sublime!
Simply brilliant.
Such an amazing performance
You are the best!
I absolutely love and admire your playing as well as your interpretations of Bach. Splendid !!!
BRAVO
James' Bach interpretations are my absolute favorite💖🎻
