Angelina's incredible. A year later at 10, she does Feeling Good, the inside concert with an orchestra, it is something else. That year difference in her maturity is amazing. It's to her forte, a jazzy bluesy singer.
She is so impressive, and the same year she recorded this she also wrote a book and became the youngest published author in Norway. Not only that she has been recording songs in a studio since she was 6 in English which is her 3rd language she speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English, and some Japanese. Not only is she talented, and smart she is humble and kind, even before she was ever signed to a label she has raised 21 million euros for charities for children and the environment and that is coming from a child who is not a millionaire herself. Just thought I would give some impressive facts besides her singing.
Thank you Lynette .. i never get tired of reading the facts of this magical young woman (I try to not say 'girl' any more!..😊) I partly like hearing the details of her life because of the way they are passed on .. so I thank you! Angelina casts another spell. BORN TO SING is a statement that now has two categories, Angelina and everyone else. Angelina is a music prodigy specializing in vocals, the only such prodigy I know of. As talented as Angelina is, she is an even better person, filled with empathy. She has vowed to always perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Here is how that mission began. At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
At Angelina's first audition at Norway's Got Talent when she was 7, one of the judges said it sounded like Angelina had been drinking whiskey since she was born. This performance she sang "Gloomy Sunday"!
Guys, what can you say! And, it never stops! No matter what age she is, no matter what song it is. Don't know how much you know about her but when you find out everything about her you will be in awe of her. Ah, I just heard you say Bohemian Rhapsody. Fasten your seat belts. I will say no more. But, definitely, do Bohemian Rhapsody soon.

Well, if you haven't heard her do Bohemian Rhapsody yet, be prepared to be speechless yet again. She is going to do it to you a bunch of times if you keep listening to her. The girl has a ton of stuff and all of it is at least as good as the originals she covers and many times her version is better. It's been said that she doesn't cover songs, she finishes them.
Angelina started out singing Jazz. Won Norway's got talent at 7 singing Billy Holiday, I'm a fool to love you, Gloomy Sunday, Summertime. And I know she has done several Frank Sinatra covers.
The best thing about this - she has always been cared for - including the adult who said: "wow this is magic - but you are not allowed to shred your vocal cords like this again for a couple of decades". One of the best calls ever made - and we are all happy they filmed the one time when she showed off that muscle. In a decade or so, I would not be surprised if she will growl at us again while our jaws make rattling sounds as they hit the floor - again. When that happens - some select few of us will remember this sample from her childhood.
Angelina said in an interview that she started singing along to music when she was eighteen months old. Her grandmother, who was also a child prodigy but more in the visual arts played old jazz standards constantly and Angelina fell in love with them. She started learning to sing seriously at age three. Since I first studied the history of music decades ago (I'm 57), I've often wondered what it would have been like to see Mozart perform when he was a child. Now I know... Since Ginger loves Frank Sinatra, you guys should take a look at Angelina's music video for Fly Me To the Moon. ua-cam.com/video/jnnzbdt4_RE/v-deo.html She also has another personal piece called Shield that is about her mother. Great reaction. Typical 'so cute' to *WHAT!!* transformation :-) Angelina has *massive* talent and dedication, but many don't realize that when she recorded this at 9.2 years old, she had already been singing with passion and commitment for eight years. Yep. Started before she was 1.5 years old. There is sooo much of her amazing work in YTland, you could react to her alone for a long time.
Yes, Ertha Kitt died Dec. 25, 2008. Angelina still hadn't reached her 2nd birthday Jan. 10. I look forward to watching many more of your reactions of this young prodigy.
You have SOOOOOO much more to discover from Angelina. Having reacted to Million Miles and I Put a Spell on You, I would recommend I'd Rather Go Blind (Etta James), Fly Me to the Moon (Frank Sinatra), Young and Beautiful (Lana del Rey), and I'm Still Holding Out for You (Baby Fuzz). I think those four will give you a pretty good representation of the versatility of this extraordinary talent. Of course there are so many great performances from Angelina you really can't go wrong with any of them. The rabbit hole is deep, but it is a journey well worth taking.
Can u imagine when those swasones professional musicians hears this little 75lb girl belt out this song....she owned it! U would love "Its a man's world "....love your reaction!
Welcome to The Angel! My favorite vocalist in many years and once you head down that Jordan rabbit hole, you won't be able to climb out! She has recently signed with Republic Records and will be entertaining the World for many years to come. Great reaction!
Ginger "Who gave that little girl bourbon?". That look of disbelief then astonishment on your face was brilliant! :) She's still only 14yo (15yo in one month 10th Jan) and already she's a superstar. Republic Records have got a tiger by the tail with AJ. She's already a level above most singers, just what is she going to show us in the coming years? Mike, you had the broadest smile throughout. :) xxx
Don’t forget, it is her arrangement too. You saw the not she delivered. That was the last changes. Unbelievable. Remember she has a ridiculous range. But only use what she thinks the song needs. I love that about her. She is not just a show off. Her I rather go blind, is one of her about 135 covers. 4 of them are her wonderful owns
From Iowa, USA; OK, WOW ❗🤗🌹 1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 2. AJ is currently signed with Republic Records. 3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. 4. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. Hopefully this will remain as she continues her career with Republic. 5. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot and I hope by now that you have discovered the incredible reason why she does that. 6. AJ sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old! 7. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. 8. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.
Yes, she is amazingly talented and I just love all her music. Her home always had Jazz music playing, when she was in her mothers womb she was listening to Jazz and while in her cot, listening to Jazz. There is a video of her singing Jazz at 18 months, so I find it understandable that some 6 years later by honing her skills with practice and tuition, she was ready. This phenomenal young girl actually asked her mother to put her in a singing competition. The result was that she won Norway's Got Talent, the rest my friends is history. Now with over 130+ covers and own tracks later she has proved without doubt that she is one of the best singers on the planet. AJ has recently been signed with Republic records and has released her own song "Million Miles". On 10th January 2021 she will be 15 years old; what a future lies ahead. Enjoy the journey.
Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤️💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song ❤️💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤️💙 Whether you are a believer in reincarnation or not, I find it very intriguing that Lou Rawls, the American Jazz & blues singer legend, passed away the same day Angelina is born 😊 Loved your reaction guys!!!
No other singer can perform in so many different voice, so well, well enough to redefine the performance, make it uniquely hers, new and spectacurlaly memorable. She should not be possible yet there she is.
Great reaction 🇨🇦. Looks like you both especially you Ginger (love that name) just got possessed and you are now and forever under her spell and that’s awesome Hopefully you’ll continue on the this journey. You’ll be in for an amazing ride.
When you do your reaction to Angelina's performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, keep in mind, she had to do a 6.5 minute song in a little over 2 minutes. What would you cut? How would you rearrange? All while paying homage to the original and respecting Freddie Mercury. This will be a good example of who she really is and why her fans are so in awe of her.
I think that is the greatest vocal performance ever…. Like, of all time. It is a religious experience. There is nobody like her.. . . I mean, Oh my gawd!
It's a gift that's what she's got. It doesn't happen to everyone or often but when it happens it's something special..I consider this my favorite of her performances and that was a hard decision to make considering all her performances are so Amazing...I must've seen this thousands of times...only video i can say that about.
You two are lovely and I loved watching your reaction to Angelina. The stunned silence after said it all, as did your smiles during.Angelina is amazing isn't she?
I may be latecomer to this conversation, but I just went through your Angelina journey again. I love your reactions. You really need to react to more Angelina. The world/galaxy/universe has never had a talent such as AJ's. Start with Bohemian Rhapsody, or any of her other 100+ performances, there is no wrong answer. She will amaze you every time.
Thanks for the reaction. This was a tip of the cap to the writer of the song, who was also the one who first recorded it: Screaming Jay Hawkins. If you like Sinatra, you might be interested in Angelina's covers of Fly Me to the Moon, Strangers in the Night, You Make Me Feel So Young, or My Way. Angelina has 132 different songs (including either 4 or 6 originals depending on how you count), covering 81 different artists. Four were written by her and two were written for her, Many of them were performed in multiple videos at different ages, totalling 248 videos. I'm quite certain you'll find many new favorites! Enjoy the ride!
You’re both amazing and I’ve subscribed to see more of your reactions to Angelina. Seeing people react to her for the first time to whatever video that’s up is wonderfully addictive. It’s been said already that you’ve not yet scratched the surface. Get ready for your ears to be tickled with delicious sounds that your ears need to feed on. Angelina just hits something deeper than any artist has hit me and I’m nearly 3 times her age. It bugs me a 14 year old is my favorite artist. It shouldn’t be like that but it is. I hope the world takes notice and everyone will know her name.
Your bourbon comment was funny as something similar was said by one of the Norway's Got Talent judges after hearing her 7 year old audition performance of Gloomy Sunday...
Great reaction to Angelina. Wasn't that spectacular? This is her cover (she arranged it) of the original written and performed by Screamin' Jay Hawkins in 1956. He was a real showman and wrote this with a few of his friends after a night out drinking. Angelina took this and made it into an R & B classic. At the beginning of the video, the picture on the candle she is holding is of Screamin' Jay. Here's the link to one of his early performances on TV. ua-cam.com/video/7kGPhpvqtOc/v-deo.html
I am a Angelina big fan have listened to a good portion of her postings. I also noticed that you enjoy Amira Willighagen. One of her best postings is "Gabrielle's Song" live! She sings in Swedish and it is one of my favorite videos on UA-cam!
You have just seen an evolving miracle of song. What a voice, what emotion, what commitment to detail of arrangement at 9 years old. I love her tributes to other artists that have been the basis of her talent. Her covers of Frank Sinatra songs, Billie Holiday songs, Etta James songs, songs of Elvis, and Queen. Her tributes to Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Avici are particularly heartfelt and powerful. Her covers of Adele and Lana del Ray songs are unbelievable as well. Do not pass up the depth of her commitment to Jazz, blues and many old and new classics by the best singers in the business. She doesn't just cover them, she often reimagines them and creates the vitality of the original. Look forward to more of Angelina from you!
Great reaction to an incredible performance. I must thank you for not stopping the track over and over like so many do, it truly ruins the flow of the music. Your comments are thoughtful and inciteful. Dr G
Great reaction. This is a more aggressive and theatrical song. The amount of twist and turns is amazing but does not slow Angelina down. She rises to the occasion like it's the normal thing to do. The greatest video ever, and only 9 years old. If you listen to Bohemian Rhapsody I would suggest all 3 songs on AGT Champions January 2020 at 13 years old. For the perfect looks, voice and emotion I suggest her cover of Adele's Someone Like You at 13 years old, She has done Sinatra's, Fly me to the Moon, My Way, You Make me Feel So Young.
If you didnt have headphones your smiles would go all the way around :D Brilliant reaction, thanks so much for sharing! Subscribed so I dont miss the next one.
Pure jazz at barely 9 years old! By her own admission, Angelina started to sing jazz at one year and a half. No reincarnation for sure, and, as a Christian, she would be offended to hear that other singers sing through her, but music genius, child prodigy, exceptional musical ear, zealous dedication, rich DNA, among many more factors. I did not know that Frank Sinatra sang that song, even though it is common knowledge that Frank, like Elvis, is her most adore male idol. I run now to wath your reaction to her Million Miles. I just subscribed to your channel by the way. I love to see Mike very respectful to Ginger and on her same wave lenght. It is so nice to witness two spouses reading the same book at the same page!
This is an homage to "Screaming Jay Hawkings" original version ( that's him on the votive candle) and, personally, I much prefer this version to his .. sorry Jay.
Angelina is 9 in this MASTERPIECE! She is paying tribute to the writer and original performer of this classic rock song, Screamin' Jay Hawkins (1956); hence the black and white production. Everything about this production is an A+. This song was voted one of the 500 most influential songs in the history of rock and roll, and it has been covered more than 200 time (can't find one by Frank Sinatra), the most well-known being Nina Simone's. A bit of history behind the song: Jay was trained as an opera singer, and wrote this song to be sung as a ballad. The producer/director brought in fried chicken, beer, and bourdon, and the entire band got mashed. So they recorded this wild version of Jay's song, and it became the iconic rock and roll song Angelina is paying tribute to. Whenever a new reactor discovers Angelina, most of her fans point him/her to this performance. There just aren't enough words to describe how Wonderful this performance is. Like you, Angelina is a fan of Frank Sinatra. Shortly after winning Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8, she traveled to America to appear on The View TV show. There she performed one of Frank's trademark songs, "Fly Me to the Moon". Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/v-deo.html In several different performances of this song, she has >50M views on YT. I promise you will be amazed. I loved your reaction to the Fabulous Angelina, and look forward to many more. 😊💕💕 P. S.: Here's "Bohemian Rhapsody" ua-cam.com/video/7gQljxeaNuM/v-deo.html Again, you will be blown away (as was Queen) with what she has done with this iconic rock song.
You are so right Ginger!!! That is pure TALENT!!!! You say you love Frank Sinatra?, well now you need to check out her rendition of FLY ME TO THE MOON. She's done several covers of that song and also did Nancy Sinatra's BANG BANG on Norway's Got Talent when she was 8yrs old. I'm so glad you're enjoying our BAREFOOT PRINCESS again. Beautiful reaction. Thank you both💖💖💖
She started singing at 1-1/2 years. Her first love was jazz and especially Billie Holiday. You are going to live Bohemian Rhapsody- and everything else she’s released. The only recordings that I did not like so far are those where the recording quality was not so good. Her singing in every piece was phenomenal.
The problem with reacting to Angelina is, you use up all of the superlatives on the first couple of performances. Then you have to just keep repeating yourself.... But don't let that stop you, we'll keep watching... :)
Welcome to the Rabbit hole. She is a angel from the heavens. Lot of us old timers well into our twilight years have never seen such a inmazing artist .Check out it's a man's world and she covers Frank Sinatra songs .Great reaction
Thanks for another excellent reaction to my favourite singer on your second exposure to her. IShe will often surprise you with her choice of song and her interpretation but you will never be disappointed. Angelina did not base her version based on a performance by Frank Sinatra. Did he release this song? She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to the person who wrote the original, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina - and I sincerely hope you do - you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion in some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener. In this video did you notice:Angelina finishing some notes and handing them to the pianist, who smiled as he read them? They were her wishes (instructions) to the band how she wished therm to play the music. Then a brief glimpse of Mery Zamani, a well known and respected Iranian artist, who is also Angelina's maternal grandmother and the person who encouraged Angelina in her love of music, especially jazz. And then there is a shot of Angelina holding a candle upon which was an image of Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Lastly, did you notice how the "performing" Angelina, singing at a level of maturity far beyond her years, suddenly became a 9-year-old child almost instantaneously once she finished singing. From the time I first heard Angelina, way back at her first audition on Norway's Got Talent, she has amazed me.

The spell has been cast! She is Great you. Guys. Need to check Bohemanan rapsidy on AGT You will be hook line & sinker. Great reaction Looking forward too your next one.
Wait till you hear her when she won Norway Got Talent at 7-8 years old! One amazing reaction is if you would react to one of her great performances from that competition, something like "Summertime", and then as a contrast one of her latest, such as when she sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" on America Got Talent: The Champions, when she got to be 13 (she got the golden buzzer for that performance). That would be fantastic, but it would also give you a much more amazing contrast of how great she was at 7 vs a different kind of greatness at 13!
Here is a link to her singing Fly me to the moon. It is the rehearsal for her performance on the Quincy Jones Birthday Special, he asked for her to sing, he made the arrangement for Frank Sinatra originally. ua-cam.com/video/OMkwoqUNNkE/v-deo.html
Do you want Frank Sinatra, listen to Angelina's performance of the song "Fly me to the moon" acoustically or in a performance on the "View" 🦶🦶 She was 8 years old there... And if you want her to blow your mind see her in Norway got talent in the song "Summertime "
Her catalog is (already) broad and deep, with over 130 different songs, in at least a few hundred different performances. There's a crazy amount of stuff out there. We even have the very first video ever taken of her singing, at age 1½ (it's a short clip in a longer TV segment about her). You'll see it eventually, assuming you keep reacting to her. [grin]
You 2 just have to do some more Angelina Jordan. Trust me she is not finished blowing your mind, tripping the light fantastic is just getting ready to depart, all you gotta do is climb on board and hold on tight thanks
When you look at the sum total of what Angelina has accomplished by the time she was twelve years old she leaves no doubt that she is a genius level talent. Watch the video of her breath taking six year old studio performance of “I who have nothing”. What jumps out right away for me is the fact that she is reading the adult level lyrics. Most six year olds are just beginning to learn their ABC’s, let alone be able to read.
Mentioned Frank Sinatra. Try Angelina on The View at 8 years old with Fly Me To The Moon. I don't like Sinatra's politics but he was a helluva singer and I KNOW he'd have loved that version. Maybe become an unofficial" uncle" to her even.
Hey, welcome back! 1) You forgot CCR. And yes. It's possible. I listened to Angelina, no visual cues, followed by Screamin' Jay, Nina Simone, and CCR (sorry Annie, you didn't make it past the preliminaries). And then Angelina again. Angelina wins, with honourable mention to Screamin' Jay for being her inspiration. End of story. 2). How dare you have multiple favourites? After that performance you must swear your allegiance. Or your humanity will be called into question. 3) In seriousness, you touched on the core of what makes Angelina great. It's her ability to convey the meaning and emotion of the song she is singing. She has absolutely next level vocal skills, skills that most singers, even adult professionals, will never hope to have. But it's what she does with them that creates her magic. She has this ability to intuitively draw upon them (without overdoing any particular technique), using timing, phrasing, dynamics etc and wrapping them in real, sincere feelings, that makes her performances great. I know other singers with absolutely mind-blowing vocal skills (no names mentioned) but to me the emotion is more drama than actual emotion and for the most part it's one gear. 4) Yes, Bohemian Rhapsody. It's the next drop in the roller coaster ride we are taking you on. 5) Great reaction! :)
lovely to see you two with smile. beautiful people

No imitations, she arranged the song. As seen by ulterior page she handed the director at the beginning of the video

Lucky are we that this angel came along in our lifetime.........an legend in making and we got it all on tape, great reaction to:-)
Yes, Ertha Kitt died Dec.
Enough can't be said about Angelina Jordan spectacular Gift!
Can u imagine when those swasones professional musicians hears this little 75lb girl belt out this song....she owned it! U would love "Its a man's world "....love your reaction!
I need a Jordan arrange this herself to
never get tired of reactors seeing this for the first time
Welcome to The Angel! My favorite vocalist in many years and once you head down that Jordan rabbit hole, you won't be able to climb out! She has recently signed with Republic Records and will be entertaining the World for many years to come. Great reaction!
Angelina is a Vocal Goddess and she is always amazing, and mesmerizing.
you should react to her in "what a difference a day makes" or "I'm feeling good"
After watching her in AGT 2020, she became my very first fave Jazz Singer. She's do talented🥰😍🤩
She channeled "Screamin' Jay" Hawkins very well...maybe his old soul in there. I like this one (His pic was on that candle)
Spectacular is the right word. WOW. Imagine what she will be like when she is 20.
From Iowa, USA; OK, WOW ❗🤗🌹
Thanks, and yes 9 years old!!!
"Oh my Hod, holy smokes"..bout right 😂
Love, an old soul, she does it all, you need to listen to her sing bang bang, love❤💯
She's the best been listening to her for four years and the dress you have on is great keep the reactions coming
Well done Ginger and Mike I really look forward to your AJ beautiful journey.
Angelina is a legend. Cheers!
Awesome reactions! She is amazing! Playlist time!!!
Waiting for BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY !!!!!.....LOVE YA BOTH
❤️ - G
You two are lovely and I loved watching your reaction to Angelina. The stunned silence after said it all, as did your smiles during.Angelina is amazing isn't she?
Indeed. Thank you 😊- G
Angelina also did a cover of Fly me to the moon you will love
I may be latecomer to this conversation, but I just went through your Angelina journey again.
I love your reactions. You really need to react to more Angelina.
The world/galaxy/universe has never had a talent such as AJ's.
Start with Bohemian Rhapsody, or any of her other 100+ performances, there is no wrong answer.
She will amaze you every time.
We definitely will! - G
Angelina has done many Frank songs hopefully you will get to them...
for a 9 yr old girl to even know who SJ Hawkins was, much less perform an amazing cover, and pay tribute with the candle in the intro, blows my mind !
Thank you, and welcome! - G
On her original audition on Norways got talent. One of the judges said it sounded like she's been drinking whisky since the day she was born lol
That’s Angelina!!! Awesome
I am a Angelina big fan have listened to a good portion of her postings. I also noticed that you enjoy Amira Willighagen. One of her best postings is "Gabrielle's Song" live! She sings in Swedish and it is one of my favorite videos on UA-cam!
AaaaH!
Priceless reaction guys, and both you and us can't stop smiling listening to ANGELina
You should really watch her version of James Browns "It's A Man's World" of 2018. Don't miss out on that one!
When God handed out talents, Angelina Jordan Astar stood first in line!
Now watch/listen to her covering Etta James. Phenomenal.
For the perfect looks, voice and emotion I suggest her cover of Adele's Someone Like You at 13 years old,
She has done Sinatra's, Fly me to the Moon, My Way, You Make me Feel So Young.
you have found the only one who can be all your favorites in one little package 😍👍
If you didnt have headphones your smiles would go all the way around :D Brilliant reaction, thanks so much for sharing! Subscribed so I dont miss the next one.
Thank you, and welcome! - G
Thank you, Jacques! And welcome! - G
I love it when her hand finger ,are so cute
Love people’s reactions to this song!

Ertha Kitt died 12/05/2008
Angelina Jordan is now a recording artist at republic records this summer 2020
🤣 Indeed - G
One of the better reactions/reviews out there
Thank you 😊 - G
The spell has been cast! She is Great you. Guys. Need to check Bohemanan rapsidy on AGT
You will be hook line & sinker.
I think she is an soul 🤩🥰🙏
We are definitely not done with her 👍🏻 - G
My favorite is it’s called Amy Winehouse/
Angelina Jordan Back to back
So good 😊
When you look at the sum total of what Angelina has accomplished by the time she was twelve years old she leaves no doubt that she is a genius level talent.
Znice reaction... she does everything..frank sinatra fly me to the moon.. whitney houston.. adele john legend etc..etc..
